Chapter 269 Changes 5
"Well, I do have a lot of meat here that's been sitting inside my storage for a long time now," Solitary Tempest said as she quickly sent Michael a trade request.
"Me too, I didn't know they would come in handy one day," Black Sparrow said as he wasn't expecting that the meat that he had been collecting for a long time would actually become an important 'member' in the history of Snow Village.
Michael accepted their trade request one by one as stacks of meat numbering to a hundred slowly took over his storage space, almost filling out the entire thing.
"Wow, I didn't expect that you guys had stored a lot of this. It's amazing how you guys managed to have this much" Michael was actually amazed though. After all, most players would just ignore the chunk of meat on the ground, while the people who would only appreciate it are those who love meat or players who became chefs in the game.
After that short episode, the group once again continued forward as they move towards the direction of where Snow Village is located at.
"What about the others? Are they already on their way here?" asked Solitary Tempest who was walking beside Michael as she turned her head towards him.
Michael turned towards her and said, "Uhmm, Dylan and his fellow guild members are already on their way here. In fact, they arrived at Everwinter just two days after you guys made your way inside here"
"So they won't be long now. I just hope that they managed to get a lot of logs liked I asked them to. After all, finding a dry log here is like finding a needle in a haystack, and I don't know if we can even found one that's dry" Michael laughed, he even imagined how long the villagers spent on building their houses and walls with the current weather of this land.
"Come on! Hurry up! We want to reach the village soon, I hope you prepared a good lodging for us!" Viper yelled impatiently at Michael, and the latter just glared at him with a snicker on his face before Michael turned around and started walking forward.
Viper was a bit startled, then he turned towards Black Sparrow and said, "Did you see that look that he just gave me? Huu! What an annoying brat!"
Black Sparrow and Ripley who was walking beside him just laughed, as they knew Viper can't beat Michael in silly arguments.
While the group is enjoying their long-awaited reunion inside the game, the three hunters who Michael had seem to have forgotten are walking behind the group as they just watched what's happening before them with bewildered eyes.
"It seems we didn't need to do anything in the end," Gus said as he turned towards the two.
"Did our food shortage just got solved just like that? The Baron is really awesome to have friends like them" Anri said with amazement as he gazed at the back of Michael who was leading the group.
"I think we did. We didn't even do anything but just follow the Baron all the way here and we have already completed the task. The people at the village will be really amazed when they hear this" Gus said with a huge smile on his face.
"I just hope that everything will go as planned. After all, securing dry wood is really hard that there was even a time that we almost starve because we didn't manage to melt the ice covering the logs we found" Carter said while lightly shaking his head.
"Don't worry, the Baron surely has made preparations for those"
"Yeah, I'm sure he would lead our village to greatness!"
Carter gave the two a glance and shook his head as he thought.
'How is leading the village and the current lack of wood related to our village's prosperity?'
'I just hope the others don't have the same thoughts as this two'
Carter was worried, after all, depending too much on a person isn't good as it would impede their growth and their thought process.
In fact, it could even change someone's perceptiveness to the world that depending on someone is better than believing in themselves.
In another corner of Everwinter.
"Charge for me! Kill all those who dare to trespass our homes"
A huge pale-skinned Grey Orc with huge tusks protruding out of the side of his mouth roared with his huge ax pointing towards the army of Ice Trolls standing a distance away from them.
"Roar!" "Roar!" "Roar!"
Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!
Then the army of thousands of Grey Orcs roared towards the heavens as they charged towards their enemies!
"My brethren! This is the time that we take our rightful place in these lands! Kill all of the bastardy Orcs before you! Don't let even one of them lives this place alive!"
"ROOARRR!"
The roar of thousands of Ice Trolls reverberated throughout the lands that the surroundings even vibrated because of it.
The Ice Troll who was twice as big a normal adult Ice Troll and has a foot-long horn on his forehead smiled at his fellow brethren who are roaring to their heart's content.
"CHARGE!"
Then the two sides swarmed towards each other like ants!
Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!
Brammm! Bam! Bam!
The two charging tribes finally collide with each other, and the two sides quickly suffered hundreds of casualties during the initial collision of both sides.
The tribe of Grey Orcs is much more numerous than the tribe Ice Trolls by five to one, and even with that, they are suffering more casualties than the Ice Trolls, but that doesn't mean that the Ice Trolls are having an easy time.
It was because a single Ice Troll would face around seven to ten Grey Orcs, and even with their superior physique, it would still be hard for them to face that many orcs besieging them.
"Fight for your homes! Fight to your last breath!"
A reverberating roar once again sounded throughout the battlefield, and those Ice Trolls who heard that shout suddenly wobbled for a few seconds as they felt their ears ringing!
And the morale of the Grey Orcs suddenly went sky high like they were high on drugs as they just threw themselves to the Ice Trolls like mad..men!
