Fat and Ugly Villainess Wins Back Her Five Beast Husband
Chapter 235: The Red Fox Disappointment
Hearing this, Henry’s eyes flickered evasively.
"Soon. It should be soon!"
"What do you mean, ’soon’?" Serena’s brows furrowed.
This Henry was simply too unmotivated. He had taken so long just to break through a single rank of Beast Transformation.
When she first learned that he was a Rank Four Black Pig, she had thought he was quite impressive. That was why, despite his origins in the Black Pig Tribe, she had still formed a totem Contract with him.
Now, however, it seemed that Rank Four Beast Transformation might already be the highest Beast Rank he could reach.
That wouldn’t do.
If things continued like this, it would take forever for her to get her revenge.
"It’s just a little bit more. I’ll be able to break through soon," Henry said evasively.
"Henry, didn’t we agree? You would work hard to break through your Beast Rank, and I would help you expand the Tribe?"
"But I’m already quite powerful now. Why do I still have to work so hard to break through my Beast Rank?"
Henry genuinely didn’t understand what Serena was thinking.
His Rank Four status was already the strongest among the Tribes within a hundred-mile radius. Why did she still insist that he break through?
Cultivation was exhausting. Wasn’t it better to live a peaceful life?
He was already satisfied with being Rank Four, while Lucas and the others were still Rank Five and diligently cultivating in hopes of breaking through their Beast Ranks.
She really couldn’t understand what he had to be so proud of.
Serena felt a surge of contempt in her heart.
However, remembering that she still needed to rely on him, she patiently persuaded him once again.
"Henry, I believe you can do it. Didn’t you say you wanted a little cub? If your little cub knows that their Beast Father is a Rank Five beastman, wouldn’t they be proud of you?"
"Serena, do you mean you’ve finally agreed to carry a little cub?"
Henry’s eyes lit up with joy.
Serena nodded.
"The Witch Doctor said my body has been properly conditioned, and I can carry a little cub now. However, I still want to wait until you break through to Rank Five. That way, when our little cub is born, they’ll have a Rank Five Beast Father."
Hearing this, Henry became as excited as if someone had injected him with an endless supply of energy.
"Serena, don’t worry! I’ll definitely cultivate diligently and break through to Rank Five Beast Transformation as soon as possible. Our little cub will have a powerful Beast Father from the moment they’re born!"
Serena looked at him tenderly.
"Yes, I believe you can do it."
Fortunately, Henry was still someone who would listen to her.
Her calculations hadn’t been wasted.
"However, let me get some good practice in advance today!"
After saying that, the Black Pig’s stinking mouth moved toward Serena’s lips.
Serena tried to endure it, but she couldn’t. She immediately pushed him away.
Seeing this, Henry’s expression darkened.
"Serena, are you rejecting me again?"
Serena took a moment to suppress the urge to vomit.
Seeing Henry’s expression worsening, she immediately changed the subject.
"It’s not like that. I suddenly remembered that I need to retrace my steps from memory so I can find the location of that Salt Well. Remember to assign a few people to accompany me tomorrow."
Hearing that it concerned the Salt Well, Henry’s expression immediately improved.
He nodded.
"Then I’ll have Mat and Mambo go with you tomorrow."
Serena nodded.
She took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and kissed Henry on the Adam’s apple.
Seeing Serena take the initiative, all the discomfort in Henry’s heart vanished instantly. He lowered his head and tried to kiss her.
But when he moved toward her lips again, Serena tilted her head away.
"Not there. I have to go out tomorrow."
"You’re so troublesome..."
Henry grumbled, but he still complied.
Because she was going to make pottery, Sora got up early the next morning.
After washing up, she sat in a chair inside the Wild Kitchen, yawning repeatedly.
Seeing her yawn again and again, Ace couldn’t help but worry.
"Kaelira, you’re carrying a little cub right now. Running around day and night like this is too exhausting. Why don’t you stay behind this time? I know how to make pottery too. I can go and teach them."
Before Sora became pregnant with the little cub, her mental state had already been much better than it was now.
Seeing her looking so tired, Ace couldn’t bear to watch her continue exhausting herself.
Lukan also nodded.
"Yes. If you’re worried about them, there’s also me."
Sora shook her head.
"No. I promised the people of the Tribe. I have to go this time."
Having just become their Leader, she needed to spend more time with them and build a good relationship with the Tribe.
More importantly, she had a feeling that this ridiculous system might malfunction at any moment.
If her identity as someone other than the Original Owner were ever exposed, and her Beast Husbands and Martin failed to recognize her, then these Dragon might be the only people she could rely on.
Although her Water Elemental Ability had improved considerably, she understood one simple truth:
The more allies she had, the safer she would be.
Still, there was another reason she was becoming increasingly cautious.
She was pregnant.
Even though her belly wasn’t very large yet, she could already feel that her body wasn’t as tireless as it had once been. What had previously been an easy journey could now leave her exhausted.
She didn’t want to be careless with the little cub growing inside her.
At the same time, she didn’t want everyone treating her like she was made of glass.
She needed to find a balance.
She could still move around, work, and lead her people, but she would no longer recklessly push herself beyond her limits.
Xavier also felt distressed, but he knew Sora’s stubborn personality too well.
If they completely stopped her from going, she would only become unhappy.
