Farming in a Parallel World and Becoming a God

Chapter 2799: Chapter 1198: Development Dividends (3)
But the Dragon Oak Acorn Tree matures slowly; just blooming and bearing fruit takes ten years, and once planted, it is difficult to move again.
The mushroom people are different. They are a race capable of continuous propagation and growth.
As a naturally gentle farming race, they easily integrate into forest life, especially in those newly purified decayed lands, which are fertile ground for mushrooms to develop and grow.
A bird leaves a sound as it passes, the wind leaves a trace as it blows.
Only by leaving behind a race that belongs to one’s faith can the Dragon Oak Mother Tree’s influence take root and sprout there.
This is something the Dragon Oak Acorn Tree cannot achieve.
Their roles can be perfectly combined; the Dream Mushroom People, as the guardian species of the Dragon Oak Acorn Tree, would be even more effective.
This matter is currently in theoretical speculation; to see practical results, even if the Dragon Oak Mother Tree uses life force selflessly to accelerate growth, it would still take several years.
The life force of the Dragon Oak Mother Tree might shorten their physical growth cycle through nurturing, but it provides little help for soul growth; it can only diminish the time, not directly surpass it.
Death is even easier to understand.
Although the mushroom people have their racial deity, Master of Mushroom People, Pslorofil, much like all gods of the race, they prioritize the reproduction and thriving of their race over faith.
If faith could make their race expand in numbers several times faster, they would willingly surrender it.
Lord Virginia’s relationship with the mushroom people falls under this scenario.
Even if she intercepts the Mushroom People’s soul consciousness on a large scale through the Dragon Oak Dream Realm, turning them into permanent residents, Master of Mushroom People would generally acquiesce and not interfere.
This method is gladly accepted by the mushroom people, and it holds great significance for the Dragon Oak Dream Realm. If it has enough permanent soul consciousness dwelling there, it grows stronger, even becoming a realm unto itself.
Growth is integrated into the faith system.
Given that the Mushroom Man King’s strength originates from Consciousness Melding Dreams, if Lord Virginia manipulates the Dragon Oak Dream Realm to gather more power on a particular Mushroom Man King, could it further stimulate his growth into a true Mushroom Man King, or even a Mushroom-man Emperor?
However, this point is not something Lord Virginia rushes to attempt.
Because the timing is not right.
This timing is not about the mushroom people but about herself.
She is not yet ready to integrate the Dream Divine Spark into her body, becoming the Dream God.
To become a god means possessing not only power but also obligations and enemies, especially for faith gods.
Once Lord Virginia integrates the Dream Spark Divine Nature within herself, she will surely radiate brilliant light in the turbid Dream World, akin to lighting a torch in the darkness, attracting innumerable Dream World native creatures, like moths to a flame.
The Nightmare Demiplane is just one of them; lurking within the fragmented Dream World are more unknown, indescribable existences.
With so many potentials still untapped, there’s no need to rush ascension.
From here, it’s evident that Gaven’s extraordinary Road Clergy is not merely constructing roads but also opening economic belts.
During the construction process, a large amount of manpower and resources are mobilized, which is itself part of economic circulation.
The completed road is far more than just connecting two or three points in a line.
Villages and towns along the way will be revitalized and become part of this economic belt.
If there are no villages or towns, Lord Zalanda naturally would not let suitable human dwelling areas go unexploited, either establishing military towns and forts or setting up settlements to carry out pioneering development.
This is a subtle form of territorial expansion, increasing actual control and attracting countless landless knights to pledge allegiance.
The Knight Feudal System is the foundation upon which the Tesser Kingdom was established.
Originally, it was through the advanced social system of shared interests between king and ministers that Tesser Kingdom dealt a fatal blow to the Shoon Dynasty, leading the Slave Empire, which occupied nearly a quarter of Felen, to disintegrate.
For the past millennium, this region has been regarded as the development model of the Kingdom of Humanity, dubbed with the epithets Northern Komeer and South Thacel.
However, with centuries of reproduction, the population of Tesser Kingdom increased, knights multiplied, yet the kingdom’s territorial size saw little change.
The knights’ class, once the backbone of the kingdom, became the greatest source of upheaval.
This is the fundamental reason for the internal chaos within the Tesser Kingdom.
But the internecine warlords’ struggles are mere stopgaps, as they still couldn’t expand territory or spread out those knights eager to establish merit and gain their own land.
It wasn’t until Gaven emerged prominently, creating a Conqueror Army, that there was an outlet for this energy.
Those landless knights of Tesser educated well from an early age are the core strength of the Conqueror Army; even the formidable Lady Strategy couldn’t possibly train illiterate farmers into strategic priests in a short time.
The existing knight class was the best candidates for transformation.
Lady Strategy deliberately chose Tesser Kingdom as the domain for emerging during The Year of Upheaval, not by whim but through careful selection.
Those landless knights are now enjoying the fruits of development; as long as their ability isn’t overly deficient, most have already become part of the ruling class in Battle Valley, owning their territories, leading immigrants to showcase their talent and aspirations in building new homes.
Long ago, Gaven understood a fundamental principle: the system that fits current development needs is the best system.
Without a mass foundation, pursuing proletarian revolution.
Without capital accumulation, pursuing private economy.
These belong to mindless behavior.
Given Felen’s current environment, the Knight Feudal System is the most advanced and suitable system for present times, capable of actively advancing societal development.
In most regions, humans live in urban islands, utilizing less than one-tenth of the land, countless opportunities for establishing merits and careers exist, with plenty of land available for allocation.
Those knights newly granted their lands and rights are thoroughly motivated, while not necessarily loving the people like their children, they at least treat their governed territories as their development projects.
Policies beneficial to their territorial development are generally carried out thoroughly and effectively.
This is the greatest benefit of a new administration and regime.
Many things require exploring as they advance, but there is no existing hindrance.
These landless knights enjoying the fruits of development will have relatives and friends within Tesser Kingdom, inevitably corresponding, boasting about their achievements in letters, a perfectly natural behavior.
Gaven and Zalanda’s reputations will naturally take root in the hearts of many.
To go to the Valley and seek Gaven’s patronage, for ordinary landless knights, the sunk cost seems too high.
But to go to Darama City and rely on Zalanda would significantly reduce the risks.
They, in turn, become the foundation on which Zalanda expands his territories.
This also counts as another form of cooperative success.
