Chapter 520: Chapter 511: Time to Come Out of Seclusion

Suddenly, after Dilaka slashed out with his sword, two figures stepped out of the void. One of them was a red-haired old man with a dark green skull talisman on his left cheek. He was hunched over, wearing a coarse, grayish-white robe, and holding a staff inlaid with a White Jade Toad at its tip. He stood atop a giant toad, a playful look on his face.

Behind him followed a slender woman who was rather beautiful, though her face was veiled by a layer of black qi. The woman paid no attention to Dilaka, who held his sword before him. Instead, her lovely eyes were fixed on the pillar of light filled with Ancient Will, a sharp glint flashing within them!

"Oh? Toad Child?" Dilaka sounded slightly surprised. He then clasped his hands behind his back, letting his Golden Sword hang in the sky. He smiled and said, "It seems there are quite a few people of decent strength mixed in this crowd. As for the other two, since you’re already here, why hide? That hardly befits your status."

"Heh heh heh... It seems your strength has improved considerably in the hundred years we haven’t met. You were even able to detect me."

As Dilaka finished speaking, a white-faced child suddenly popped out of the void. The child had two small ponytails, rosy lips, and white teeth, with a vermilion mole between his brows. In his hand, he held a black lotus. The flower’s petals and stem were a pure black, but its center was a pure white, from which a dark and chilling light emanated.

"There’s another one who doesn’t seem to want to come out. Fine, I’ll help you drag him out."

With that, the White-faced Child grinned, revealing a set of pearly white teeth. His innocent-looking eyes slowly closed as he lifted the Black Lotus high with both hands. A vast, black Primordial Power erupted from the child, instantly spreading out to encompass a thousand-meter radius.

As this Primordial Power spread, it blasted countless surrounding Saints away, clearing out an empty area in an instant. The moment this void was formed, the diffused Primordial Power suddenly contracted, converging back toward the Black Lotus.

VMM!!

Vibrating violently, the Black Lotus held aloft by the White-faced Child swelled in an instant after absorbing the massive amount of Primordial Power, expanding by more than a hundredfold in the blink of an eye. A crystalline luster shimmered on its black petals, giving it a strange and beautiful appearance!

"Heh heh, enjoy the fragrance of the Black Lotus with its white core. Mysterious Charm!"

With a soft cry, countless specks of white, crystalline pollen spewed from the Black Lotus’s core. The speed was like a volcanic eruption, and anyone who witnessed it had no doubt that if they were hit by the blast of pollen, not even their bones would remain! Yet, it was erupting toward an inconspicuous, empty area!

"A petty trick, and you dare act so insolently! Dragon Dominator Spear Technique! Mad Dragon Spike!"

Just then, a man in a white robe stepped out of the air. With a stride and a flick of his right wrist, a silver spear materialized, swirling with an incomparably sharp spiral of Primordial Power. A dragon’s roar instantly echoed out. The Silver Spear trembled violently as a burst of Dragon Qi erupted from it, transforming into a silver dragon that coiled around the spear. As the white-robed man took another step, he turned into a streak of lightning, thrusting forward to meet the pollen blast. The silver lightning and the pollen collided in an instant. Space seemed to freeze, and everyone felt as if the world had come to a standstill.

When space returned to normal, the White-faced Child and the white-robed man stood on opposite sides, a hint of gravity in their eyes.

’This guy... his Spear Technique is so sharp. He broke through my Mysterious Charm so easily. Not only that, but the terrifying piercing power actually sealed off the aura of the Mysterious Charm completely.’

’What a strange attack. A Spiritual Attack? No, it was clearly a physical attack, yet it could bewilder the mind. Thank goodness my Dragon Dominator Spear Technique is firm and domineering, and my will is unyielding. Otherwise, I would have definitely suffered a small loss!’

Clearly, that last exchange was not a true clash but a test so minor it was almost negligible. Yet, this probing exchange had put both of them on high alert, each harboring their own suspicions.

"Hoh hoh hoh..." Suddenly, the old man standing on the giant toad squinted and smiled, looking quite benevolent. "I never expected to see Black Lotus Child and the Dragon Spear King, Sun Yi, here. I wonder if this counts as fate."

The White-faced Child curled his lip at the words and said in his childish voice, "Hah... you old toad seem to be doing well for yourself. Is that your disciple? Not bad. It’s been a hundred years, and you’ve already found a new one. I’m just curious, your strength has already reached the Ninth Ring, so what use do you have for this Ancient Will Beast? Could it be for this disciple of yours?"

Toad Child smiled without answering, retorting, "As I recall, you and Sun Yi are also at the Ninth Ring. So, what are you two here for?"

Black Lotus Child was taken aback by the question and fell silent.

Toad Child laughed. "Since we all know the purpose, why ask the obvious? But you two are quite bold. Aren’t you afraid that fellow Nameless will show up and blast you to bits?"

"Hah... what a joke. Who doesn’t know that Nameless, as One of the Nine Heavens, cannot casually interfere in battles below the Peak of Saint Realm? Holy Tomb Mountain is his territory, true! But as long as we don’t destroy a single blade of grass, he can’t step in to stop us. As for these guys from Holy Tomb Mountain, they’re still too green to keep me here."

