Extra's Death: I Am the Son of Hades

Chapter 721: Make Sure They Don’t Find About His Death

Chapter 721: Make Sure They Don’t Find About His Death

“Felix, have you played games before?”

“Games?” Felix blinked. “Yeah. Why?”

“That’s my Path,” Neo said calmly. “You kill monsters, you train your skills, you level up, you gain new classes, you learn new abilities, you master them, and then you gain new skills. It works like that.”

Felix froze, staring at him.

The explanation sounded simple, and childish, but at the same time it ignored the rigid restrictions that bound every known Path.

“No way… is that actually true!?”

Her voice carried disbelief but also growing excitement.

Neo nodded without hesitation.

Her breath quickened as she thought about what that meant.

It was a- no, the Perfect Path.

Neo, however, knew there was a lot he needed to do to perfect his Path.

The gene limit still existed for Felix and the others who were born in this Cosmos.

He hadn’t found a way to give them the Heavenbreaker gene yet.

But Sacred Treasures could still be used to break through those gene limits.

If they had those, then with Neo’s Path, their power would grow in ways no one else in the world could match.

Felix finally asked the question on her mind. “How do I use your Path?”

Neo extended his hand toward her. “Give me your hand.”

Felix placed her hand in his. His grip was firm but not forceful, and she felt a sudden warmth travel through her arm.

Neo connected to her existence and linked a Heavenly Record to it.

Several translucent screens blinked into existence before her eyes.

[Giving Felix Morris access to the Path of Eternal Transcendence]

[Access granted]

Her heart skipped a beat as more text appeared.

[Name: Felix Morris]

[Species: Demigod (Human), Devil (Soul Weapon Contractor)]

[Existence: Stage 2]

[Level 1]

[Class: None]

[Traits: …]

There was far too much information for her to process all at once.

She stared at it, dazed, until the screen shifted again. A new golden frame appeared, radiating faint light.

[Given Classes are available for Felix Morris to choose from.]

Three names floated in front of her eyes:

Whisperblade of the Veil. (Legendary Class)

Sovereign of Enchanting Shadows(Legendary Class)

Dagger of Silent Eternity. (Legendary Class)

Felix’s lips parted as she read them.

Each one carried an overwhelming aura of power.

The power they radiated was the same power that came from calling the name of powerful gods.

It meant these classes’ names had Existence woven into them!

Neo smiled faintly. “I gave you access to legendary classes. Choose any one of them and you’ll gain skills related to it. There’s a lot more waiting for you when you level up, but I’ll let you discover those surprises yourself.”

Felix’s excitement was impossible to hide. “Thanks!”

She immediately focused on the screen again.

Her eyes darted back and forth like a child receiving their first gift.

Neo let her immerse herself in the options and turned his head to Arthur.

Their gazes met.

“Your hand,” Neo said.

Arthur didn’t question him.

He placed his hand into Neo’s, and the same connection was made.

Heavenly Records appeared before Arthur’s eyes, lines of information flowing until his own golden selection screen arrived.

Seven names appeared this time:

Eternal Conductor of Elements. (Legendary Class)

Blade of the World’s Balance. (Legendary Class)

Sword of Unyielding Justice. (Legendary Class)

Avenger of Fallen Flames. (Legendary Class)

Mystic Lord of Elemental Dominion. (Legendary Class)

Warden of Radiant Vows. (Legendary Class)

Shadowpiercer of the Dawn. (Legendary Class)

Neo couldn’t grant them too many skills and classes at once.

Their existence wouldn’t be able to sustain that burden, and it would end up warping.

Only Neo could merge with foreign existences and stay himself.

For others, they would need to spend time with classes and skills, make them their ’own’ and then level up.

This was where ’mastering the skills and classes’ came from.

Arthur took his time reading the class details.

His expression remained calm, but there was a glint in his eyes.

He closed the screen after a moment and gave Neo a short nod.

“Thanks.”

Neo nodded back, wordless.

Finally, he turned toward Jack.

Unlike the others, Jack didn’t move.

He just looked at Neo with a complicated expression, torn between curiosity and something deeper.

After a pause, he shook his head.

“I’m sorry, but I’m going to refuse,” Jack said quietly.

Neo raised a brow. “Why?”

Jack clenched his fists. “I won’t take any shortcuts until I can create a Necromancy Element. This is important to me. If I use another Path before then, I’ll lose what I’m trying to build.”

