Chapter 885: Trapping Formation and Killing Formation

The terrain of the Heavenly Medicine Blessed Land is fan-shaped; it becomes narrower the deeper one goes. The seventh region can already be considered deep, yet it is still about half the size of Daozhou.

The escape technique of the Qilin Undying Medicine is too strong, and being an earth-element medicine, it can swiftly flee upon contact with the ground. Even the Earth Spirit Great Saint with the Later Earth Sacred Body cannot catch up, let alone others who can only trail from afar.

Su Han has been following the team for three days, but except for the first day when he saw the Qilin Undying Medicine, he hasn’t seen it again.

Not to mention the Qilin Undying Medicine, he hasn’t even caught sight of the Earth Spirit Great Saint since then, merely encountering the Buddha Great Saint occasionally. However, he’s not anxious; the Immortality Medicine isn’t easily captured, and impatience won’t help.

Over these three days, new members have joined this Saint Squad while some have left halfway, unable to handle it. After all, the Qilin Undying Medicine is cautious and flees at the slightest disturbance, making it harder to capture than other Immortality Medicines.

Nevertheless, Su Han has persisted, and through these three days, he has gradually gathered information about the current situation within the Heavenly Medicine Blessed Land.

The legendary Pan Peach Immortal Tree resides in the ninth region, but no one dares to venture there for now, as it is a terrifying presence akin to a Great Emperor Realm expert. The strongest entrant this time is merely at the quasi-Emperor level.

Both the seventh and eighth regions contain Immortality Medicines. No one intends to rush into the ninth region unless the Blessed Land’s opening period is about to end or other Immortality Medicines prove useless, and only the Pan Peach Immortality Medicine can save lives, prompting people to take risks in the ninth region.

Currently, the majority of saints are gathered in the seventh and eighth regions, with more saints in the eighth region, leading to fiercer competition. Though the seventh region is comparatively better, it’s just relative.

As for martial artists below the Third Layer of the Saint Realm or those below the Saint Realm, they are dashing through the front six regions. While Immortality Medicines are rare in the first six regions, there are still many Medicine Kings and Medicine Saints, making the competition slightly weaker.

"Have you heard? Although the Earth Spirit Great Saint seems to have been unable to catch up with the Qilin Undying Medicine these days, it’s actually been delaying time. It’s rumored that other members of King Yama’s Palace are setting up a Tian Luo Net Earthly Trap Formation."

Suddenly, a discussion arose, catching Su Han’s attention.

A Tian Luo Net Earthly Trap Formation?

It appears the Earth Spirit Great Saint isn’t that foolish, knowing to use formations to trap the Qilin Undying Medicine. If they kept pursuing like this, they wouldn’t catch up even after the three-month opening period ends.

However, the Qilin Undying Medicine rivals Saint Realm Ninth Layer experts; a regular Holy Formation can’t confine it.

"There’s some inside news; reportedly, the Earth Spirit Great Saint has already gathered nine saints from King Yama’s Palace to set up a supreme-grade Holy Formation—a Tian Luo Net Earthly Trap Formation capable of trapping Great Saints. Although this Qilin Undying Medicine is strong, once it steps into the formation, it can’t escape."

A discussion ensued nearby, benefiting Su Han.

This Qilin Undying Medicine is too important for the Earth Spirit Great Saint, and this time, he’s willing to go to any lengths.

"Rumor has it the Tian Luo Net Earthly Trap Formation is already set up, and the Earth Spirit Great Saint is currently driving the Qilin Undying Medicine into the formation."

"We’ve been chasing for over half a month, and now there’s finally a chance to witness this Qilin Undying Medicine firsthand. However, competition is fierce; if the Qilin Undying Medicine gets trapped, a battle for it is inevitable."

"Alas, too many monks and too little gruel; there are only a few Immortality Medicines, and everyone wants one, so naturally, it’s a matter of skill. We might as well watch from the sidelines; perhaps we might find an opportunity to grab something left behind!"

The chatter continued, and these two weren’t bothering to use Divine Sense for secret communication, unafraid of eavesdroppers. After all, it’s no secret, and regarding grabbing something left behind, everyone in the Saint Squad harbors such thoughts.

"The Tian Luo Net Earthly Trap Formation might be my chance!"

Su Han’s eyes gleamed with brilliance; in a simple contest, given his current strength, obtaining the Qilin Undying Medicine would be difficult. Whether it’s the Earth Spirit Great Saint or the Buddha Great Saint, both are Great Saint experts. Even the Thunder Sound Sword Saint and Heart Sword Saint are Saint Realm Ninth Layer.

Su Han is currently at the Saint Realm Second Layer; even with the amplification from the Ghostly Face Mask, he’s at most Saint Realm Fifth Layer, still far from these top experts.

But formations are another matter; Su Han has high formation mastery and possesses the Glyph Secret. Apart from Emperor Formations, he has the opportunity to break even supreme-grade Holy Formations.

At this thought, a glimmer of hope surfaced in Su Han’s heart.

In the following two days, Su Han continued mingling with this Saint Squad, gathering some information from their conversations daily.

Finally, good news arrived!

"A breakthrough, the Qilin Undying Medicine has been driven into the Tian Luo Net Earthly Trap Formation by the Earth Spirit Great Saint and can’t escape now!"

Upon hearing the news, everyone became excited and energized, accelerating their pace to chase after it.

Su Han followed in the crowd, soon sensing the familiar aura of the Buddha Great Saint.

Following the Buddha Great Saint, they reached a section of complex terrain in the mountains full of hills, peaks, countless spiritual herbs, all vibrant green.

Yet, regular spiritual herbs were utterly overlooked. Even Medicine Saints were ignored because there was one that was worth more than countless Medicine Saints: the Qilin Undying Medicine.

Rumble!

Su Han utilized the Nine Heavens Eye to look ahead, spotting the familiar Qilin scrambling amidst the mountains but unable to flee.

Formation patterns intertwined, creating a vast Tian Luo Net, sealing both sky and earth, along with temporal interference. The Qilin Undying Medicine, despite its formidable escape techniques, couldn’t flee.

"Hmm?"

Suddenly, Su Han’s gaze sharpened, noticing something unusual.

The Nine Heavens Eye pierces illusions and sees the essence, coupled with his formation knowledge, revealing a hidden, formidable Killing Formation within the Tian Luo Net Earthly Trap Formation.

The Tian Luo Net Earthly Trap Formation, designed for confinement rather than damage, set by King Yama’s Palace’s nine saints, has trapped the Qilin Undying Medicine, with the Earth Spirit Great Saint and the nine saints pursuing it in the mountains.

Yet, the Buddha Great Saint wasn’t willing to be left behind, rushing into the mountains, and the battle for the Qilin Undying Medicine commenced.

From the rear, the Thunder Sound Sword Saint and Heart Sword Saint entered, alongside numerous saints, fueling a chaotic contest over the Qilin Undying Medicine.

However, King Yama’s Palace spent enormous resources to trap the Qilin Undying Medicine and wouldn’t let others tarnish it. Hence, they secretly set up a Killing Formation within the Tian Luo Net Earthly Trap Formation. This formation is extremely discreet, unnoticed by others but seen through by Su Han’s Nine Heavens Eye.

A trap and a Killing Formation: King Yama’s Palace aims to capture everything in one net!
