Chapter 1337: Chapter 539: Sweeping Across the Human Realm

“Our meeting today is truly significant.”

The Demon King spoke bluntly, straight to the point.

“I wonder what high opinions the Dark Emperor has for my race?”

Zhang Beixing did not beat around the bush, speaking frankly.

“The big picture is set; the Human Realm will surely bow to me.”

“If the Demon Race can offer strong support, a share will naturally be theirs.”

“As for how the benefits will be allocated, I ask Your Majesty to decide.”

Upon hearing this, the Demon King’s eyes flickered, a hint of strange color flashing in his gaze.

It was clear that the other’s audacity and arrogance were truly unexpected.

However, on second thought, without such courage, he would not be fit to negotiate with him.

“Well said, truly not a disappointment as my confidant.”

The Demon King laughed heartily and rose to his feet.

“The words of the Dark Emperor, I shall remember well.”

“Once the Human Race is pacified, the Demon Race will indeed send its best to assist you.”

“As for the benefits, fifty-fifty split, how about it?”

As soon as this was said, the entire hall burst into astonishment.

Even the elders of the Demon Race took a cold breath, faces aghast.

A proud Demon Race, how could it so easily concede its own interests?

Could it be that the Demon King was blinded and made a wrong decision?

Even Alina and Richard were somewhat surprised, exchanged a glance, eyes full of confusion.

Only Zhang Beixing remained calm and composed.

As if this outcome was already expected.

“If that’s the case, then it’s settled.”

He nodded slowly, speaking with an airy and breezy tone.

“I will go meet the people of the Holy See, and Your Majesty must be prepared.”

“Once the war begins, the Dark Empire shall exhaust all efforts.”

“But at the same time, please, Demon Race, do not disappoint me.”

As the words fell, silence enveloped the surroundings.

The Demon King’s eyes flickered, seemingly a bit unsettled.

Although Zhang Beixing’s words were polite, they were clearly a warning.

If the Demon Race dares to betray, the consequences might be unimaginable.

He secretly gritted his teeth, but his expression remained unchanged.

“My lord, rest assured.”

“The Demon Race is not one to break its promises.”

“Any promise made will certainly be fulfilled to the end.”

Zhang Beixing nodded with satisfaction, got up, and bid farewell.

“That’s it then, we’ll meet again in the future.”

With that, he strode away, his tall figure like a pine.

Alina and Richard followed closely, each with faces full of admiration.

Only when the group of Vampires disappeared did the Demon King’s mask suddenly shatter.

“Damn it, to dare humiliate the king like this!”

He gnashed his teeth, fists clenched tightly, veins bulging.

“If this hatred is not avenged, I swear not to be human!”

“Your Majesty, calm your anger, beware of recklessness.”

The elder nearby quickly spoke to dissuade him, forehead drenched in cold sweat.

“That man is cunning and has highest methods.”

“If we impulsively oppose him, I’m afraid it would be dangerous.”

Upon hearing this, the Demon King’s fury slightly subsided.

He took a deep breath, gazing gloomily into the distance.

“Fine, let him have his moment of pride.”

“When the Human Realm is in our grasp, we’ll settle the score with him.”

“Dark Emperor, just you wait.”

“Someday, I will make you understand who the real ruler of this world is!”

As the words fell, madness flickered in the Demon King’s eyes.

This was a war without smoke.

From ally to enemy, it was just a matter of a single thought.

And only that man could laugh last.

Because he, was favored by destiny.

Meanwhile, at the Church Headquarters.

Gallor stared in shock at the scene before him, almost unable to believe his eyes.

The prestigious headquarters of the Holy See was in complete disarray.

Everywhere were broken walls and ruins, dust rising.

Countless Cardinals and Holy Knights lay dead across the ground.

Blood soaked the earth, the air filled with the scent of death.

“What… what on earth has happened?”

Gallor murmured to himself, trembling legs almost collapsing.

He looked around, and everywhere he saw was despair and fear.

Survivors gathered together, faces ashen, tears streaming.

No one dared to believe that the Holy See could suffer such a blow.

And the culprit was that despicable Vampire King.

“Lord Gallor, this is how the situation unfolded.”

A young Holy Knight stepped forward to report, voice full of sorrow.

“The Dark Emperor suddenly launched an attack, catching us completely unprepared.”

“Even the Archbishop fought and died on the battlefield; the entire Holy See is leaderless.”

“Now, where should we go from here?”

By the end of his words, he was in tears, unable to speak.

Upon hearing this, Gallor’s heart felt as if pierced by thousands of knives.

Pain, humiliation, fear, a mix of negative emotions intertwined.

Making this revered elder nearly faint.

He took a deep breath, forced himself to stay calm.

“Don’t panic, it’s not over yet.”

“As long as faith remains, light will never perish.”

“We must unite and overcome this crisis together.”

But despite his words, Gallor was not confident in his heart.

He knew that with the Holy See’s current strength, it was impossible to contend against the Vampires.

Not to mention the Demon Race was eyeing them covetously.

If the two joined forces, the entire Human Realm would plunge into endless darkness.

Thinking of this, Gallor couldn’t help but weep.

The once unyielding Holy See had been brought to such downfall.

All because of that damned Zhang Beixing.

“Beixing, remember this.”

Gallor gnashed his teeth, eyes burning with flames of revenge.

“One day, I shall tear you into pieces.”

“To cleanse the Holy See of this outrageous humiliation!”

He clenched his fist, gaze firm and determined.

This is a time of decline.

The old gods have fallen, a new order is rising.

And standing at the pinnacle of this era will undoubtedly be that unrivalled man.

Dark Emperor, Zhang Beixing.
