Chapter 2536: Picking Someone Up

Another rainy day, the drizzle bringing forth the bone-chilling coldness lingering from winter.

Little Shan Shan, with the attending doctor’s consent, boarded the minibus with her family to visit her sister, Xiao Yu, at Fang Ze. Meanwhile, upon the patient’s and family’s request, Xie Wanying and several young doctors agreed to accompany them.

Upon arriving at Fang Ze, there were doctors waiting at the entrance to welcome them.

"Be careful." Passing the other umbrellas to the juniors inside the bus, Cao Yong got ready to help the child alight, his voice carefully reminding them. Simultaneously, he freed his left hand to first hold the little hand of the child.

Grasping her brother’s large hand, Shan Shan securely stepped down the relatively large steps of the bus door.

The brother’s umbrella seemingly covered the skies, shading not just her small head but also the sister behind her. Shan Shan’s little eyes darted around.

As they followed behind to disembark, Xie Wanying expressed: Thank you, Senior.

Thinking to herself, why has the Senior come?

Before reaching a safe spot, Cao Yong kept the umbrella over them, ensuring not a single raindrop touched them. Finally, he protected them as they ascended the steps of the hospital building, safe from the rain.

Another small car drove up later. It seemed, taking advantage of some free time, Liu Huaiyu came to check on the situation with the patients. Before getting out of the car, he saw from a distance the scene of his old friend’s brother standing together with the girl.
