Unlike other beastman couples who would sleep together, they had kept their distance. Initially, it was because they disliked Sora’s various actions. So they had avoided being with her, and they had tacitly agreed not to mention it.

But now it was different.

They had made it with Sora, especially since she was now carrying their young. Sleeping together had become particularly important. The key point was that there were some unspoken benefits hidden within this arrangement.

Everyone was geared up, trying to impress Sora.

Yet she rejected them outright.

Lucas was still waiting for Sora to agree, hoping to use this opportunity to show off in front of her, but she refused. It felt like he had boiled the water and was just waiting to put the rice in, only for the rice to refuse.

He could not accept Sora’s rejection.

His gaze was intense as he looked at her.

"I disagree. This night watch is a tradition. If you refuse, how will the people of the tribe see me? Us?"

Huh?

Did she hear that right?

The usually indifferent Lucas actually cared about the tribe’s opinion of him one day.

She rolled her eyes at him and replied, "Don’t worry. With your beast transformation level, they wouldn’t dare to gossip about you. After all, who would voluntarily seek trouble? No matter how much the tribe loved gossiping, they still had some discernment about what could and couldn’t be said."

Not to mention, the original owner had been neglected by several beastmen for so long. The gossip in the tribe had always been about Sora, while the others had hardly been mentioned.

Seeing Sora block his words, Lucas spoke again.

"I don’t care."

"Besides the people in the tribe, if my Mum finds out, she will blame me."

Upon hearing this, Sora was even more speechless.

Lucas’s Mum wasn’t even here.

How could she know that her son hadn’t kept watch over a female?

Moreover, there were no descendants of theirs in her belly, so there was even less to say.

"It’s fine. Your Mum isn’t here. We can say she doesn’t know, right?"

"Yeah, but it’s too late. I’ve already told her."

Lucas stubbornly insisted.

"Can I ask how you told her?"

Upon hearing this, Sora was directly at a loss for words.

Did he think this was the apocalypse where a message could be sent through the light brain?

In this beast world, there was neither paper nor pen.

So, how could messages be conveyed?

Upon hearing this, Lucas straightened his neck, and after meeting Sora’s questioning gaze, he puffed out his chest and said, "We phoneix can fly, and we can relay messages through other birds."

This was indeed a method she had never considered.

Birds did have an advantage in delivering messages.

However, since they were not as kind, what use was a statement? Was it all about participation?

As soon as Lucas said this, not only did Sora feel he was being overly enthusiastic, but even the other beastmen felt the same.

Why was he so concerned about a little cub that had nothing to do with him?

However, since they were temporarily on the same side, Xavier and Ace remained silent. Damien curled his lips, feeling that Lucas’s eagerness to be with Sora was too obvious.

However, since their interests aligned for now, he also chose to stay quiet.

Sora wasn’t buying this absurd reasoning.

Yawning, she said, "Your mother seems to care about you quite a bit, even mentioning such things. But don’t worry. If she gives you trouble because of this, I will definitely tell her that this was my choice and has nothing to do with you."

Aside from this, does anyone have any other opinions?

"No. Then I go to sleep."

Sora covered her mouth as she yawned and glanced at the others, her eyes full of drowsiness.

She didn’t know if it was because she was pregnant, but she felt that she had been getting sleepy easily lately.

Ace wanted to say something, but seeing how tired Sora looked while still talking to them, he immediately stopped.

There was no rush.

They could take their time discussing this with her.

Xavier, Ryan, and Lukan shared the same thought when they noticed Sora’s pale complexion.

It was very important for a female carrying a cub to get good rest.

Thinking of this, they shook their heads and said, "Then you should rest early."

Sora was somewhat surprised that Xavier didn’t say anything and just agreed, but as long as she could rest, nothing else mattered.

She nodded and said, "You all should sleep early, too."

After saying that, she closed the door.

Lucas looked at the door that had been closed again and angrily glanced at the others.

"You just agreed to her like that."

Mark replied calmly, "She’s very tired and needs to rest."

Hearing this, Lucas said, "No more. After all, health is the priority."

Early the next morning, Sora woke up to find breakfast ready.

The food was still the same as yesterday.

While it was nice not to have to make breakfast herself, eating the same thing repeatedly was becoming tiresome.

The dishes they made on the first day had surprised her at first, but after eating them too often, she realized the problem.

They only knew how to make a few things.

Sora decided to wake up early tomorrow to make breakfast herself.

Not for any other reason, but because she wanted to eat something different.

After finishing breakfast, she headed towards the tribe.

She had been busy taking care of her growing belly the past couple of days and had neglected some matters.

Now that she had some free time, she felt it was important to have a good talk with Martin to avoid any future complications.

As soon as she arrived at the tribe square, she noticed many people were looking at her, their eyes filled with a hint of amusement, leaving Sora confused.

It wasn’t until some people started greeting her and offering their congratulations that she realized the news of her pregnancy had spread throughout the tribe.

"Sora, you’re having a little one. Congratulations!"

"Your beast husband is so handsome. The baby will surely be beautiful."

"Congratulations! I didn’t expect Sora to have a little one so soon."

