284 [Bonus chapter] What Great Timing!
Michael clutched the nape of his neck with his hand and felt the dampness the blood caused. He groaned as the sharp pain shot through his neck. His eyes instantly darted towards Bianca, worrying about her safety. He couldn’t afford to pass out before getting her out of that place.
Suddenly, loud footsteps echoed before the door hit the wall with a bang. “Ah, what great timing! Fucking finally,” Michael muttered as Hunter, Eric and Danny barged into the house.
Hunter and Danny charged at Nathan and his friends without wasting another second.
Meanwhile, Eric rushed to Bianca’s side. “Hey, look at me, Captain,” Eric said, patting Bianca’s cheek softly. “She’s drugged,” Michael supplied when Bianca struggled to speak. She was hardly awake. “And what happened to you? Are you hurt?” Eric asked, noticing the blood on Michael’s hand.
Michael turned to show him the injury on his neck. There was a deep cut above his shoulder blades. “I think I’m okay, but my head and neck are hurting,” he admitted. Eric sighed in relief after checking the wound. It wasn’t serious, and His best friend could endure it.
Eric placed one arm around Bianca’s back and the other arm around the bend in her knees before lifting her into his arms. He carried her out and carefully placed her in the front passenger seat. “I’ll be right back, Captain,” Eric said, fastening her seatbelt. “My phone, Nathan has it,” Bianca slurred. Nodding, Eric locked the doors to the car and rushed inside to help Michael.
Nathan grunted, trying to free himself while Danny shoved him onto the couch and climbed on his torso. “You fucking asshole, you dared to lay your filthy hands on my friend,” Danny barked before pounding his fists repeatedly into Nathan’s face. One of Nathan’s companions held Danny in a chokehold from behind, trying to free Nathan. However, Danny didn’t budge and kept striking Nathan.
Another boy took a beer bottle and was about to hit Danny on the head when Eric grabbed his hand and twisted it until he dropped the bottle. He Pulled him only to headbutt him. He jumped a foot high in the air and jammed his knee into the boy’s chest. The latter fell on the floor, rubbing his palm over his chest where it hurt. Eric grabbed him by his shirt collar and punched his face, damaging his nose.
Eric grimaced in disgust, seeing the blood on his hand. Cursing, he landed another punch to the boy’s side and kicked him in the same place. After kicking him in the ribs one more time, he was sure the boy wouldn’t fight back again.
Danny supported his weight on his knees and grabbed the hand which held him in a chokehold. Pulling the boy’s body over his head, he slammed him to the floor. He got off Nathan to kick the boy some more.
Nathan tried to escape when Danny’s attention shifted from him. However, Eric blocked his way.
“Phone,” Eric said nothing more than a single word, but Nathan understood and immediately fished his pockets for Bianca’s phone. Eric snatched the device from his hand and took a step back. Nathan was relieved that Eric didn’t hit him, but he thought a bit early because, in the next second, Eric lifted his foot, thrusting it into Nathan’s chest with full force, sending him to the floor.
Eric crouched down to look Nathan in the eyes. Nathan’s already scared eyes widened in fright after seeing the fury burning fury in Eric’s eyes. “This is your last chance. One more mistake, and you won’t survive,” Eric warned and kicked him in the crotch. He smiled in satisfaction when Nathan cried in agony.
Meanwhile, Hunter and Danny were fighting the remaining four boys.
Two of them held Hunter’s hands and pushed him against the wall, holding him captive while the third one was ready to kick him in the stomach.
Hunter turned to his left and headbutted the boy, freeing his hand. He pulled the other one to his front and jammed his knee into the boy’s ribs. Extending his one leg with the other tucked, Hunter hit the third one with a perfect backflip kick. He quickly noted that four of Nathan’s friends had passed out, and only two remained.
Another boy punched Danny in the abdomen and pushed him hard. Danny collided with Hunter, and both of them fell to the floor.
The two best friends shared a look, a smirk lifting the corner of their lips. In the next moment, both of them placed their hands on either side of their heads and supported their body weight on their backs before kicking their legs straight up in the air and in one swift kip-up move, they jumped to a standing position smoothly.
Swinging their legs sideways in a circular motion, Hunter and Danny kicked their opponents’ sides in perfect harmony. Then they jumped high in the air to hit their faces with a well-practised flying side kick and knocked them to the floor.
The two boys coughed blood and gave up, lying half-conscious on the floor.
“Mike, you okay,” Eric asked, helping him stand up. “I lost my baby somewhere here. Find it for me,” Michael pleaded. He was referring to his switchblade. Eric rolled his eyes but proceeded to find his blade anyway, and that was when he saw Hunter. One boy was still trying to fight Hunter while Danny watched in amusement. Hunter had grabbed a piece of glass from one of the broken beer bottles near him and was about to slit the boy’s neck.
“ACE,” Eric yelled his name, stopping Hunter from slicing the boy’s throat.
Hunter looked at Eric, who glared at him in disapproval and shook his head. Hunter scowled, displeased that Eric wouldn’t let him kill the boy. He was still contemplating when Eric spoke again. “Bianca needs help, and Mike is injured. I think he has a concussion,” Eric said, and that did the trick. Hunter didn’t kill him, but he jammed the glass piece into the boy’s thigh and rushed to check on Michael.
“Dumbass, how did you get hurt,” Hunter scolded, searching for the wound on his head. He cursed when he saw the blood. Michael chuckled as Hunter frowned in worry. “I’m fine, bro. That smartass tricked you by diverting your attention,” he said, laughing. Sighing, Hunter glanced at Eric before letting out airy laughter.
“Danny, Mike dropped his switchblade. Find it,” Eric said while going through the digital cameras Nathan and his friends used. He didn’t find any pictures of Bianca in them. He still erased the memory by deleting everything.
“Let’s go,” Eric commanded after Danny found the blade.
Danny and Eric supported Michael’s weight on their shoulders and helped him walk to the door. Hunter turned to look at Nathan writhing in pain on the floor. He rushed at him while Nathan screamed before Hunter could hit him. Eric groaned, throwing a helpless look at his best friend.
Hunter wanted to smash Nathan’s head but settled for the kick instead since Eric wouldn’t be pleased. He delivered a hard kick to his side before marching towards the door.
Danny and Eric climbed on the back seat, helping Michael while Hunter sat behind the wheel.
