Chapter 2784 A Bold Design

Lin Feng, feeling curious, jumped off Xiao Jiu’s back and flew towards the direction of the Shilin, followed by Xiao Jiu and Tangyuan.

When he landed on the ground, he was surprised to find that the stones of the Shilin were closely entwined, seemingly forming a maze surrounded by a stone wall. He randomly found an entrance and walked in, but it wasn’t long before he discovered there was no way forward. He then retraced his steps and went to the next entrance, but before long he found himself blocked again.

This situation struck him as very strange. He then flew into the air to look down at the Shilin and was astonished to find that the stones were slowly moving, changing their positions irregularly, so his path was always blocked by stones.

He returned to the entrance and said to Tangyuan and Xiao Jiu, who were waiting outside, "Do you notice anything strange here?"

Tangyuan closed its eyes and then said to Lin Feng, "Boss, I vaguely feel some kind of presence, but my senses are getting all mixed up here, something is definitely interfering with me."

Hearing this made Lin Feng even more puzzled. Reasonably, this Shilin should be naturally formed because they hadn’t seen any humans along the wasteland, but if it were truly natural, it would not be so orderly, nor would it move on its own, which defies common sense and is very peculiar.

Thinking about it, he looked at Xiao Jiu and asked, "What do you think, does anything feel amiss?"

Xiao Jiu said, "Let me think, let me recall."

Lin Feng shook his head and suddenly thought of the Stone Spirit, which should know a lot about stones, and immediately called out the Stone Spirit asking, "I can’t get in, think of a way."

Hearing Lin Feng’s words, the Stone Spirit sensed the surrounding atmosphere, then rushed up into the sky, casting a projection onto a barrier. In the curtain of the sky, a pathway faintly appeared, which was a mapping of the Shilin maze, revealing an escape route displayed on the Stone Spirit.

Seeing this, Lin Feng followed the displayed map on the sky curtain, leading Xiao Jiu and Tangyuan to finally reach the central region of the Shilin, and then asked the Stone Spirit, "Do you know what place this is?"

"I don’t know, Master." The Stone Spirit’s words appeared in Lin Feng’s consciousness.

Looking at the not-so-large central area within the Shilin, Lin Feng was startled to discover there was a hidden Innate Array here. It was called Innate because strong energy was flowing through the array, and it definitely wasn’t artificially set. Within this transparent array floated a circular stone glowing with golden light, only about an inch in size, but it radiated dazzling light with visibly strong energy flowing over it.

"This is..." Lin Feng stood outside the array, observing the stone carefully, really wanting to know what it was. He gently placed his hand on the barrier, and in an instant, a powerful surge of energy struck his body, as if it wanted to sap away his Yuangang. He quickly withdrew his hand from the barrier, dazedly standing at the spot.

He became more curious about what exactly this was, and felt that within the range of the barrier, life force was rapidly depleting. Suddenly, he had an ominous guess: this golden stone was likely an energy body that absorbed Yuan Energy, and the reason there wasn’t any life around was due to this golden stone absorbing it all. No wonder there had been Yuan Spirits previously; their ample Yuan Energy had all been drawn away by this entity.

Looking at the barrier, he thought about how to break it, but he first needed to address how not to let the stone absorb his life. Seeing Xiao Jiu still in a daze, he asked, "Have you figured it out yet?"

"Wait a bit, Boss, I should soon." Xiao Jiu sat on the ground with its little head down, thinking carefully.

Meanwhile, Lin Feng sought a way to break the array, subsequently taking out a Spirit Grass, gently bringing it near the edge of the barrier. In merely an instant, the once-vigorous Spirit Grass withered as if all its vitality were drained, turning to ash.

Lin Feng suddenly found this too terrifying, then asked the Stone Spirit, "Since you are naturally formed between heaven and earth, can you sense what this stone within the array is?"

"I truly don’t know, but I can tell this thing is very terrifying. I can sense the strong aura." The Stone Spirit said to Lin Feng.

Lin Feng thought if the Stone Spirit hadn’t even heard of it, then it must be hiding some secret. He then looked at Tangyuan and said, "You search for something."

Tangyuan spat out a stack of books and started flipping through them, but it still hadn’t found anything useful.

Listening to everyone’s answers, Lin Feng suspected that this thing likely didn’t belong to the Myriad Heavens Divine Realm, but came from another world. While pondering how to break the array, Xiao Jiu spoke up.

"Boss, I’ve remembered!" Xiao Jiu gazed at Lin Feng seriously and said, "This is called Queming Stone, recorded in the Dragon Clan’s inherited memory."

Queming Stone?