"Oh? So it seems you’re determined to fight me for this Ancient Will Magical Beast? What about you, Sun Yi? The same as him?" Toad Child ignored Black Lotus Child and turned to ask the Dragon Spear King, Sun Yi.

Sun Yi put away his spear, clasped his hands behind his back, and spared Toad Child a single glance without uttering a word. He was answering Toad Child with his actions.

"Hoh hoh... In that case, I’ll see for myself just how capable you two really are!"

...

Listening to the three of them bicker, Dilaka simply watched with indifference. He had lived his life in a low-key manner. Aside from a few battles against famous experts in his younger, wandering days, he had spent the rest of his time quietly handling Holy Tomb Mountain’s internal affairs. Although these people knew of his existence, most considered it a rumor. Thus, their understanding of him was superficial. They believed that no matter how strong he was, he was merely an Elder of Holy Tomb Mountain. Little did they know that in Dilaka’s eyes, *they* were the green ones!

"Hey! You up front, obediently make way for me. My only goal is that Ancient Will Magical Beast. If you continue to obstruct me, you’ll have to bear the consequences, you hear?"

Suddenly, a childish voice reached Dilaka’s ears, causing his indifferent expression to waver slightly. That tone... it was truly hard for him to tolerate, no matter how good his self-control was. Before Mu Chen had appeared, he might have watched coldly from the sidelines and let a few Elders handle it. But now, it was time to step out of the shadows...

Shaking his head, Dilaka chuckled. "It seems I’ve indeed been quiet for too long, to the point where just anyone thinks they can act wild on our turf. In that case, I might as well stretch my legs a little."

As he said this, a look of contempt and arrogance that no one had ever seen before appeared on Dilaka’s face. He turned to the people beside him and said, "Everyone from the Holy Punishment Field, return to your posts. Rather than wasting time here, go handle internal matters."

Hearing Dilaka’s order, the Red-robed Envoys of the Holy Punishment Field nodded in unison, turned, and stepped through the spatial barrier, disappearing from outside Holy Tomb Mountain.

’It was a joke. Others might not know who Dilaka was, but they knew very well! In this world, if there was anyone who could truly fight Dilaka, it would have to be one of the Nine Heavens, or else one of the old monsters from the Nine Hidden Families. As for these few people before them, forget Dilaka—even Murong Yan, the gentlest Water Attribute Martial Saint among the Elders, could handle them with ease.’

"Elder Council, leave only Yan’Er here. The rest of you, return to the mountain. There probably won’t be a chance for you to act later. With this time, you’d be better off focusing on your Cultivation. As for these small fries, heh heh... I’ll let them know that Holy Tomb Mountain is not a place where just anyone can come and cause a scene." After speaking, Dilaka grinned, revealing an extremely cruel expression.

"Haha... Old Di is pissed. But he’s not letting us watch. Oh well. Yan’Er, remember to save the footage of Old Di’s fight in a Memory Crystal. It’s been several hundred years since I’ve seen the old guy in action." After seeing Dilaka’s expression, Linghai gave a wicked laugh and spoke to Murong Yan beside him. As he spoke, he turned and, along with Shan Qiuhen and the other members of the Elder Council, vanished into the barrier of Holy Tomb Mountain’s Outer Mountain, leaving behind an excited Murong Yan, her eyes full of anticipation.

"Toad Child... tsk. I seem to recall you came to Holy Tomb Mountain about three hundred years ago, right?" Dilaka fixed his gaze on the toad-riding old man and continued, "And you ended up being heavily wounded in a single blow by the Dean, crawling and scrambling your way out of Holy Tomb Mountain, correct? What’s this? Three hundred years later, you’ve got an itch for another beating, is that it?"

"Dragon Spear King, Sun Yi? Who’s that? Sorry, never heard of you. Scram on your own in a moment, or else face the consequences."

"And as for you, Black Lotus Child, right? A little kid like you should just go home and sleep. Don’t get involved in adult business. Be careful, or I might just beat you till you cry."

These three sentences made Murong Yan, who was standing nearby, burst out laughing with a *pfft*. It wasn’t her fault. In her memory, Dilaka always wore an extremely stern expression, whether he was handling affairs, chatting idly, or interacting with others. It was always the same face.

She had truly never heard him speak with such a tone before, and it was a bit jarring. Besides, the Black Lotus Child across from them was clearly an old monster who was over a thousand years old, yet Dilaka spoke to him like that. How could anyone hold back their laughter?

"You’re courting death!"

Toad Child was the first to overreact. Three hundred years ago, he had suffered the greatest humiliation of his life at Holy Tomb Mountain, which was precisely why he held such a deep-seated grudge against the place! Back then, Nameless was not yet One of the Nine Heavens, but the incident had left a deep scar on his heart! It was a shadow he could never forget for the rest of his life!

But today, three hundred years later, Nameless could no longer make a move against him. He never thought someone would dare to publicly expose that event in front of hundreds, even thousands, of people! This was a blatant slap in the face! And it was a slap in the face right in front of his disciple! How could he endure it?!