He glanced around before saying, "Let her go. It’s good for her to walk around while her belly isn’t that big yet. There won’t be many chances to travel once her pregnancy progresses further."
Hearing this, the Beast Husbands finally stopped trying to persuade her.
Still, they remained alert.
None of them intended to let Sora carry heavy things or push herself too hard.
If she became tired, they would make sure she rested.
After all, she wasn’t traveling alone.
Meanwhile, Drake and the people from the Tribe were already waiting nearby.
When Drake saw Sora, he nodded toward her, indicating that everyone from the Tribe was ready.
When Nick Wilde learned the previous day that Sora had asked him to set out early that morning to make pottery, he had become so excited that he barely slept.
He had spent half the night choosing among his collection of animal-skin clothing.
In the end, he selected a black fox-skin outfit.
After all, he was going to spend time alone with Sora.
Naturally, he had to look his best.
The thought alone had filled him with excitement.
He put on the animal-skin clothing, gathered his belongings, and hurried toward the Wild Kitchen.
But the moment he arrived, his expression froze.
His eyes widened.
This wasn’t going to be a private pottery-making trip with Sora at all.
There was a huge crowd gathered in front of him.
It was one thing for her Beast Husbands to accompany her.
But there were also dozens of people from the dragon Tribe!
From the looks of things, he wasn’t getting a private outing with Sora.
He was simply joining a large group of people going to make pottery.
The joy that had filled Nick Wilde’s heart only moments earlier disappeared instantly.
His expression became gloomy.
What happened to the private date with Sora?
What was going on?
Watching the foolish Red Fox’s expression change from excitement to disappointment despite all his careful preparation, Ace felt an indescribable sense of satisfaction.
He nudged Lucas beside him and laughed.
"I told you we’d get to see a good show. Look at how dressed up he is! He probably thought he’d be alone with Sora, only to arrive and discover this!"
Lucas was also in an excellent mood.
"Exactly. He’s dreaming. With all of us here, does he really think he’ll get to be alone with Sora? No chance."
Sora noticed Nick Wilde’s arrival and glanced around at everyone.
"Everyone is here. Let’s set out!"
The moment she finished speaking, the dragon Beastmen transformed.
The scene before Sora suddenly became spectacular.
A purple snake.
A red fox.
A black leopard.
An ice-blue fish.
A golden Phoenix.
A dark-gray Black Bear.
A majestic white tiger.
And a black-and-white dragon.
Eight enormous beasts crouched before her.
For a moment, Sora stared at them.
At first glance, the scene looked as though she had somehow walked into a strange magical zoo.
Before she could even decide what to do, several of them immediately began competing for her attention.
"Kaelira, choose me!"
"Get lost, you dead tiger! You’re crowding me!"
"My wings are still the most comfortable to sit on!"
"Choose me, Kaelira!"
The chaos began almost instantly.
Sora couldn’t help but rub her forehead.
These men...
They really never missed an opportunity to compete.
She had already seen the true forms of her five Beast Husbands several times, so their transformations didn’t surprise her anymore.
However, this was her first time seeing Damien’s true Black Bear form.
She hadn’t expected him to be so enormous.
His shiny black fur made him look like a gigantic plush toy from the Apocalypse.
Only this plush toy could probably flatten a beastman with one swipe of its paw.
Then there was Nick Wilde.
His red fox form was every bit as imposing as she had imagined.
His powerful body was covered in red fur marked by striking black stripes, and his golden eyes carried an intimidating majesty.
Even in his beast form, it was obvious why he was considered one of the cunning predators in the Beast World.
As for Drake, his dragon form was much larger than Sora had expected.
Yet strangely enough, he wasn’t frightening.
Instead, he looked rather cute.
His face resembled that of a fox, while his body was shaped more like a train.
And his long tail was unmistakably covered in distinct rings.
Sora’s gaze moved from one beast to another.
Eight choices.
Eight different personalities.
And every single one of them was waiting for her decision.
The men immediately began showing off their advantages.
The red fox lowered himself, clearly inviting her to climb onto his back.
The phoneix spread his emerald wings proudly.
The Black Bear shifted his enormous body forward.
The White Tiger lifted his head, looking particularly majestic.
Even the others refused to lose.
"Kaelira, come here!"
"No, choose me!"
"I’m faster!"
"You’ll be safer with me!"
Sora stared at them for a moment.
Then she couldn’t help laughing.
"You’re all ridiculous."
Her pregnancy made her more cautious these days, but she wasn’t helpless.
She knew her body better than anyone.
If she became tired, she would rest.
If the journey became too difficult, she would stop.
And with eight powerful beastmen surrounding her, there was no shortage of people willing to carry her.
So she didn’t need to worry too much.
She simply had to choose the most convenient one.
After taking another look, Sora finally selected one of them to ride.
She climbed onto his back and settled herself comfortably.
Then she waved her hand toward the waiting group.
"It’s getting late. Let’s go!"
The entire group immediately began moving.
And just like that, the journey to the Red Land officially began.
What Sora didn’t know was that this simple trip to make pottery would soon bring more than just clay, rice, and household tools into her life.
There were secrets waiting for her in the Red Land.
And somewhere along the way, the delicate balance among her Beast Husbands was about to become even more chaotic.
