Farming Family's Pocket Dimension: A Charmed Little Lady Comes to Farm
Chapter 246: Young Master Heir’s Wrath
Gu Fei turned to Lan Zhi and said, "After I’m gone, I need you to settle the accounts and refund all the guests for their rooms today."
Lan Zhi, already on the verge of tears, grabbed Gu Fei’s sleeve and shook her head nonstop. She’d been inside that prison once before. ’Is that any place for a person to be?’
Gu Fei smiled at her, gently pulled her sleeve free, and then said to Lian’er, "Once Lan Zhi is finished with the accounts, close up the inn. Go back and tell my father not to worry, and not to do anything drastic. They’re just taking me in for a while. I’ll be fine."
The Chief of the Government Office waved his hand. "Enough of this nonsense! Hurry up and take this girl away!"
Two Government Officials stepped forward, twisted Gu Fei’s arms behind her back, and began pushing her outside.
By now, the area inside and outside the inn was packed with people. Seeing her being brought out, they all hurriedly parted to clear a path.
A neighbor on the street who was in the know muttered, "This inn of Old Huang’s is just cursed. I don’t know what kind of bad luck it’s hit. First Er Laizi stops causing trouble, and now the government office shows up. Sigh, this place is just bad news."
Just as they reached the inn’s entrance, the sound of approaching horse hooves grew louder.
The crowd on the street scattered, and several horses came galloping up.
On the lead horse sat a young nobleman.
This nobleman had sharp brows and piercing eyes. He wore a gleaming golden crown and was draped in a black sable cloak. He was exceptionally handsome, his presence overwhelming.
The horses galloped to the inn’s entrance and halted.
Xiao Yu had been waiting at his estate all morning for Gu Fei to come and beg for his help.
He waited and waited, but she never came. Finally, Stone slapped his forehead. "Young Master Heir, I’ve been thinking. I don’t think Miss Gu actually knows who you are. Besides, even if she did, the gatekeeper wouldn’t necessarily let her in."
Xiao Yu was incredibly irritated. "Why didn’t you think of that earlier? This was your terrible idea in the first place!"
Stone scrambled to make up for it. "I know! Why don’t we head over to Miss Gu’s inn after lunch? Once I reveal your identity to her, she’ll naturally ask you for help."
Xiao Yu snapped at him, "Idiot! Why wait for lunch? Doesn’t the girl run an inn? You think we won’t be able to get food there?"
And so, he had set out on horseback with Stone and Zhuzi.
While still a good distance from the inn, he saw a crowd gathered at the entrance, looking like something had happened. Xiao Yu spurred his horse on, arriving just in time to see Gu Fei being dragged out of the inn by two Government Officials.
When Xiao Yu saw two wretched-looking men with Gu Fei’s arms twisted behind her back, treating her like a common criminal, a firestorm of rage erupted in his chest. Without even waiting to dismount, he raised his horsewhip and lashed out at one of the Government Officials.
The whip caught the Government Official across the face. He let out a pained scream, released Gu Fei, and collapsed to the ground, clutching his face and writhing in pain.
Before the other Government Official could even react, Xiao Yu vaulted off his horse and kicked him squarely in the chest.
As a lifelong martial artist, he put the full force of his rage into that kick. The official took the blow and went flying back several feet before crashing hard onto the ground.
The other Government Officials following behind couldn’t escape Xiao Yu’s wrath either. His horsewhip rained down on them, and they screamed, covering their heads as they scattered like rats.
Gu Fei just stood there, completely dumbfounded.
Young Master Zhou, who was standing by the door, grabbed Sister Dan beside him, his lips trembling with excitement. "The... the Princely Heir!"
The man doing the beating was the Young Master Heir of Prince Qi!
He had seen Xiao Yu from afar a few times. Young Master Zhu had told him that he was the Young Master Heir, and that in Ping’an City, the first thing you had to learn was who you could not afford to offend.
