Chapter 743: Complete World
Chapter 743: Complete World
The sky crashed down, collapsing with weight and pressure until it slammed against Zeus’s shoulder.
For a brief moment, Neo thought it might have worked.
But Zeus only tilted his head, shrugged the pressure off, and the sky simply shattered into fragments.
He snapped his fingers, and another sky appeared above, replacing the broken one.
The actions were so fluid that one might think he was only changing clothes.
Still, Neo had achieved what he wanted.
Zeus’s attention shifted.
His focus broke away from Amelia.
Zeus raised his hand.
His fingers curled slowly before slicing downward.
The clouds above rumbled like a drumline before tearing open.
A single lightning bolt carved through the sky.
Neo’s eyes narrowed.
He could feel the strength of the lightning bolt before it even landed.
He couldn’t block it.
Even with his strength, even knowing he could revive, the bolt carried so much force that it would kill him instantly.
And in the moments he revived, Zeus would simply finish the fight.
Dodging was the only option.
Neo activated the Heavenly Records.
From them, billions of tiny Time Worlds bloomed like sparks, each one at peak Stage 4.
On their own, they were nothing compared to Zeus.
But their numbers made up for it, and when combined with his natural agility—at Grade 3 Stage 6 rank—the sudden rush of speed elevated him to the threshold of peak Grade Stage 6.
He stepped forward, moving just as the bolt tore down.
But the ground crushed him.
Gravity itself slammed onto his shoulders.
His bones cracked audibly, pain rushing through his frame as he froze in place.
The lightning bolt missed, striking earth in a flash of white fire.
Neo blinked in surprise, realizing it hadn’t been his effort that saved him.
Zeus’s gaze shifted.
“Who are you?” he muttered, eyes narrowing at Moraine. “A Stage 5 god shouldn’t be strong enough to bend my Fate.”
Moraine’s hand still lingered in the air from the sign she’d traced.
She held his gaze.
“Even if you can make me miss by a few inches, it won’t matter.” Zeus’s finally shook his head.
He snapped his fingers. The clouds split wide.
Hundreds of lightning bolts cascaded down at once.
Neo tried to move, but gravity kept him pinned.
His head turned to Moraine instinctively.
Each bolt carried enough power to erase a Grade 4 Stage 6 God outright.
She wouldn’t survive even one.
“Don’t worry about me!” Moraine’s voice was sharp as she pressed her palms together.
Divine energy spiraled around her. Lines of force etched themselves into the air.
A magic circle ignited.
From within, a knight in black armor stepped forward, sword already drawn. It raised its blade and met the storm.
Steel clashed with lightning.
Neo finally forced his own escape.
He invoked Obitus’s Formless Infinity, stepping across space in a single instant.
His body blurred forward as he dodged bolts, each one crashing just behind him.
But every step came at a cost.
His shoulders screamed.
The invisible weight increased.
It wasn’t simple pressure. It was as though Zeus’s World had decided Neo himself would carry the burden of entire world.
’This must be the effect of his World,’ Neo thought, gritting his teeth.
He knew what it meant.
If he didn’t kill Zeus quickly, he’d collapse under the growing weight and be pinned to the ground.
He crouched, ignoring the sharp crackle in his ribs, and launched himself upward.
Red lightning wrapped around his sword as he pulled Resonance energy into Obitus.
The blade thrummed.
His swing extended, stretching distance itself so that even though Zeus floated far above, the edge was already at his throat.
The strike landed and—
Clang!
Neo’s breath caught. His eyes widened.
’What?’
The sword stopped.
’Not even a scratch?’
Zeus hadn’t blocked. He hadn’t moved.
He only floated there, robes shifting lazily in the charged air.
Neo’s blade pressed against his neck and went no further.
Neo pulled back, tried again with a sharper strike. The result was the same. The sword simply couldn’t cut.
’What the hell is this World?’
Stage 4 Gods began weaving their elements, Concepts and Laws into their worlds, but the laws they created were weak, and couldn’t shape reality in meaningful ways.
Their Worlds were only extensions of their Concept, nothing more.
Stage 5 Gods strengthened their World with Resonance Energy.
This increased the strength of their element, and the Concept.
But still, the laws inside their world were fragile, and barely noticeable.
This changed at Stage 6.
The world of Stage 6 God had its own laws.
It was a [Complete World] that worked on the laws, Concept, and elements of its God.
