Falsely Accused, I Started Plundering Monster Traits
Chapter 75: Black Dragon Materials
Over the three days he had spent in the hospital, Lin Yan had already gone through the Earth Store more times than he could count.
[Earth Store]
[Available Convergence Records: 2.]
[Goblin Incursion — F-Grade]
[Sacred Incarnation — E-Grade]
No matter how many times he looked at it, he still felt that this rating system was absurd.
The gap between F-Grade and E-Grade was practically heaven and earth.
If something like the Black Dragon could already appear at E-Grade, then what about D-Grade?
Dragons everywhere? Gorak reduced to something worse than a stray dog?
Back to the point, Sacred Incarnation’s exchange list was far more extensive than Goblin Incursion’s. There were longswords, spears, crossbows, armor, all kinds of standard Church equipment, as well as Skills for things like swordsmanship and spear techniques.
Only these were useful to him.
[Black Dragon Scale — 8,000 Contribution Points]
[Black Dragon Essence Blood — 12,000 Contribution Points]
[Sacred Energy Crystal — 1,200 Contribution Points]
[Sacred Barrier Construction Manual — 6,000 Contribution Points]
[Sacred Energy Manipulation Manual — 8,000 Contribution Points]
[Church Records: Faith and Sacred Energy — 4,000 Contribution Points]
[Complete Medical Knowledge of Zeta Valerius — 10,000 Contribution Points]
Besides that, several enemies in this Convergence who were strong enough to qualify had left him with a handful of Authorization Certificates.
[F-Grade Boss Kill confirmed: Red-Robed Heretic.]
[F-Grade Boss Kill confirmed: Nadir.]
[F-Grade Boss Kill confirmed: Sahir.]
[F-Grade Boss Kill confirmed: Archbishop.]
[E-Grade Boss Kill confirmed: Zeta Valerius.]
[F-Grade Authorization Certificate ×4 acquired.]
[E-Grade Authorization Certificate ×1 acquired.]
[Current F-Grade Authorization Certificates: 5.]
[Current E-Grade Authorization Certificates: 1.]
During those days in the hospital, he had already decided what he wanted to exchange for and was just waiting to be discharged.
Lin Yan first exchanged for the Sacred Barrier Construction Manual.
[6,000 Contribution Points consumed.]
[F-Grade Authorization Certificate ×1 consumed.]
[Current Contribution Points: 78,500.]
[Remaining F-Grade Authorization Certificates: 4.]
A thin white booklet appeared in Lin Yan’s hand. Once he chose to use it, the booklet dissolved into motes of light, and the methods for constructing a Sacred Barrier flowed directly into his mind.
A single Sacred Energy Crystal was enough to establish the most basic Sacred Barrier.
Increasing the number of crystals could improve the barrier’s strength, duration, and coverage, and there was no upper limit to how many could be used.
In other words, as long as he had enough Sacred Energy Crystals, even a nuclear blast could theoretically be blocked.
Then Lin Yan saw the explanation below.
To reach the scale and strength of the barrier that had trapped him between two sides back then, he would need roughly a thousand Sacred Energy Crystals.
[Sacred Energy Crystal — 1,200 Contribution Points]
A thousand of them meant at least 1.2 million Contribution Points.
"...Never mind."
Lin Yan switched over and exchanged for a Black Dragon Scale.
[8,000 Contribution Points consumed.]
[Current Contribution Points: 70,500.]
A massive black scale appeared on the floor.
It was nearly seventy centimeters across.
Lin Yan picked up the scale and froze the moment it settled into his hands.
"This light?"
For something nearly seventy centimeters across, it felt like it weighed less than two kilograms. Even more surprising was its thickness: the thickest part was only around one centimeter, it became thinner toward the edges, and it could even bend slightly with a bit of force.
That was getting ridiculous.
He had already seen how strong it was. The Black Dragon had taken fire from the M2 without its scales being easily torn apart, but now that he was holding one himself, he realized that it was not only tough, but also this light and thin.
Lin Yan carried the scale into the kitchen, pulled out a knife, and drove it hard into the surface. The tip immediately skidded aside without leaving so much as a mark; when he used even more force, there was a sharp crack and a small piece of the knife tip chipped off instead.
Light, thin, flexible, and absurdly durable.
This could hardly be more suitable for armor.
Lin Yan pressed the scale against his chest, then held it against his shoulders, arms, and thighs a few times.
Given his current size, covering the main parts of his body while accounting for cutting and overlapping the pieces would take around eight scales.
He had already bought one, so he still needed seven more.
Seven times eight thousand came to fifty-six thousand Contribution Points.
Lin Yan checked his balance.
[Current Contribution Points: 70,500.]
If he bought them all, he would still have fourteen thousand five hundred left.
That actually didn’t seem too bad.
But Lin Yan did not rush to exchange for the remaining seven.
Fifty-six thousand Contribution Points was not a small amount, so at the very least, he needed to make sure this material could actually be processed first.
Lin Yan picked up the new phone Claire had given him and called her.
"You haven’t gone far yet, right?"
"What’s wrong?"
"Come back for a minute. I’ve got some material here, and I want you guys to see if it can be made into armor."
Claire was back less than ten minutes later.
Lin Yan handed her the Black Dragon Scale and briefly explained what he wanted. If the Federation could figure out how to cut and process it, he wanted a full set of armor made to fit his current body.
Then he remembered the other item on the list.
[Black Dragon Essence Blood — 12,000 Contribution Points]
After thinking about it for a moment, Lin Yan exchanged for one portion.
[12,000 Contribution Points consumed.]
[Current Contribution Points: 58,500.]
A sealed container appeared in front of him, holding roughly five hundred milliliters of dark red liquid.
Lin Yan handed that over as well.
"And take this too. See what you can figure out."
Claire looked at the container, then at the scale in her other hand.
"Dragon blood?"
"Yeah."
"What does it do?"
"No idea."
Lin Yan shrugged.
"That’s why I’m giving it to you."
