Fairy, Don't Be Afraid, I Am Blind
Chapter 666 - 315: Don’t Be Afraid, Sister-in-law, I’m Blind
"But there’s no mention of those two words in the letter or the poem. I just wanted to communicate with Miss Xueruo, is that not allowed?" You Su shrugged.
Ji Xueruo gritted her teeth, feeling that this blind man was truly annoying. Time and again, it was he who initiated things, but now he’s pretending to be aloof, making it seem as if she’s the one imagining everything.
Unable to contain her anger, she ordered, "Don’t call me Miss Xueruo!"
"Then what should I call you?" You Su quickly asked, "Just Xueruo?"
"Call me elder sister-in-law!" The girl puffed her cheeks in anger.
You Su’s expression changed, "I won’t call you that."
"What? You’ve already cooked rice with Lingruo and now you’re ready to act like you don’t know us?" Ji Xueruo crossed her arms, secretly thinking that it’s finally time to retaliate.
"Of course, I won’t."
"Ha, then you’re my brother-in-law, isn’t it only right to call me elder sister? I haven’t even complained that you’re calling me old, but you’re the one refusing?"
You Su had his reasons for not calling her that. ’Miss Xueruo’ was a name used when they faced difficulties together, and it held sentimental value for him. Calling her ’elder sister’ would constantly remind Miss Xueruo that he’s her brother-in-law, which would undoubtedly make her more aware of their forbidden relationship.
"My junior sister and I aren’t married yet, it’s too early to call you that."
"Nonsense, I think someone’s feeling guilty, that’s why they won’t call me that. If you don’t, I’ll leave right away."
Ji Xueruo’s lips curled in triumph over her victory.
Yet, You Su had an idea, he started winking and acting embarrassed:
"Does Miss Xueruo really want to hear me call you that? Then I won’t hold back..."
Won’t hold back?
Ji Xueruo glanced at the boy’s secretly joyful expression, suddenly feeling uneasy.
She meant to humiliate him, why does he look so happy... Could it be that calling ’elder sister’ excites him even more?
Ji Xueruo had heard of some men’s disgusting habits, and she suddenly shuddered, having encountered the true nature of this blind man passively for over half a year:
"Shut your mouth! I haven’t even approved of him marrying Lingruo, you’re not allowed to call me that!"
You Su looked disappointed, seemingly regretting, "Calling elder sister feels quite familiar though... By the way, Miss Xueruo, did my junior sister arrive on the island?"
Ji Xueruo shrank her body, trying to make space for more breath, pursed her lips and said:
"She wasn’t invited, but I think it’s probably because she’s still in seclusion trying to break through."
"Junior sister hasn’t succeeded yet?" You Su was a bit surprised, "It’s been too long..."
The higher the realm, the more difficult the breakthrough, and the longer it takes. A breakthrough to the Void Realm can take decades, but for the Condensed Water Realm, it usually takes no more than ten days. But Ji Lingruo had been showing signs of breaking through for nearly two months without success, which was indeed peculiar.
"It has been quite a while... But the clan elders say she’s likely undergoing some transformation. After all, her condition is constantly improving, so there’s no need to worry."
Though Ji Xueruo said so, she was still worried.
If it weren’t for her smoothly breaking through to the Condensed Water Realm with the help of a mysterious Top-Grade Demon Elixir, she would’ve suspected if You Su’s demon pill reconstructed in her sister’s belly was the cause.
Hearing this, You Su could only nod, as there seemed to be no better solution besides waiting.
For a moment, the two fell silent.
"Hey, turn around." Ji Xueruo suddenly said.
You Su, confused, asked, "Why?"
"Your clothes are shredded to pieces, change over there. We’ve been in this cave for more than a day, unaware of what’s happening outside. Let’s rest a while more, then go out to check."
"No need to rush... It’s not too late to go out after resting well," You Su hesitated, though he was confident in his own body, he was worried about Ji Xueruo.
"The opportunity awaits no one, if you don’t want it, stay here and rest, I’ll go out searching myself," Ji Xueruo impatiently said.
Of course, You Su wouldn’t let his newly met wife run off alone, thinking of this, he suddenly smiled gleefully.
"What are you laughing at?" Ji Xueruo found the boy’s radiant smile indicated no good intentions.
"I’m laughing because several people sought alliances with me, and I rejected them all. Yet upon meeting Miss Xueruo, without even a word, we’ve formed an automatic alliance. The natural feeling of it is truly wonderful, hence I laugh."
You Su’s foolish demeanor made Ji Xueruo unable to criticize harshly, she touched her slightly warm cheeks, annoyed by their inexplicable natural chemistry.
"With fish and dragons mixed together on this island, it’s safer to form alliances, given we are family..."
The girl rarely spoke softly, but seeing You Su’s unabashed movement of preparing to take off his pants, her face changed in an instant:
"What are you doing?!"
"Aren’t we family?" You Su was adept at taking liberties.
"I’m the elder sister, and you’re the brother-in-law!" Ji Xueruo was furious, "Change somewhere else! Don’t block my view!"
You Su scratched his head and had to obediently follow orders.
Seeing the boy truly moved to the corner, turning his back, Ji Xueruo finally breathed a sigh of relief. If possible, she certainly wanted to avoid being alone in a cave with him, but with dangers everywhere, finding a safe shelter was already rare.
Sending You Su away wasn’t entirely to remind him to change clothes; in fact, the scale armor was truly cumbersome, and to recover quickly, she had to take it off first.
To cover up her own changing, Ji Xueruo deliberately waited until You Su started before loosening the ties of her upper skirt.
The rustling sounds arose, and the scale armor slid off like a tide, leaving only the luxurious black dress with an open neckline, from which an ambiguous dark fragrance continuously emitted.
Ji Xueruo suddenly gasped lightly, realizing her upper body had multiple injuries, with several abrupt bruises on her tender skin, perhaps left during fights with Ming Dao’s four flunkies. Being tense for so long made her forget about them. Once released from the constraints, the pains became evident.
She took out a pill to consume, then fetched a bottle of topical solution, cautiously glancing at You Su in the distance.
Seeing You Su honestly facing the wall, continuing to dress, she felt relieved to pull her collar wider, one hand embracing herself while applying the cold solution onto her delicate skin.
She might be the distinguished leader of a clan, but she’s not a princess pampered since childhood. Handling such injuries was second nature, yet witnessing the various bruises made her feel a bit sorry for herself.
After finishing, she gathered her collar tight, feeling much more at ease.
Realizing You Su was still there, she quickly turned to look, only to find the boy’s face unexpectedly close—
