Chapter 360: Improvements in the Plans

"...I think this looks fine, doesn't seem indecent, right?" I adjust my clothes as I head to the room where my daughter is.

"No Evelyn, it's good enough as it is, you didn't need to spend almost two hours just fixing your outfit..." Esther walks in alongside me as we enter the room where she is. I see Saluvia holding Kali in her lap while Kali cries and pushes her away, not wanting to be in her arms.

"Kali, I'm back." I call out to Kali, who immediately looks at me. She stretches her little hands toward me, her expression brightening. I glance at Esther's look of disgust and ignore it, walking over to them.

"Give her to me. Did she behave?" Saluvia hands my daughter over as I take her. Kali instantly calms down, hugging my chest while I rock her a little.

"Yes, though she cried quite a lot and kept trying to push me away the entire time I held her in my arms—" I give Saluvia a smile as she answers me, but Esther cuts her off.

"Saluvia, it's time for Evelyn's medicine. Go get it." Esther tells Saluvia to leave, and Saluvia's eyes drift to my stomach. Her eyes narrow with suspicion, and then she looks at Esther.

"You shouldn't be placing objects inside the uterus of your wife who recently gave birth. I don't know what it is, but it takes up too much space, and it could interfere with Evelyn's comfort and physical well-being having that inside her for long periods." When Saluvia says that, I turn red with embarrassment. I can't believe she noticed just by looking.

"And you shouldn't be offering opinions about our private sex life. Leave now before I make you want to leave this room. Besides, Evelyn's physical health is perfectly fine. A puppet like you shouldn't worry that a sphere inside her will make her unwell." Esther speaks in a cold tone, making her leave with a murmur of disagreement.

"Esther, don't be so harsh. You'll scare Kali if you keep speaking with so much... how should I put it... bad feelings. That's it. I bet babies can sense bad feelings in your voice!" I tell her while Kali sniffs me, probably smelling the milk that Esther forgot to remove from me with magic.

"Look at her little face, she looks offended by you." I say, turning Kali toward Esther. Kali seems very uncomfortable with it, so I turn her back toward my chest.

"..." Esther stays quiet while Kali tries to pull at my clothes. I help her free my breast and let her suckle, and I end up letting out a little moan because I'm still sensitive from everything Esther did to my breasts.

'She seems angry...' Hearing my moan, Esther looks ready to commit crimes against my daughter, but I shoot her a warning look to keep her distance.

While Kali drinks my milk, I sit down in a chair, and Esther drags another chair close, placing it in front of me.

"Esther, my army has gotten close to the angel realm. We'll soon begin the attack on the angel realm, so I'll need to focus entirely on that. I ask that you please be gentle with me and with Kali." I try to change the subject, steering her toward work matters. She barely let me explore the castle before, even though she hasn't exactly punished me.

'I bet she'll chain me to the bed in our room later... I should enjoy myself while I can...' I let several small spy puppets slip out and move around the castle to explore everything. Esther seems to notice but says nothing.

"Also, get ready to give orders. After all, I'll always do only what you want. I would love to have you there to fight the queen of the angels... Shizuka lacks experience, but either way we'll have to get through the angel army first, so I think she can gain experience in that..." I say to Esther, who stops staring at Kali.

"You're right. That is important. The humans have already served their purpose with the ships. Fighting now is up to us alone. I'll tell you the best way to handle your army... but Evelyn, do you think that new puppet will win? Do you believe that?" Esther speaks, worried about me and not about the victory itself. You can feel it in the tone of her voice and the way she looks at me.

But fortunately, I'm cautious. Obviously I'm not going to leave everything in Shizuka's hands. The truth is, I'm not confident that Shizuka will defeat the queen of the angels. However, as long as the queen of the angels is weakened enough, I can fight her myself using Esther's puppet and [Infinity +1] to finish her off in a single decisive strike.