Lin Feng found this name very peculiar; the Dragon Clan knows everything about the Myriad Heavens Divine Realm. Although Xiao Jiu’s serious expression made him think the stone’s origin must be significant, so he continued asking, "What is it used for?"

"In my memory, this stone is a scourge, extremely powerful. Ancestors once used it to confront enemies; when the stone appeared, the Yuan Energy over tens of thousands of miles was covered, emitting an invisible force from the stone that destroyed everything around – it’s simply terrifying." Xiao Jiu said, looking at Lin Feng, then continued with doubt, "But I don’t know why this stone appeared here."

Having listened to Xiao Jiu, Lin Feng had some understanding of the stone’s origin but then had a bold idea. The stone Xiao Jiu described was analogous to a nuclear weapon on Earth; once the stone appeared, it would generate a kind of powerful radiation. If possible, he wished to collect this stone, creating a nuke aimed at cultivators that could solve significant problems, whether for the Sect or facing other dangers.

Thinking of this, a preliminary notion formed in his mind; he smiled and glanced at the Queming Stone, heading out of the Shilin.

"Where did the Boss go?" Tangyuan asked Xiao Jiu.

"I don’t know, let’s follow quickly, or we’ll lose our way out," Xiao Jiu replied.

Having exited the Shilin, Lin Feng contemplated his audacious plan. To be honest, he wasn’t entirely confident, but since he dared to think, he needed the courage to try. It was his first time applying Earth’s knowledge in the Myriad Heavens Divine Realm.

He soared skyward, rising to heights over ten thousand feet, then activated a Golden Yuan Gang, channeling the Yuan Energy within tens of thousands of miles toward him, quickly forming a Yuangang Giant Hand with a span of dozens of feet in front of him.

"Boom!"

Lin Feng fiercely slammed the Yuangang Giant Hand to the ground, causing the abundant Yuan Energy around to surge outward rapidly, instantly creating a massive pit with a span of several dozen feet on the ground. The formerly cracked earth became smooth, while the soil turned loose.

Tangyuan and Xiao Jiu were stunned by this scene, unaware of what Lin Feng intended to do.

Once the pit was prepared, Lin Feng transformed the Yuangang into a long strip of Yuangang Giant Hand and began drawing on the sandy ground, constantly recalling the nuclear bomb knowledge he learned on an isolated island on Earth in his mind. The Yuangang Giant Hand waved in the air, its fingers tracing on the ground, instantly raising layers of dust, while the surrounding Yuan Energy poured toward the Golden Yuangang Giant Hand, filling the entire space with golden light.

"Oh my, what is the Boss doing?" Tangyuan watched Lin Feng continuously hovering in the air, drawing on the ground below, unaware of exactly what it was.

Xiao Jiu, equally confused, then said to Tangyuan, "Is it setting up an array?"

It thought Lin Feng might be trying to solve the previous formation dilemma in the Shilin. But Boss had never needed to draw to set up an array, so it, too, felt very bewildered.

Several hours later, the golden light gradually faded, revealing a set of design schematics on the ground that was absolutely ingenious, precisely detailing a series of processes for making a nuclear missile, with every step clearly described. Seeing this grand work, Lin Feng nodded in satisfaction.

He knew this was undoubtedly a challenging process, as the Myriad Heavens Divine Realm was unlike Earth, where many elements couldn’t be found, and there was practically no technology here, making all calculations difficult to be accurate.

Wait... Technology!

Suddenly thinking of technology, Lin Feng was overjoyed, as he had completely forgotten that within the Cave Heaven Mansion, there were Technological Dwarves always helping him construct the Sect’s protective weapons, so he immediately went to the Cave Heaven Mansion.

When Lin Feng found the Technological Dwarves, they were speaking in a language he didn’t understand, discussing something. He approached the Dwarf Clan Leader, Puba, and said, "Clan Leader, are you accustomed here?"

Instantly, the translation device on Puba began to relay Lin Feng’s words, and then the Clan Leader’s words were transmitted back through the device, "Very well, when can we leave?"

Although nothing was lacking here, there was no freedom. Lin Feng had earlier promised them he could supply their basic energy needs and mentioned that if he could, he would find a way back to their homeland. It had been so long, and they were getting anxious.

With a light smile, Lin Feng said, "It won’t be long, this time I came to ask you for a favor."

He initially planned to properly settle them once the Sect was established. He looked around at some incomplete weapons and the repaired machinery, his eyes sparkling, knowing these Technological Dwarves were the only ones who could help him accomplish the missile task.

When Puba heard Lin Feng’s words, he nodded in agreement and took a few of his people along, following Lin Feng out of the Cave Heaven Mansion.
