Chapter 511: Chapter 503: Win-Win

Mu Chen froze upon hearing this, his stupor quickly melting into disappointment. Although he didn’t know what kind of being his Master was, the Bloodline Power in his arm alone told him he would never be able to win the favor of a Magical Beast. After all, what Magical Beast would dare to approach someone favored by the Land Beast God?

A bitter laugh escaped him. "So that’s how it is... In that case, it seems it’ll be hard for me to find a Magical Beast partner on this mountain."

Seeing Mu Chen’s expression, the Lightning Armor Dragon King sighed. "Well then. If you don’t mind, accompany me on a trip to my clan. Perhaps I can help you with something."

RUMBLE RUMBLE...

As it spoke, the Lightning Armor Dragon King’s colossal, domineering form turned. As it did, it shot Mu Chen a look filled with expectation.

Seeing their Clan Leader on the move, the dozen or so Lightning Armor Dragons that had been listening from the sidelines turned and followed in his footsteps, heading deeper into Holy Beast Mountain.

Before their immense size, the thorny forests were nothing more than roadside weeds, easily trampled. Mu Chen stared blankly at the tangled brambles blocking his path, a bitter smile on his face. ’They can pass through easily, but what am I supposed to do?’

There was another thing. Ancient records stated that Lightning Armor Dragons were extremely territorial—this was true even for other Magical Beasts, let alone humans. Strangely, the Lightning Armor Dragon King had just invited a complete stranger to its clan’s home. And yet, Mu Chen couldn’t sense a single trace of malice in its tone or demeanor.

’Forget it. I’ll understand once I get there.’

With a flick of his wrist, he once again drew the Red Refining Heavy Sword from his back in the most basic fashion, preparing to carve out a path.

But just as he raised his arm to slash at the thicket of thorns, a massive shadow fell over him from above.

"Human, if you continue on like this, you likely won’t reach the clan within a day."

A young, gentle male voice drifted down from above. Looking up, Mu Chen saw it was the Lightning Armor Dragon King, who had already traveled some distance.

Mu Chen rubbed his nose and gave a wry smile. "As you know, humans aren’t allowed to freely use Primordial Power on Holy Beast Mountain."

The Lightning Armor Dragon King nodded. "In that case, get on."

As it spoke, the Lightning Armor Dragon King lowered its body and extended an immense, silver-armored claw, gesturing for Mu Chen to climb on. Without hesitation, Mu Chen sheathed his Red Refining Heavy Sword and, with a light leap, landed on the king’s claw.

"Hold on tight," the Armor Dragon King reminded him. With a swing of its giant tail, thousands of purple lightning bolts erupted from beneath its feet. Then, with the force of a mighty thunderclap, it shot off in a single direction.

To Mu Chen, this speed seemed to even surpass his own Instantaneous Step! Not only that, but even though he could hear the ground trembling violently from the Lightning Armor Dragon King’s thunderous steps, he felt not the slightest jolt while standing on its claw. It was as steady as a rock!

The scenery blurred past so quickly that he couldn’t commit any of the route to memory. The mad dash lasted for a full ten minutes before they finally stopped, meaning they had arrived at the place the Lightning Armor Dragon King called its clan’s home.

Looking around, Mu Chen found himself in a massive rock valley. It was so named because all four sides were lined with countless stacked stones, arranged with an architectural beauty. Clearly, these were not natural formations; they had been constructed by the Lightning Armor Dragons themselves.

Before him now stood a great, arched gate built from numerous stacked rocks. The Lightning Armor Dragon King gently set Mu Chen down, saying, "Human, what you see now is the Outer Valley of our Lightning Armor Dragon clan."

Mu Chen leaped down from the Lightning Armor Dragon King’s claw. "Outer Valley?" he asked.

The Lightning Armor Dragon King chuckled. "It’s the outermost defense of our clan’s home, not where my people live. The defenses look weak, don’t they? Don’t be fooled by how haphazardly the rocks are stacked, or how they seem so precarious they could collapse at any moment. That is all a visual illusion."

After speaking, the Lightning Armor Dragon King’s gaze suddenly sharpened. The very claw where Mu Chen had just been standing was abruptly wreathed in purple lightning. A sharp, metallic SHIING sound rang out as the middle talon of the king’s claw erupted in silver light. In the blink of an eye, it had extended to more than three times its original length, jutting out from its claw like a razor-sharp blade!

At the same time, the purple lightning shrouding its massive claw rapidly converged on this single talon, forming a cone-shaped lightning drill that bored furiously toward the rock face!

The very air around the Thunder Armor Claw seemed to tear and shred. The full might of a Beast Peak expert, combined with the terrifying Explosive Power of the Thunder Attribute, was completely unleashed upon the stone wall! But then, something happened that left Mu Chen utterly dumbfounded. That piercing force, powerful enough to destroy almost any defense, merely left a small, white mark on the rocks, as if someone had lightly poked the wall with the tip of a sword.

