"Noah?"

The person holding him called his name, and the familiar voice immediately caught his attention.

"Instructor Morgana?"

She released his wrist, allowing Noah to turn around. The moment he saw her face, his tense expression relaxed slightly.

Her sky-blue hair was neatly tied into a bun, and she wore a violet blouse paired with black trousers. Her amethyst eyes were filled with relief as she looked him over.

"You’re safe." She spoked while looking at him. Her hand moved as her palm touched his cheeks and checking him all, if he was okay or injured.

Noah stared at her for a moment before offering a somewhat awkward smile.

’So she was the one who threw that darkness-covered spear.’

"Yes... I’m safe—"

Twist!

"Ow! Instructor!"

Before Noah could finish his sentence, Morgana grabbed his ear and twisted it mercilessly.

"What do you think you were doing?! Running around alone when the entire city is in danger?"

Her voice rose with every word as she began scolding him.

"What if something had happened to you? Do you think you’re invincible? Haven’t you learned anything from all the dangerous situations you’ve been through?!"

"I’m sorry! I’m sorry! Please, you can scold me later! This really isn’t the time for it!"

Morgana glared at him for a few more seconds before finally releasing his ear.

Noah immediately rubbed it, silently cursing the terrifying strength of his instructor. ’Does she really need to be this rough?’

However, before he could complain, Morgana’s gaze shifted toward the bed. The moment she noticed the two lifeless bodies lying on it, her expression turned serious.

"This..." She stared at the gruesome scene, her brows knitting together. "Who did this?"

"Most likely the Blood Elves," Noah replied. "They seem to be hiding throughout the city and killing anyone they come across."

Morgana’s expression darkened as she studied the blood-soaked room.

"I see..."

She fell silent for a moment before turning back to Noah.

"And who was the person chasing you?"

Noah shook his head.

"I don’t know. I went out to see what was happening in the city. I only intended to look at the World Tree from a distance before returning, but she suddenly appeared in the sky and attacked me."

He paused, recalling the woman’s disturbing behavior.

"She was a Blood Elf, too. She kept trying to drink my blood."

Noah shuddered slightly at the memory.

"She’s also the one who told me that the Blood Elves were responsible for setting the World Tree on fire."

Upon hearing that, Morgana fell into deep thought.

"This is far more serious than I expected," she muttered. "Most of the powerful elves will be focused on the World Tree, doing everything they can to save it. Meanwhile, the ordinary citizens are being hunted throughout the city."

She glanced toward the window, her expression growing increasingly grim.

"Although most of the residents have been evacuated, there are undoubtedly still people trapped outside. And if the Blood Elves have infiltrated the city so thoroughly, we can’t assume that any location is safe."

Morgana let out a weary sigh.

"Regardless, our first priority is to reunite with the other students and instructors. We need to make sure everyone is safe before deciding what to do next."

Noah nodded, but after a brief pause, he glanced in the direction of the World Tree.

"What about the tree?"

Morgana looked at him.

"We can’t do anything about it right now. The elves who are capable of fighting at that level are already dealing with the situation. Our responsibility is to get everyone back safely."

She turned toward the door.

"Come on. We need to leave."

Noah nodded again.

"Okay. Let’s go."

With that, the two of them left the bloodstained house and stepped back into the dangerous streets of Lunathiel.

---

Damien, Ken, and Arisha were found by Instructor Brandon and Elowen shortly after they had finished killing Abigor.

The timing couldn’t have been worse.

They had just risked their lives fighting a demon, only for the instructors to arrive after everything was already over. If not for their exhaustion and injuries, the three of them would have cursed at the ridiculous timing.

Elowen, in particular, was surprised to discover that a demon had appeared in the city. She had never expected to encounter such a creature in the elven capital.

After checking the students’ injuries and confirming that none of them were in immediate danger, Brandon and Elowen escorted them back to the others.

The group eventually arrived at the open space behind the hotel, where the remaining students had gathered with Carmel.

Lyria, who had been anxiously waiting for her friends, immediately spotted Damien and the others approaching.

Her eyes widened when she noticed their injuries.

"Damien!"

She hurried toward them, her expression filled with worry. However, upon reaching them, she first turned to Arisha.

"Are you okay?"

"I’m fine," Arisha assured her. "Check on Ken and Damien instead."

Lyria nodded and quickly turned toward the two injured boys. She knelt beside them and began channeling her healing magic.

Both Ken and Damien sat down on the ground, allowing her to treat their wounds.

Unlike the healing magic commonly used by ordinary mages, Lyria’s spells were considerably more potent and effective. A gentle glow enveloped her hands as her magic seeped into their bodies, gradually mending their injuries and easing their pain.

While Lyria treated them, another person hurried over to Ken.

She was a young elf with blonde hair and a pair of pointed ears. Her name was Marina.

Unlike most of the students whose families resided in the capital, Marina’s household lived in a small territory of their own, far from Lunathiel. Unfortunately, she had been visiting the capital when the disaster struck, leaving her trapped in the city alongside everyone else.

"Ken, are you okay?" she asked anxiously.

Ken looked up at her and gave her a reassuring nod.

"Yeah, I’m fine. Don’t worry."

Although he tried to sound casual, he remained seated on the ground while Lyria’s healing magic continued to work on his injuries.

Marina studied him for a moment, still looking concerned, but she eventually relaxed a little upon seeing that he was conscious and able to speak.