The laws couldn’t be anything, of course.
They had to tie back to the god’s Concept, to their life and what they represented.
But once formed, those laws ruled with absolute authority inside the World.
Many said that Stage 6 was where one truly became a god. This was where they had a World that obeyed their instructions, and everything worked as the God decided.
Neo struck again and again. His movements were far faster than ever.
Sparks flared as his blade clashed against Zeus’s unmoving skin.
Each impact was useless.
Zeus didn’t defend, or retaliate.
He simply let Neo exhaust himself.
And all the while, Neo’s shoulders bent lower.
His breaths grew shallow.
Every step increased the weight on his shoulders.
The sensation made him think he was being made to carry the weight of the world.
’I’m reaching my limit,’ Neo muttered under his breath.
He staggered, barely moving in time as another bolt tore the air behind him.
The Formless Infinity helped but his steps grew heavier, and heavier.
“Neo!” Moraine’s voice cut through the storm.
His head snapped toward her.
“I figured it out!” she shouted, blocking another bolt with her summoned knight. “I know how his World works! Think of Zeus’ title from our world. Remember it!”
Neo’s heart pounded. His blade wavered in the stormlight.
The Heavenly Records shifted around him, working furiously. They combed through histories, titles, myths, every story tied to Zeus.
A calm and analytical voice spoke inside him.
[Master, after analyzing the past and comparing it to Zeus’s current ability, we’ve determined the law of his World that is protecting him.]
Neo ducked under another bolt of lightning that tore the ground where he had just been standing.
His grip tightened around his sword.
’What is it?’ he asked quickly, eyes darting back to Zeus.
[The law makes him invincible within his World.]
Neo cursed under his breath.
The answer made sense, but it also made the situation absurd.
An opponent who couldn’t be harmed was one thing, but an opponent whose entire World enforced that invincibility was worse.
As long as they fought here, Zeus was invincible.
Still, despair didn’t take root.
If Zeus’s World had grown strong enough to create such a law, then it also had to follow the same logic as any other [Complete World].
It came from Zeus himself, built from his life and Concept. That meant it had weaknesses, and flaws.
Every person had them, and Gods were no different. Their flaws became part of their World just as much as their strength.
“I found the answer, Neo! The mountain!” Moraine shouted over the storm. Her golden eyes, telling Neo she was looking into the tapestry of Fate.
She was still dodging the rain of bolts.
Her summoned knight intercepted those that came too close, but it was crumbling.
The knight had lost one of its arms already.
“Climb it! Only after reaching the top will you gain the qualification to fight him!”
Neo’s eyes narrowed, and he nodded without hesitation.
’Qualification to fight,’ he thought as he dashed forward.
The pieces clicked together.
That was why his attacks couldn’t leave even a scratch.
He didn’t have the qualification to fight Zeus.
Without it, Zeus remained untouchable, and Invincible.
Neo swore under his breath again.
A Stage 6 god’s Complete World was maddeningly unfair.
But that didn’t change the reality. If the path to defeating Zeus meant climbing that mountain, then he would climb it.
He turned his body and sprinted toward the jagged peak that pierced through the clouds.
It towered above the battlefield.
But the moment Neo set his foot on the rocky incline, his body screamed.
“Urk!”
His knees almost buckled.
Each step dragged him down harder than the last. The weight wasn’t only increasing like before, it was multiplying exponentially, and crushing him from every angle.
’Skyfall,’ Neo realized through gritted teeth. ’This is his World’s law crushing me. Every step increases the weight of the sky itself pressing against me.’
He forced himself to keep going, one foot after the other.
The incline felt endless already.
His shoulders bent low under the invisible burden.
Bones snapped. His muscles tore. He coughed blood into the dirt, but he didn’t stop.
Was he going to die here?
Then so be it.
He would die.
Death wasn’t enough to stop him.
When his legs tore, he replaced them with new ones.
When his ribs shattered, he stitched them together.
The body he wore crumbled hundreds of times under the sheer weight crushing him, but each time he created it anew and move again.
Step after step.
Formless Infinity carried him forward, skipping pieces of distance, but the mountain mocked even that.
Its size was beyond comprehension.
Every leap forward only revealed more distance that had to be climbed.
“You think it will be so easy?” Zeus’s voice rolled across the mountain like thunder.
The clouds above churned in response, gathering power.
