Chapter 2700: Chapter 1165: Renowned Far and Wide (Part 3)

"Mother Earth’s Blessing! Earth Bear!" Even the ordinary Druids were astonished, let alone Great Druid Melvin who couldn’t help but exclaim.

As a devout follower of nature, he understood the profound significance of the changes in the divine positions of these Natural Gods.

It’s something that could influence the entire world from the top down, but worldly people find it hard to perceive such changes.

Although they primarily revere the Forest Lady Melikai, as the Mother of All, Mother Earth is also intimately connected with them.

"I wonder if we are fortunate enough to attend this gathering?" A neutral voice came from outside.

A man and a woman, two figures glowing with radiance, walked in side by side.

The man shimmered with a golden light; his hair, skin, eyes, and clothing were all of gold, tall but not frail, exuding an aura of nobility in every movement.

The woman, meanwhile, was entirely of red copper color, as if cast from red copper, her appearance beautiful and gentle, smiling even before speaking.

Great Druid Melvin immediately stood up and pointed at the two, saying, "Lord Road Builder, let me introduce to you, this is Crowned Surdaske’s Clan Leader, Valentino from Veldas Forest, and this is his wife, Rachel from Clan Emmanis, and this is..."

"Lord Road Builder needs no introduction, his name has long reached Eternal Gathering Island, even Her Majesty should have heard of it, we came here specifically for him," Crowned Valentino replied stoically.

Gaven had also stood up, smiling and saying, "I was actually just about to visit you, didn’t expect you to arrive at Moss Stone City first!"

There was actually no need for Great Druid Melvin to introduce them; Gaven had already matched them with the intelligence he had gathered.

They were precisely the targeted rulers of Veldas Forest, the second stop of his diplomatic mission.

"Crowned" was a unique term for the Elves, referring to the highest local ruler, which does not equate to king or queen, as that is the exclusive title for the rulers of Eternal Gathering Island, representing the common king of the Elves.

Unexpectedly, they couldn’t wait for him to visit and came to Moss Stone City first.

This also indirectly confirmed his initial speculation—Moss Stone City maintains a close relationship with them; even if there’s no direct governance, they are the closest allies, sharing information and mutual benefits.

Gaven felt that his decision to visit personally was wise; much intelligence is limited by the collectors’ capabilities, and many significant details could easily be overlooked.

The intelligence only informed him that one was a Gold Elf and the other a Wood Elf, but no one told him they were both Dragon Contract Mages, associated with two Giant Dragons.

This was something clearly distinguishable from their appearance.

Gold Elves might have a golden inclination in appearance, but not to such extremes; this was a result of the high harmony with the dragons they contracted with.

This means that in Veldas Forest, there are at least two adult Metallic Giant Dragons maintaining an extremely close relationship with these Elves, allowing them to borrow their strength, and even have the ability to summon them to fight on their behalf.

"With such esteemed guests, we must naturally come out to greet them personally," Rachel responded with a smile.

In her smile, Gaven sensed a feeling of familiarity.

If he guessed correctly, the one contracted with her must be a formidable Red Copper Dragon.

The influence of this contract affects not just appearance and abilities but even aligns personalities with the powerful.

"Since that’s the case, let’s sit down and discuss the future together," Gaven adjusted his plan once more.

This indeed made things more convenient, avoiding the need to repeat the same words twice.

After all, these two local powers have very high similarities, making many suggestions applicable to both.

"Alright." The two Elves agreed with unrestrained promptness.

After reseating, Gaven continued with the previous topic, "Our Winter Banquet is open to all races and individuals who aspire to goodness. Even if you hadn’t brought it up, I was prepared to invite you."

"We will attend as scheduled," Crowned Valentino solemnly promised.

"Then it’s settled," Gaven shifted the subject to the next agenda item, "Additionally, I come representing Lord Zalanda of Darama City, hoping to establish trade relations to deepen trade interactions.

If Crowned can establish a free trade town akin to Moss Stone City on the eastern side of the forest, it would be even better."

He did not attempt to garner local support for Zalanda outright but sought a gradual approach through establishing trade relationships.

"Please allow me to decline this proposal." Although Crowned appeared courteous on the surface, his words were cold and distant, "We in Veldas Forest are self-sufficient, neither needing large-scale trade with outsiders nor willing to involve ourselves in those human political disputes."

Gaven wasn’t surprised by the attitude shown by the other party, as this is a very traditional Elven perspective.

Moreover, there’s a historical legacy involved here.

Veldas Forest is claimed to belong to the Thacel Kingdom by humans, but the Elves living within have never acknowledged this.

The previous rulers of the Thacel Kingdom have always treated this forest with simple brutality—sharp axes, fierce fires, and sharp swords.

However, this was unavoidable, as before large-scale human expansion, the entire Thacel Region was blanketed by forests, with Veldas Forest, Mir Forest, and Xiermingst Forest forming a contiguous whole.

Elves are part of the Everlasting Kind, with individual memories often surpassing the history of an entire human kingdom, let alone collective memories.

They generally mistrust humans of the short-lived races, deeming them an unpredictable race with constantly changing national policies.

Were it not for Gaven’s unique status, it wouldn’t be easy for Zalanda to meet them, for they might very well choose to avoid any meeting.

Prepared for this, Gaven leaned slightly forward, his eyes scanning everyone present with a penetrating gaze, and posed a question that probed their very souls: "Who do you think is currently leading the world?"

Everyone present looked at each other, puzzled as to what relevance Gaven’s question might have with their trade interactions?
