Chapter 2449: Shot Himself in the Foot

Zhang Li listened to the noise inside at the door. When he heard his wife shout those words, he turned around and rushed out of the hospital according to his plan.

The tall, skinny guy with a camera at the door, wearing a reporter’s badge that said Li Huaien, was suddenly pulled by the arm and nearly lost his balance, almost falling to the ground.

"Who are you? Why are you pulling me? I’m going to call the police." Li Huaien tugged at Zhang Li.

"My son was bullied by the people inside. Aren’t you a reporter? Hurry and help me take photos." Zhang Li urgently complained to the reporter.

Oh, a child was bullied in the pediatric hospital? That’s big news. Li Huaien adjusted the camera strap on his shoulder, turned around, and followed the parent running behind to see what was going on.

The two ran wildly down the hallway of the emergency department, and the people along the way couldn’t react at first to what was happening.

The nurse noticed them and shouted, "What are you trying to do?"

The two rushed into the treatment room one after the other.

"Quick, tell me, where did they hit our son?" Zhang Li asked his wife.

Lau Jinyin received this sudden question from her husband and was dumbfounded: when did she ever say that?

Who hit the child? The medical staff present were even more confused.

Lau Jinyin felt embarrassed; what she shouted was asking what the medical staff did to make their son want them instead of his mom.

Li Huaien lowered his head to adjust the focus on his camera, ready to take photos, just waiting for the two parents to bring out evidence of wrongdoing.

News reporters act quickly, aiming to get the first-hand news scoop immediately.

What he was about to photograph next was unlikely to be evidence of child abuse, but rather evidence of someone trying to falsely accuse someone else.

The wife couldn’t provide evidence that someone hit their son. Zhang Li swallowed and glared at his wife: What’s going on? I brought the reporter here, and now you’re telling me nothing happened?

Frightened by her husband’s gaze, Lau Jinyin stammered, "Taotao, he, he won’t let me hold him anymore, I don’t know what’s happening."

The son won’t let his mom hold him? Zhang Li hurriedly went to see his son, fearing the child was threatened or kidnapped.

Zhang Li was worse; he barely held the child. With the child taken care of by his wife, he had no role, except for acting as the commander-in-chief. After all, he had always been the commander-in-chief at home.

Suddenly, this version wasn’t playing out the way he, the commander-in-chief, had envisioned. Zhang Li was red-faced, sweating cold: It’s over; what should I do now? How to get out of this?

Zhang Li turned and shouted angrily at the reporter, "Why are you photographing me? I didn’t invite you to take photos of me!"
