"She’s gone to make pottery?"

The moment Serena heard the report, the corners of her mouth lifted into a wide grin.

She couldn’t hold back her laughter.

"Hahaha!"

A so-called Daughter of Destiny, yet after all this time, what was she doing?

Making pottery.

That was all.

Serena’s eyes gleamed with disdain.

Once she obtained the Salt Well and expanded the Black Pig Tribe’s strength, Sora would probably be able to spend every single day sitting around making pottery.

The thought alone made Serena feel pleased.

She leaned back against the white animal-skin chair and casually asked, "Apart from going out to make pottery, has there been any other movement from the people of the Wolf Tribe?"

Mambo immediately shook his head.

"I haven’t seen anyone leave."

He thought for a moment before adding, "They’re all enthusiastically using those Pox Scabs to treat the plague toxin among the people from the other Tribes. They seem very kind-hearted."

"Kind-hearted?"

Serena sneered.

What a joke.

The people of the Wolf Tribe were strangely hypocritical.

They were so generous and compassionate toward outsiders, yet when it came to her, they had shown no mercy at all.

Back then, they had driven her away and nearly cost her life.

Now they were pretending to be benevolent?

Hmph.

Serena didn’t believe it for a moment.

"Not a single person has gone out?"

"No."

Mambo answered firmly.

Serena’s expression darkened.

If nobody left the Wolf Tribe, how was she supposed to locate the Salt Well?

That old wolf Martin had hidden it far too well.

She had already sent people to watch the Wolf Tribe carefully, yet they hadn’t found the slightest clue.

The Salt Well seemed to have disappeared into the earth.

Even with people keeping watch, there wasn’t a single useful lead.

It appeared that she would have to use another method.

Serena’s fingers lightly tapped against the armrest of the chair.

After thinking for a moment, she turned toward Mambo.

"Go and call Red Frost over."

Mat immediately nodded.

"Yes, Madam."

He turned and walked out.

Mambo remained standing in place.

Seeing that Serena hadn’t dismissed him, he cautiously asked, "What about me, Madam?"

Serena glanced at him.

After considering the matter briefly, she leaned closer and whispered several instructions into his ear.

Mambo’s eyes gradually widened.

Then he nodded repeatedly.

"Don’t worry, Madam. I will definitely handle this properly."

"Go."

Mambo bowed and left.

Not long after, Red Frost happened to enter.

The moment she stepped inside, her eyes landed on Serena sitting comfortably on the white animal-skin chair.

A faint resentment flashed through Red Frost’s eyes.

However, she concealed it almost immediately.

She respectfully performed a salute.

"Madam, did you call for me?"

Serena looked at the delicate-looking Female standing before her.

A faint smile appeared on her lips.

"Red Frost, you like Henry, don’t you?"

Red Frost’s expression changed slightly.

She looked directly at Serena.

"I don’t know what Madam means."

Serena’s eyelids twitched.

This Female was more cautious than she had expected.

She quickly softened her expression.

"You don’t have to be so nervous. Liking Henry isn’t something shameful."

She smiled.

"Henry is such a heroic Beastman. It would actually be strange if you didn’t like him."

Red Frost remained silent.

After a moment, she slowly replied, "I don’t understand what Madam is trying to say. Did Madam call me here today just to discuss this?"

She paused.

"If that’s the case, Madam doesn’t need to worry. I won’t have any improper thoughts about the Chieftain."

Before Serena had appeared, Red Frost had not been completely without hope.

She had once confessed her feelings to Henry.

She had called him Brother Henry and hoped that one day they could form a Contract Totem.

But Henry had always rejected her.

He had said that the Tribe came first.

The Tribe needed him.

There were too many responsibilities on his shoulders.

At that time, Red Frost had accepted his explanation.

But then Serena arrived.

After seeing Serena, Henry’s attitude had changed almost immediately.

That was when Red Frost finally understood.

It wasn’t that Brother Henry didn’t want a Contract Totem.

He simply didn’t want one with her.

Since Henry liked Serena, what else could Red Frost say?

She had already accepted that reality.

After saying what she needed to say, Red Frost turned around, intending to leave.

"Wait."

Serena hurriedly stood up and reached out to pull her back.

"Actually, if you want to form a Contract Totem with Henry, it isn’t impossible."

Red Frost froze.

She turned around in surprise.

"You..."

Her expression was filled with disbelief.

"The Chieftain treats you so well. Yet you’re actually willing to dissolve your Contract with him?"

Serena immediately shook her head.

"I don’t want to."

Her expression became sorrowful.

"I simply have no choice."

Red Frost frowned.

"What do you mean?"

Serena lowered her eyes.

For a moment, she looked like a Female who had been carrying an unbearable burden for a very long time.

Then she whispered,

"The Witch Doctor said my body isn’t healthy enough to carry a little cub."

Red Frost was stunned.

A moment later, an uncontrollable wave of joy surged through her heart.

She hadn’t expected Serena to be a useless Female.

From the outside, Serena appeared intelligent, capable, and exceptionally clever.

Yet she couldn’t give birth.

To Beastmen, the ability to bear little cubs was one of the most important considerations when forming a Contract Totem.

What use was there in forming a Contract Totem with a Female who couldn’t even bear cubs?

Red Frost quickly concealed the joy in her eyes.

She stepped forward and comforted Serena.

"Madam, don’t worry."

"Perhaps the Witch Doctor simply hasn’t discovered the right treatment yet. Once a method is found, you’ll be able to have a little cub soon."

