Chapter 2738: Chapter 1178: Gaven’s Daughters (Part 2)

Someone was teasing the babies at the cradle, and whenever one laughed, the other two followed with giggles.

This person had goat legs and wore a wreath of oak leaves and golden acorns; she was Cialia, the Half-sheep Goddess who had aided Zalanda in childbirth.

She seemed to have overheard the previous conversation between Gaven and Zalanda, and responded with a smile: "For newborns of ordinary people, whether it’s triplets or singletons, they usually wouldn’t laugh. But if they carry the divine blessing of the Gods, and are daughters of demigods, it’s another story entirely."

"Divine blessing? Daughters of demigods?" Gaven couldn’t help but wonder, "I became a demigod only after Zalanda became pregnant with them; can they benefit from that?"

"Your understanding of the presence of Divine Power is rather narrow!" Cialia exclaimed in surprise, "The presence of divine power isn’t determined by the flesh, but by the soul and faith.

They are your children, and whether born before or after you became a god, they are still daughters of a demigod. People will respect them for the divine lineage flowing in their veins, and the effect of this identity will endlessly enhance as your divine power grows."

"I see, I’ve learned so much." Gaven quickly grasped the concept.

Ultimately, it’s still about faith.

In a situation of loving the house and its crow, others might extend their affection to your offspring, which is the origin of these God’s Second Generation, God’s Third Generation.

Gaven’s gaze fell once more on the three little ones; they didn’t appear as newborns at all, their cheeks were fair and tender, with chubby baby fat, their bright, round eyes darting around, seemingly curious about everything.

As Gaven drew nearer, they instinctively focused their gazes on him, struggling to reach out their small hands, waving them as if gesturing for a hug.

Beside him, Cialia asked, "Would you like to hold them?"

"Can I?"

"Of course, they are not as delicate as you imagine." Cialia directly lifted the baby girl on the left, handing her to Gaven.

Gaven suddenly found himself in a flurry, trying to make his movements as cautious and gentle as possible, afraid his uncontrolled strength might harm her. The little one in his arms was tender and soft, like she would melt with any pressure.

"Don’t cradle," Cialia corrected beside him, "hold her, bring her into your embrace."

Saying this, she picked up another baby, demonstrating for Gaven.

"Wah..." The last baby girl pouted and began to cry loudly.

"What’s wrong?" Gaven felt more flustered, wanting to put down the one in his arms and hold another.

The baby girl who had been giggling at him cried right after touching the cradle, but immediately stopped crying when picked up again.

"Already competing for attention at birth; you will be busy later." Cialia expressed routinely, giving the baby in her hands to Zalanda and lifting the last one, who then instantaneously stopped crying.

Gaven expressed gratitude, "Thankfully, we have Ms. Zalanda here to help us, otherwise we would be overwhelmed. There’s so much we need to learn from you."

"It is your own reluctance that has thrown you off balance; taking care of them is not as challenging as you imagine." Cialia seemed much more relaxed, "Once you become familiar with it after a couple of days, you’ll be fine."

"Wah..." The baby in Zalanda’s arms began to cry again.

As if contagious, the other two followed suit with their cries.

"What’s the matter now?"

"They’re hungry," Cialia answered, "These are not ordinary children, and ordinary breast milk is hard to fulfill their needs. It would be best for Ms. Zalanda to nurse them herself."

"Alright." With great ease, Zalanda undid her dress in front of them, attempting to nurse.

Although she was a novice and somewhat clumsy, the baby in her arms was not an ordinary newborn, and she easily managed to nurse successfully.

The only slight trouble was there were three infants, and she could, at most, nurse two at a time, leaving one unfulfilled.

Fortunately, Lady of the Forest was present, who, right before Gaven, lifted her own dress, beginning to nurse without any sign of shyness.

As a Nursing Goddess, she possessed milk perpetually, even though she had never given birth.

Cialia acted naturally, while Gaven felt slightly uncomfortable, proactively saying: "The Winter Banquet over there hasn’t ended yet; I’ll return to notify them, so the guests don’t become disorderly."

"Alright, you go first, and I’ll follow." Zalanda replied.

...

When Gaven returned to the Winter Banquet, there hadn’t been much chaos; most people were still chatting and celebrating, ignorant of the fact that one of Felen’s mightiest Giant Dragons nearly descended here not long before.

Only a few, like Crowned Valantino, could discern the dragon’s identity through the dragon’s Hou.

Gaven noiselessly returned to his seat, with only a few noticing him, while most remained oblivious.

Crowned Valantino was unable to resist inquiring immediately: "Was it really Sharptooth?"

"Indeed, it was her." Without withholding, Gaven disclosed truthfully, "But rest assured, I’ve just reached an agreement with her; she won’t disturb the territories related to Lord Zalanda. Even the Moss Stone City and Ruitawen City aligning with Lord Zalanda have her consent."

"That’s good!" Everyone present clearly breathed a sigh of relief.
