Extra's Path: The Eternal Frost Monarch

Chapter 383 Growing Obsession For Blood

  • Next Chapter

A chill ran down Tharlyssa’s spine watching him. She froze in air like that.

For a brief moment, she felt as though the person approaching her was no longer the same boy she had been pursuing.

Before she could react, the air around Noah distorted.

More than seventy ice weapons materialized around him, their sharp points directed toward Tharlyssa.

The next instant, they shot forward alongside Noah, tearing through the sky like a silver-blue meteor shower.

Tharlyssa’s expression changed.

Finally recognizing the danger she was facing, she immediately summoned more than seventy blood-red weapons of her own.

Spears, swords, lances, and countless other weapons emerged from the crimson mana surrounding her.

Then, with a wave of her hand, she launched them toward Noah.

It was as though two enormous armies had simultaneously unleashed volleys of arrows at one another.

BOOOOOOMMMM!!!

The sky erupted in a violent collision of silver-blue and crimson light.

Explosions thundered through the air as the ice and blood weapons collided, shattering into countless fragments. Shock waves spread in every direction, distorting the surrounding flames and sending torrents of mana surging across the sky.

BOOM!

Amid the relentless barrage of weapons, two figures closed the distance between them.

Noah and Tharlyssa clashed at close range.

Their blades met with a deafening clang.

CLANG!

A sword forged from blood collided with Noah’s ice sword, sending sparks of red and silver scattering through the air.

Yet something extraordinary happened with every swing of Noah’s blade.

Wherever his sword touched Tharlyssa’s weapon, a layer of frost immediately spread across its surface, attempting to freeze the blood that formed its structure.

Even the air around their clashing blades grew colder.

More astonishingly, Noah’s physical strength seemed almost equal to hers.

Tharlyssa was a blood elf who had already reached the Low Stage of the Mythril Rank. Under normal circumstances, she should have possessed an overwhelming advantage over someone like Noah.

Yet here he was, meeting her attacks head-on.

It was absurd.

Nevertheless, he was holding his own against an opponent who should have been far beyond his reach.

And that was precisely what made the situation so dangerous.

Initially, Tharlyssa had never intended to kill Noah.

She had wanted to capture him, preserve his blood, and enjoy drinking it whenever she pleased. Even when they fought earlier, she had deliberately restrained herself to avoid damaging him too severely.

But now, things had changed.

The boy before her was becoming increasingly dangerous.

With every exchange, his movements grew more confident, and the strange silver-blue energy surrounding his body seemed to intensify.

Tharlyssa’s expression gradually turned serious.

’This won’t do.’

She could no longer afford to treat him as prey.

Noah noticed the change in her eyes.

Before he could figure out what she was planning, Tharlyssa abruptly retreated, creating considerable distance between them.

Noah immediately prepared to pursue her.

However, the moment he moved, five enormous red magic circles suddenly materialized around him.

One above his head. One beneath his feet. And the remaining three positioned around his body.

Each circle was covered in intricate crimson runes, radiating an ominous aura that made the surrounding air tremble.

Noah’s eyes narrowed.

He could feel an immense concentration of blood mana gathering within the circles.

Tharlyssa stood at a distance, her crimson eyes fixed firmly on him.

This time, there was no trace of her previous playfulness.

Her lips parted as she uttered the name of the spell.

[Crimson Execution]

The five crimson magic circles suddenly trembled.

The next instant, countless thin threads of blood shot out from their surfaces. Each thread was razor-sharp, its edges shimmering with a sinister red light as they spread throughout the surrounding air, encircling Noah from every direction.

They resembled an intricate web of crimson strings, each one capable of slicing through flesh and bone.

Then, they converged on their target.

Noah’s pupils contracted.

SHING! SHING! SHING!

Instinctively, he covered his entire body in a thick layer of ice, attempting to protect himself from the incoming attack.

But he was too late. The countless threads sliced through the air, striking him from every direction. Although his ice armor managed to block some of them, the sheer number of attacks overwhelmed his defenses.

CRACK!

His frozen armor shattered in several places as the razor-sharp threads pierced through the gaps, leaving countless cuts across his body.

Blood splattered through the sky, scattering against the silver-blue radiance surrounding him.

Pain burned through his flesh with every new wound. His clothes were torn, and blood trickled down his arms and legs as the merciless threads continued to slice into him.

Multiple thin slashes and cuts ran over his face.

Yet Noah didn’t scream. He didn’t even flinch. His cold, glacier-blue eyes remained firmly locked on Tharlyssa, unwavering and unblinking despite the torment ravaging his body.

It was as though the pain meant nothing to him.

Or perhaps he simply refused to acknowledge it.

The silver-blue aura surrounding his body flickered, while frost continued to spread across his wounds and shattered armor.

Noah gripped his ice sword tightly. He wasn’t going to look away. Not even for a moment.

"So much blood wasted!!!" Tharlyssa screamed in frustration.

Her crimson eyes were fixed on Noah’s bloodied body, watching as fresh blood continued to seep from his countless wounds.

Noah had no idea why she was so obsessed with his blood. Before tasting it, she had at least seemed somewhat less unhinged. But ever since that first taste, something inside her had changed.

Whatever the reason, her obsession had only grown worse.

And right now, she seemed far more concerned about the blood spilling from his body than the fact that he was still standing before her.

Meanwhile, Noah continued pouring his mana into the ice sword beneath his feet, maintaining his form from shattering.

CRACK!

Suddenly, the sword in his hand shattered under the relentless assault of the razor-sharp blood threads.

Ice fragments scattered through the air.

But before Tharlyssa could take advantage of the opening, a deafening roar echoed from below.

ROOOAAARRR!

The frost dragon emerged once again, its enormous body rising through the blazing inferno. Opening its jaws, the creature unleashed a tremendous torrent of frost flames toward Tharlyssa.

Her expression changed.

She immediately abandoned her attack and darted sideways, narrowly avoiding the incoming blast.

The frost flames swept past her, illuminating the sky with a brilliant silver-blue radiance.

However, the moment she evaded the attack, she realized her mistake.

Noah was already there.

He had used the dragon’s assault as a distraction, swiftly maneuvering around her while she focused on avoiding the frost flames.

Now, he stood directly to her left, his cold, unwavering eyes fixed on her.
