"Scheming love"—that didn’t sound like a good term.

At the thought of several Beast Husbands surrounding her, wanting to be with her twenty-four hours a day, Sora felt exhausted.

With a look of horror, she said, "System, don’t tell me I have to turn these people I’ve captured from ’Filter love’ into ’scheming love’ who cling to me twenty-four hours a day."

Even without starting the capture process, Sora felt that the scene would be too much for her just by thinking about it.

"Host, if you don’t want to increase your score, you can ignore it and move directly to capturing the next level."

"Wait, I’m already at a hundred points. How are there more points to gain?"

"Friendly reminder: The maximum score for a single capture target is 1,000 points. Your current highest score for a capture target is 100."

Sora: "..."

In that case, she had no choice but to go through the scheming love level.

Otherwise, how would the score go up?

Sora said somewhat despairingly, "They want to be stuck to me twenty-four hours a day. I can’t exactly cut myself into several pieces to accompany them, can I?"

She didn’t have the art of cloning.

"Host, do not worry. The system has considered that this operation is somewhat difficult. You only need to ensure that the capture target wants to be with you every moment."

Hearing this, Sora breathed a sigh of relief.

That was more like it.

"Then what is the specific manifestation of this?"

"The system will issue an announcement when the time comes."

Hearing this, Sora finally felt completely at ease.

At least she didn’t have to worry about being physically torn into pieces just to satisfy several Beast Husbands at once.

However, Sora could leave as if nothing had happened because she was pregnant with a little cub.

Lukan could not.

After seeing Sora leave, the others instantly shifted their gazes to Lukan, who was lying on the ground.

Ever since Sora became pregnant with a little cub, they had compromised repeatedly, waiting for her to come around on her own.

They had thought everyone shared the same tacit understanding.

Who would have thought that the seemingly upright and dignified Lukan would actually get together with Sora behind their backs?

Lukan needed to explain to everyone.

What was the meaning of this?

And he had specifically chosen the wild grass thicket.

Instead of sleeping in a spacious and clean Wooden Hut, he had come to this wild grassland.

If it wasn’t to hide it from them, then what was it for?

"Speak up! How do you plan to resolve today’s matter?"

Xavier crossed his arms and tilted his chin toward the man in front of him.

Hearing this, Lukan patted off the weeds clinging to him.

His expression remained completely calm as he asked,

"Resolve what?"

"Lukan, don’t play dumb. No matter what, you have to give everyone an explanation for today’s matter."

Lucas never imagined that Lukan would have a day where he played rogue.

Lukan remained composed upon hearing this.

He unhurriedly picked at the weeds on his Beast-hide Skirt that wouldn’t brush off, saying serenely,

"What explanation? Kaelira and I have formed a totem bond. Doing anything with her is the most natural thing between husband and wife."

He raised his eyes and looked calmly at the others.

"Why? Do I have to notify you in advance before mating?"

"Fine! Lukan, so you’re this kind of person. I misjudged you before."

Lucas was full of indignation upon hearing these words.

Lukan glanced at him without the slightest trace of embarrassment.

"It’s not too late to get to know me now."

His answer was so calm that Lucas almost choked on his own anger.

Xavier looked at the blunt speaker in front of him, his lips curling slightly into a mocking sneer.

"You’ve finally stopped pretending. Your fake smile every time is annoying to look at."

He really hadn’t focused on the wrong person.

Compared to the others, Lukan was the biggest trouble.

He had always seemed gentle and easygoing.

But now that they had seen his true nature, Xavier finally realized just how dangerous this man could be when it came to Sora.

Lukan didn’t take Xavier’s words to heart.

As he passed by Xavier, he gave a gentle laugh.

"As long as Kaelira likes it, that’s enough."

Seeing Lukan about to leave, Ace called out to him, looking at him in disbelief.

"You’re just going to leave like that?"

Lukan didn’t look back.

His steps continued forward as his clear, mellow voice drifted through the air.

"Today’s matter wouldn’t have happened if I were the only one who wanted it."

Ace’s face turned ashen as he watched the departing figure.

"What does he mean? Is he mocking me?"

It wouldn’t have happened if he were the only one who wanted it.

Was he trying to say that Sora also wanted it today, so they got together?