Serena naturally noticed the subtle change in Red Frost’s expression.

She sneered inwardly.

This Female couldn’t even hide her thoughts properly, yet she wanted to take her position as Chieftain’s Wife?

How naive.

But that was precisely what made Red Frost useful.

Because she wanted Henry, Serena’s plan would be much easier to execute.

Serena sighed heavily.

"There’s no way."

"I’ve been seeking treatment from the Witch Doctor for a long time, but nothing has worked."

She looked at Red Frost with an expression filled with sadness.

"Red Frost, actually, you’re the most suitable Female for Henry."

"If I continue staying by his side, Henry may never have a little cub."

A flash of excitement appeared in Red Frost’s eyes.

She immediately suppressed it.

Then she stepped forward and hugged Serena.

"Chieftain’s Wife, please don’t say that."

"The Chieftain likes you. Perhaps he doesn’t care about these things."

"Henry..."

Serena sighed.

"He’s a good Beastman. Perhaps he truly doesn’t care."

"But I do."

"I can’t let him remain without little cubs."

"If there are no cubs, what will happen to this Tribe?"

Her voice trembled slightly.

"Sigh..."

"Actually, I once mentioned dissolving our Contract relationship to him."

"I even mentioned you."

Serena stopped there.

Her expression became hesitant, as though the rest of the story was too painful to say.

Red Frost immediately became anxious.

"But what?"

Serena remained silent for several seconds.

Finally, she said quietly,

"He refused."

"He said he only regarded you as a younger sister."

Red Frost’s hand, which had been gently patting Serena’s back, suddenly froze.

Younger sister?

That was all she was to him?

Brother Henry truly didn’t like her.

He would rather stay with a Female who couldn’t bear cubs than choose her.

A faint trace of mockery appeared at the corner of Serena’s mouth.

But she quickly concealed it.

"Actually, I think Henry simply hasn’t discovered your good qualities yet, Red Frost."

"If you could help him accomplish something important, he would definitely see you differently."

"And when I mention you to him again, perhaps he won’t reject you."

Red Frost’s eyes brightened.

"Is there anything the Chieftain cannot accomplish?"

In her heart, Henry had always been an incredibly powerful and capable Beastman.

To her, he seemed almost omnipotent.

How could there be something that he couldn’t accomplish?

Serena smiled faintly.

"There is indeed one thing that’s giving Henry a headache right now."

"What is it?"

"He learned that the Wolf Tribe possesses a Salt Well."

Serena’s voice lowered.

"But he has no way of obtaining it."

She looked directly into Red Frost’s eyes.

"If you can help Henry obtain that Salt Well, he will definitely be grateful to you."

"Salt Well?"

Red Frost was stunned.

Salt was extremely valuable.

Finding a Salt Well was undoubtedly an extraordinary achievement.

But...

"The Wolf Tribe?"

Red Frost frowned.

"I don’t even know anyone from the Wolf Tribe. How can I help?"

Serena saw that Red Frost had already taken the bait.

She immediately leaned closer and whispered several things into her ear.

Red Frost listened carefully.

The more she heard, the more suspicious she became.

When Serena finished, Red Frost looked at her.

"How do you know the Wolf Tribe so well?"

Serena’s expression instantly became sorrowful.

"To tell you the truth..."

She lowered her eyes.

"It was precisely because I discovered that Salt Well that the Wolf Tribe took it over."

"They tried to hunt me down and kill me."

Red Frost was stunned.

She remembered that Serena had indeed arrived at the Tribe with serious injuries.

That made the story sound believable.

However, Red Frost still couldn’t completely understand Serena’s intentions.

She looked at her cautiously.

"If I help Brother Henry obtain the Salt Well, what will happen to you afterward?"

Serena immediately answered,

"Don’t worry."

"I will definitely make Henry form a Contract Totem with you."

She gave a bitter smile.

"This body of mine can’t bear children anyway."

"There’s no use in him keeping me."

"Once he accepts you, he’ll let me go."

Red Frost stared at her.

Serena continued,

"I’ll find somewhere to live on my own."

"Consider it the last thing I can do for him as his wife."

Her voice was filled with sorrow.

"As Chieftain’s Wife, I’ve failed to conceive for so long."

"The people in the Tribe already have their opinions about me."

Red Frost’s expression shifted.

Although she didn’t completely believe every word Serena said, she was confident about one thing.

Whether Serena fulfilled her promise or not, her position as Chieftain’s Wife was already becoming unstable.

And if Red Frost could help Henry obtain the Salt Well...

She would become a hero of the Tribe.

At that time, Brother Henry would surely look at her differently.

Didn’t Serena herself become close to Henry by relying on those special chickens and pottery?

A Salt Well was far more valuable than either of those things.

Red Frost’s eyes slowly filled with determination.

If she could obtain the Salt Well for Henry, she would prove her worth.

And once she became a hero of the Tribe, perhaps Henry would finally see her differently.

Serena watched the change in Red Frost’s expression.

A faint smile appeared beneath her lowered eyes.

Everything was proceeding exactly as she had planned.

She had no intention of surrendering her position.

Nor did she intend to give Henry to Red Frost.

She merely needed someone foolish enough to walk into the trap for her.

And now, Red Frost had willingly stepped into it herself.

The Salt Well was hidden somewhere within the Wolf Tribe.

Martin had concealed it carefully, and Serena’s people had been unable to discover its location.

But if Red Frost could approach the Wolf Tribe using the information Serena had given her, perhaps she could uncover the secret.

As for what would happen afterward...

That was another matter entirely.