“Alright.” Neo’s response was calm.

Jack blinked, surprised at how easily Neo accepted his decision.

He had expected arguments, maybe even pressure.

Instead, Neo reached out and patted his shoulder.

“I trust you,” Neo said. “If you say you want to do it like this, then I won’t force you.”

The weight in Jack’s chest eased, though the complicated emotions didn’t disappear.

Neo straightened and looked between Arthur and Felix. “I will start giving my Path to people of your continents.”

With a snap of his fingers, a clone appeared behind him.

The figure was tall and cloaked, emanating an aura that made the air feel heavier.

“Thanatos will share my Path, to be exact,” Neo explained. “I will go to the Underworld to look for information about Ancient Dragons.”

Arthur stood, his expression steady. “Okay. Let me guide you first. I’ll announce the new Path to everyone before you start, so there won’t be mass hysteria.

“And since you want to spread it to other continents too, let me help you speak with their leaders.”

“Alright.” Neo gave him a simple nod.

Arthur and Thanatos moved away, leaving the place with quiet steps.

The room felt emptier without them.

Felix glanced at Jack, then at Neo.

“We’ll go talk with the Goddess from Forgotten Suns,” she said decisively.

Jack rose as well, following her.

Neo didn’t stop them.

His mind was already moving elsewhere.

He reached into his clothes and pulled out the Grim Reaper badge.

The black surface shimmered faintly as he activated it.

In an instant, the world around him warped, and the familiar sensation of the Underworld swallowed his body.

The cold and heavy atmosphere pressed against his skin, but it strangely felt like home.

The next second, he stepped forward again, crossing the distorted space with ease.

He appeared directly before the looming palace of Hades.

The structure rose like a black mountain, its walls carved with patterns that pulsed faintly in the dim light.

He didn’t waste time standing outside.

His steps echoed against the vast stairway until he pushed the heavy doors open and entered.

The main hall stretched endlessly, quiet except for the sound of his footsteps.

At the far end, Bael sat on a throne, one leg crossed over the other.

Bael raised a brow when his gaze fell on Neo.

“What brought the princess back so quickly?”

His tone was laced with amusement, though he didn’t bother to hide the edge of curiosity beneath it.

Neo was long past reacting to that title. He kept his face even. “Ancient dragons might attack Earth soon.”

Bael leaned back slightly, eyes narrowing.

“Those filthy lizards must’ve forgotten their place.” He almost sounded like he was enjoying the thought.

Neo ignored the tone. “Do you know about the weakness of ancient dragons?”

Without hesitation, Bael lifted his hand.

A small orb of black light appeared above his palm. He flicked it toward Neo, and it dissolved into his forehead.

Information surged through Neo’s head.

Images, names, and fragments of knowledge appeared in his mind.

His expression grew strange as he processed it.

This wasn’t about techniques, blood, or weaknesses of flesh.

Instead, it contained details about the children of ancient dragons, the places they treasured, the beings they refused to let go of.

“This… this is knowledge about their children, or things and places they care about.”

“Yes,” Bael replied. “Use those things against them if they dare stand against you.”

Neo’s jaw tightened.

He wasn’t eager to use such methods.

Manipulating loved ones and sacred grounds felt wrong, even in war.

Bael noticed his hesitation. His lips curled faintly.

“You’re just like your father, aren’t you? Calling these methods despicable even though we are on the edge of war—”

“I’m not like him.” Neo’s voice came out sharper and higher than he intended.

The sound cut through the hall.

The words lingered in the air, and Neo felt the weight of them pressing back on him.

His teeth sank into his lip.

Was he really not like Hades?

The thought dug into him like a thorn.

He was still torn between Moraine and Elizabeth.

Wasn’t he planning to choose one and leave the other behind?

How different was that from Hades, who had abandoned him despite everything Neo had done to gain his acknowledgment?

His fists clenched at his sides, but he forced the turmoil down.

Bael, unaware of the storm burning inside Neo, continued without pause. “You can use that information or not. I’ll leave that choice to you. But there are three things you must keep in mind.”

He raised one finger.

“First, I cannot help you. I must protect this place. I might have left during the First Prince’s Shadow Trial, but with ancient dragons at our doorsteps, I cannot abandon the palace again.”