Faced with these enthusiastic congratulations, Sora could only manage a stiff smile and nod.

Who spread the news so quickly?

"I think this baby must be Ace’s. Every time I see him these days, he’s grinning from ear to ear."

"Really? I think it’s Ryan’s. I’ve seen him fishing every day lately. And fish are great for pregnant females."

"No way. I feel like it’s Lukan’s. He has been asking us how to cook chicken these days. Would he be so invested if it wasn’t his own?"

These discussions weren’t loud, but they still reached Sora’s ears.

She had known that the people in the tribe loved gossip.

The last time she was the center of attention was when Ryan brought her a bikini skirt.

Since then, she had been more cautious, but she hadn’t expected to become the topic of gossip again.

With a stiff smile, Sora quickly walked towards Martin’s house.

On the way, a kind-eyed aunt approached her, looking her up and down before cheerfully saying, "Kaelira, you look good. This baby must be easy to carry."

Sora smiled in response. "Thank you, aunt."

Just as she was about to leave, the aunt pulled her aside, glanced around, and said mysteriously, "Kaelira, don’t go just yet. I want to tell you something."

Hearing this, Sora had to stop, curious about what the aunt wanted to say.

The aunt cleared her throat and said in a low voice, "There are some things your mom hasn’t told you, so she asked me to share a few words with you. Since she entrusted me with this, I’ll speak up."

Sora was looking at her.

Sora was surprised, thinking there must be something important to discuss. She nodded seriously.

"Aunt, please go ahead."

"While you’re pregnant, be mindful of your movements and keep the noise down to avoid hurting the baby."

Sora was stunned, caught off guard by the sudden seriousness of the conversation.

The beast world was indeed bolder than she had imagined. Even while pregnant, they still sought excitement.

Strangely, Sora suddenly recalled the night watch incident from yesterday. She initially thought it was just a simple watch, but now she suspected it was not as innocent as she thought.

Feeling a bit flushed, she fortunately spotted Martin in the distance and quickly interrupted the aunt.

"Aunt, I need to talk to Dad about something. I’ll be going now."

The aunt watched Sora’s retreating figure and shook her head, wondering why she was still so shy even while pregnant.

It was completely normal to have desires during pregnancy.

Sora hurriedly approached Martin, calling out, "Dad, wait. I want to tell you something."

Since Martin saw how smart Sora was, he grew fonder of her. Especially now that she was pregnant, he believed that with the capabilities of those beast husbands, his little grandchild would surely be extraordinary.

With this in mind, he looked at Sora with a grand smile.

"What is it? You need to take care of yourself now that you’re pregnant. Don’t overdo it. Understand?"

Sora was taken aback.

Why was Martin also bringing this up?

She nodded reluctantly and then said to Martin, "I want to talk to Dad about the salt well."

Upon hearing this, Martin’s expression became serious.

"Let us talk inside."

Sora nodded and followed him into the wooden house.

Once inside, she got straight to the point.

"Serena has escaped. We need to keep an eye on the salt well, or she might cause some trouble."

"Don’t worry. Aside from you, your five beast husbands, and those werewolves I carefully selected last time, no one else knows where the salt well is."

"Even so, we should still be cautious. Serena is not simple-minded. She tampered with the salt last time."

Martin nodded.

"I’ll send someone over."

Sora ate dinner at Martin’s place.

She initially wanted to refuse, but Martin insisted she should be careful since she was pregnant and shouldn’t do heavy work.

Listening to Martin’s advice, Sora couldn’t help but smile.

It had only been a few days.

How could she be so delicate?

However, Martin was very determined, and she had no choice but to stay.

To her surprise, Martin had cooked dinner himself, making a dish called beggar’s chicken, and it turned out quite delicious.

Lyra never appeared at the dinner table from beginning to end. Mark wanted to say something several times but ultimately remained silent.

After dinner, Sora took a walk along the Tribe. Now that she was pregnant, she couldn’t do strenuous exercise and could only rely on walking to lose weight appropriately.

Just as she reached a patch of woods on the east side, her body was embraced from behind. His lips were pressed against the back of Sora’s neck.

Sora smelled the familiar scent of soapberries and was about to ask what was wrong.

Lukan’s dense kisses fell from her neck as he said in a hoarse voice, "I’ve already asked people, and they said there’s no problem doing this kind of thing while carrying a cub."

Meanwhile, back at the Wild Kitchen, the others hadn’t seen Sora for a long time and had all started looking for her.

* * * * *

The soil Sora had found before was red, and Serena had spent a long time searching through the various forests of Mount Fengqi according to that color, but she hadn’t found any of that red soil.

The fastest way to solve this problem was to go to the place where Sora had previously taken them to get clay.

However, people from the Wolf Tribe went there frequently; if she went, she would easily be discovered by them.

She had escaped with great difficulty and found a place to stay; she didn’t want to be captured and taken back.

Fortunately, she managed to find a type of soil that could be used for pottery. Although the bowls she made looked a bit coarse on the outside, at least they looked similar to the things she had made in the Wolf Tribe.

It just didn’t work for making large items like water vats, as they would crack. However, it was more than enough to fool these ignorant Black Pig Beastmen.