How had he never noticed before that although Lukan’s every word was gentle, they all hid knives?

Ace curled his lips and said with a smile,

"Lukan is reminding us that his position in Kaelira’s heart is extraordinary. As long as he wants to, Kaelira will be with him."

He paused, then added with a light chuckle,

"And he also mocked us in passing, saying our skills are inferior to his."

Interesting.

This Lukan was not simple.

"What’s so great about it? It’s just being full of schemes!"

Lucas said disdainfully.

Ryan spoke up for a rare moment.

"It seems Lukan is determined to win. We underestimated him."

Indeed.

How could someone who became Martin’s right-hand man be simple?

In an instant, all five of them fell silent.

Their eyes swirled with various unidentifiable emotions.

The night that had been stirred into giant waves by Lukan finally passed without further incident.

Meanwhile, Sora had a good night’s sleep.

After stretching, she got out of bed and walked to the door.

Having eaten breakfast made by her Beast Husbands for several days in a row, she was getting a bit tired of it.

Today, no matter what, she was going to make a delicious meal herself to reward her stomach.

She had been eating the same kinds of food repeatedly, and although the Beast Husbands had put plenty of effort into preparing them, Sora’s palate was beginning to crave something different.

Just as she opened the door, however, she was greeted by an unexpected sight.

Six people were standing there in a row.

Each of them was holding a ceramic bowl.

Sora glanced at them and said lazily,

"What are you all standing here for? Holding bowls—are you begging for food from me?"

Seeing Sora come out, Lucas immediately walked over eagerly with the contents of his bowl.

"What does ’begging for food’ mean? Kaelira, I made breakfast for you."

He proudly lifted the bowl.

"Look, this is an egg pancake I just made. It’s delicious."

After Lucas went back yesterday, he had reflected on his mistakes.

Wasn’t Lukan holding onto Sora firmly just because he knew how to cook a bit?

What was so great about that?

He could do it too.

So early this morning, Lucas got up and went to the Wild Kitchen to make this crispy, golden egg pancake.

This was his first time cooking.

Because of that, he couldn’t help but feel a mixture of excitement and expectation.

He had worked hard on the pancake, carefully following what he remembered from watching the others cook.

Now, he was eager to know what Sora thought.

Sora glanced at the egg pancake Lucas brought over.

It did look good.

The surface was golden and oily, and from its appearance alone, it seemed like he had put considerable effort into it.

However, Sora had been eating egg pancakes for several days now.

Honestly, she was already a little sick of them.

She nodded perfunctorily.

"It’s indeed not bad."

Lucas’s face immediately lit up with joy.

It seemed that knowing how to cook really was important.

Even Sora had praised him.

He licked his lips and was about to say more when Ace nudged him aside with his hip.

Then Ace held up the Corn Pancake he had made for Sora to see.

"What about me? Kaelira, I made you a Corn Pancake. How is it? Not bad, right?"

Sora glanced at it.

The presentation was indeed good.

However, it was too oily.

She nodded perfunctorily again.

"This one is also not bad."

Hearing this, the smile on Ace’s face deepened.

"Then take it. This is what you’ll have for breakfast today."

Sora yawned and shook her head.

"While it’s not bad, I plan to eat something new today, so I won’t be eating yours."

"Something new?"

Ace immediately looked curious.

"What is it? Is it better than the Corn Pancake I made?"

Sora looked at him.

"Have you heard of knife-shaved noodles?"

Ace was stunned.

"Huh? Never heard of it."

"Well, that’s what I’m planning to eat today."

As soon as Sora finished speaking, the Beast Husbands exchanged glances.

Knife-shaved noodles?

They had never heard of such a thing.

But judging from Sora’s confident expression, it was clearly another strange and delicious food she had brought from her memories.

For Sora, however, the thought of knife-shaved noodles had already made her stomach rumble slightly.

After being surrounded by Beast Husbands and dragged into a chaotic emotional confrontation the previous night, she wanted nothing more than to eat something delicious and peaceful.

Unfortunately, judging from the six Beastmen standing in front of her with bowls in their hands, peace probably wasn’t going to last very long.

Sora sighed silently.

It seemed that her peaceful breakfast was already doomed.
