Falling For My Alpha Stepsister (GL)
Chapter 213: First Year Wedding Anniversary
Angel had spent the entire day making sure their first wedding anniversary would be something April would remember for the rest of their lives. Baby Lulu was staying with Grandma, giving her parents a rare opportunity to enjoy each other’s company without worrying about feeding schedules, nappy changes, or their little girl repeating every word she heard.
Angel had decided to recreate their first unofficial date, only this time, she wanted everything to be perfect. She had bought a new tuxedo, dressed up for her beautiful wife, and arrived with flowers and April’s favourite chocolate. Seeing her Alpha make so much effort for their special occasion had already put a smile on April’s face before they even left the house.
"Hopefully, Coco Terror isn’t here to eat your chocolate," Angel laughed as she handed over the gift.
April immediately remembered the incident behind the joke. Their orange cat had once managed to get hold of some chocolate, sending Angel into a panic as she rushed to deal with the situation. Neither of them had forgotten the chaos, and the memory made April laugh as she held her gift closer.
"Don’t even remind me of that cat," she replied, shaking her head.
After their private dinner at the restaurant, Angel took April to the cinema, where they settled into their seats with a large container of popcorn between them. It was another attempt to recreate one of their earliest moments together, when sharing popcorn had turned into a ridiculous competition as their hands kept bumping into each other whenever they reached inside.
This time, however, they were no longer two people hiding their feelings behind stolen glances and accidental touches. They were married, and neither needed an excuse to hold the other’s hand.
They shared the popcorn, laughed at the movie, and occasionally whispered comments to each other until Angel’s attention began to wander away from the screen. Her head eventually settled on April’s shoulder, and before long, she had fallen asleep against her Omega wife.
April glanced down at her sleeping Alpha, struggling to contain her smile. Angel looked so comfortable that she seemed completely unaware of the movie still playing or the fact that her wife had stopped watching the screen to admire her instead.
Unable to resist, April took out her phone and captured the adorable moment. She wanted to keep the picture, if only to remind Angel that her grand anniversary plans had ended with her falling asleep halfway through the film.
Afterwards, they walked hand in hand through the streets, enjoying the evening air and their ice creams. Neither felt the need to hurry, and they took their time enjoying the simple pleasure of being together. There were no responsibilities waiting for them and no little girl demanding their attention.
For once, they could simply enjoy being wives celebrating their first year of marriage.
By the time they returned home, April had one last surprise for her Alpha.
Once they had settled onto the living room couch, she revealed the tattoo she had gotten for Angel. It was her first, placed near the edge of her vagina, with Angel’s name accompanied by a little drawing of a dripping peach.
Angel stared at the unexpected gift in amazement before a huge grin spread across her face.
"This is so fucking dope, Bebe!"
April chuckled, clearly pleased with her reaction.
"Yeah, your favourite fruit," she replied. "Only you can see it."
Angel’s smile faded slightly as another thought crossed her mind. She narrowed her eyes, looking at her wife as though she had just discovered a suspicious detail in an otherwise perfect plan.
"And the fucking artist who drew this..." she muttered.
"Hey, look at the positive side!" April interrupted, trying not to laugh. "I have a tattoo now."
Angel turned towards her, still looking as though she couldn’t decide whether to be impressed or jelly.
"Will you be okay if I also get a tattoo on my dragon ball?" she asked.
"I will, as long as it’s not one of those nuns," April answered with a smile.
She leaned against her Alpha and kissed her, enjoying the way Angel’s expression changed as soon as their lips met. Before things could go any further, however, April pulled away and placed a hand against her wife’s chest.
"Wait, wait. Before we get into that, let me show you another gift."
She reached for a scrapbook she had prepared especially for their anniversary and handed it to Angel.
Unlike the gifts they had bought for each other, this one had taken considerable time and effort to create. April had personally designed every page, filling it with memories from their relationship, from the beautiful moments that made her fall in love with Angel to the annoying habits that sometimes made her question her own sanity.
The first page was dedicated to the day they met.
Angel opened the book carefully, her eyes moving across the pages as she took in the memories her wife had preserved. Each one reminded her of how far they had come. Some brought a smile to her face, others made her laugh, while a few reminded her just how deeply April had become a part of her life.
She loved the scrapbook more than she could explain, and for once, Angel seemed almost lost for words.
"I love you more," she finally said, looking up at April with genuine affection.
Then she reached for her own gift and handed her wife a necklace.
"It’s a photo projection necklace," Angel explained. "It has pictures of the two of us inside, and I bought one for myself too, so we can both have one."
April examined it with growing excitement, her smile widening as she realised what Angel had chosen for her. The thought of carrying pictures of them together wherever she went made the gift even more special.
"I’m going to cherish this forever. I love it."
Angel moved closer and carefully fastened the necklace around April’s neck. Once she had finished, April helped her put on the matching one, and they admired their gifts, both pleased to have something that would remind them of each other even when they were apart.
After exchanging their presents, they put on some music and moved into each other’s arms.
The living room became their little dance floor as they swayed slowly to the music, holding each other close. April rested her head against Angel’s shoulder, her arms wrapped around her Alpha as they moved together.
"I love us, Mrs Del Rosario," April whispered.
Angel tightened her embrace, resting her cheek against April’s hair.
"I’m glad we found each other. You are my safe place, Mrs January Del Rosario."
They continued dancing, letting the music carry them through the quiet evening. Their first year of marriage had given them countless memories, laughter, and moments they would never forget. As April held her Alpha close, she couldn’t imagine celebrating their special day with anyone else.
Later, they made their way to the kitchen to retrieve the last piece of their wedding cake, which had been carefully wrapped and stored in the fridge since their wedding a year earlier.
They had saved it for this occasion, wanting to share one final piece of the day that had brought them together as wives.
Sitting close on the couch, Angel and April fed each other the cake, savouring the last sweet reminder of their wedding day.
And as the night drew to a close, Angel finally got to enjoy her favourite fruit in the whole world, with her beautiful wife more than happy to serve it to her.