"..." Speechless, Mu Chen couldn’t resist stepping forward to inspect it. As he got closer, he almost cried out at the sheer waste! The rocks used to build the Outer Valley’s defensive walls were all made of an exceedingly rare forging material: Profound Magnet Gold Stone!

In the hands of a master weaponsmith, a tiny piece of this stuff could be forged into a Spiritual Treasure Soldier, even eliminating the need for a Jade Transformation Crystal! To see such a precious material, in such vast quantities, reduced to a mere wall... ’It’s an insult!’

"Haha... Impressive, isn’t it? I discovered this by accident in my early years while leading my clan in search of a new home. At first, they just looked like ordinary rocks. But when one of my clansmen kicked one out of boredom, we found its density was astonishingly high. After many tests, I realized I had found something incredible. Since there was so much of it, I decided to use it to build our clan’s home." The Lightning Armor Dragon King sounded rather proud, completely ignoring the look of profound dismay on Mu Chen’s face.

Now he finally understood why the rocks looked haphazardly stacked yet formed a seamless whole. Profound Magnet Gold Stone could generate a magnetic field when infused with Primordial Power, a force so immense it could fuse them all into one solid entity. Moreover, once connected, its density would increase. The more stones that were linked, the denser the structure became, and the more terrifying its strength grew! And unless one had the power to completely shatter and separate them, they would remain bonded together for all time.

This mountain of treasure had been completely fused into a single mass. Its density was so terrifying that not even the Lightning Armor Dragon King, who was halfway into the Saint Realm, could leave a scratch on it. ’I can’t even secretly chip off a tiny piece for myself.’ That was the source of Mu Chen’s dismay.

"The Eternal Defensive Barrier..."

Mu Chen silently gave the wall a name, mourning the now-unobtainable mountain of Profound Magnet Gold Stone.

"Alright, it’s time to head to the Inner Valley. The children may have woken up by now." The Lightning Armor Dragon King dissipated the lightning on its claw and said to the other Lightning Armor Dragons, "You all take the lake water and return to the children. I’ll be right behind you."

The dozen or so Lightning Armor Dragons nodded. Each one, carrying a massive, bowl-shaped container carved from stone on its back, charged through the gate. They moved so quickly that they vanished from Mu Chen’s sight within a few breaths.

’It was only then that Mu Chen realized that intelligent Magical Beasts weren’t fundamentally so different from humans. They had families, they communicated with one another, and they loved their young.’

"Now, I will walk with you the rest of the way. After all, I am the Clan Leader. If I were to run within our home, my people would whisper behind my back," the Lightning Armor Dragon King said, glancing at Mu Chen and flicking its massive tail.

Mu Chen understood this. ’Among Magical Beasts, Kings and other leaders must maintain a certain level of dignity. Otherwise, they would be seen as lacking leadership and presence. Their people wouldn’t be able to trust such a King.’

But now, Mu Chen finally voiced the question that had been on his mind for a while. "Why did you bring a human to your clan’s home? According to human accounts, the Lightning Armor Dragon clan despises outsiders."

"Oh?" The Lightning Armor Dragon King smiled faintly. "That is true. But are you an outsider? No. Once you possessed the aura of our ancestor, you were already one of our Lightning Armor Dragon clan. Even if you can’t be considered a true clansman, you would at the very least be... hmm, what’s the human term? A guest, I believe."

"So, you are not an outsider. As for why I invited you, the first reason was simply to show you our home. How could someone acknowledged by our ancestor not be familiar with the Lightning Armor Dragon clan? The second reason is to help you... and in turn, to help the children of my clan."

"Help the children? What do you mean?" Mu Chen asked.

The Lightning Armor Dragon King raised its head and looked into the valley, its gaze softening. "If you must know the answer ahead of time, then I will tell you. The ancestral aura you exude... is no ordinary thing. In fact, your bloodline is far too pure—so pure, it’s as if you were our true ancestor. By being in the presence of such an aura, we are subtly influenced, which can improve the purity of our own bloodlines. Of course, for adults like myself, the effect is likely negligible. But for the children of the clan, this influence will make their Postnatal development exceptionally strong. We need your power to create a new generation with limitless potential. And you need a Magical Beast partner to protect you. It is a win-win situation, is it not?"

Hearing the term "win-win," Mu Chen once again marveled at the boundless wisdom of the Magical Beasts on Holy Beast Mountain. In his heart, he was already more than halfway convinced. It was, indeed, a win-win situation. Lightning Armor Dragons were inherently powerful, not just because of their speed, Explosive Power, and Defense Power, but because of a bloodline that allowed them to step into the Saint Realm upon reaching full maturity. ’Isn’t obtaining a powerful Magical Beast partner the entire reason I came here?’
