Chapter 601: This is.......
Chapter 601: This is…….
Was it because they were fragments of something greater?
The theory held weight..
Yet there were holes in the theory too. If humanity were fragments, what of the other races? Were they fragments as well?
This theory seemed to suggest that before all races, there had been some form of progenitor—the true origins from which all others descended.
*Maybe I’m just thinking too much. Maybe creation is just… the aftermath. A byproduct of reaching that stage.”
The more he dwelled on it, the more the uncertainty twisted in his chest.
Perhaps becoming a True Person meant aligning closely with the universe’s essence. A journey. An ascension.
That made sense too.
Still, the idea nagged at him.
If anyone could give him an answer, it would be that vast, unknowable presence.
“Tell me,” he said quietly. “Is humanity incomplete?l?”
For a moment, silence stretched.
Then, before his eyes, a single panel shimmered into being.
[When you reach that level… you will understand.]
Michael’s face remained expressionless. The Origin Will was as vague as ever.
In the end, he chose not to dwell too deeply on the matter. When the time came to face those truths, he would reach them naturally.
For now, these matters were far from the current him—far too distant for a newcomer like him to know everything.
Michael turned his attention back to the panel, his gaze locking once more on [Genesis Body].
The earlier implications still rattled in his head, but curiosity was something he couldn’t ignore. What would a “clone” of him even look like? Would it be a perfect mirror of his current self, or something distorted?
A small spark of anticipation stirred inside him. Yet doubt quickly followed.
Though he had the title, he actually wasn’t a “god.” He bore the title {Mortal God}, which itself was proof that his form was incomplete. Trying to force out something reserved for existences beyond him could be reckless.
Still, the temptation lingered.
He rubbed the back of his hand, his eyes narrowing. “If it fails, I’ll stop it immediately. If it causes even the smallest disturbance…” His lips tightened. “…I’ll stop it before it spreads.”
The decision was made.
Michael exhaled slowly and willed the skill to activate.

“Brother, are you really not going to reveal your secrets?”
Michael blinked and turned his head. Lily stood there, arms folded, her expression pinched in quiet disapproval.
“What secrets?” he asked, his tone flat.
Lily pursed her lips, clearly unconvinced. “Don’t play dumb.”
It had been three days since she had last seen him. Three days of his strange absence. And when she finally did lay eyes on him this morning, she couldn’t believe what she was seeing.
Because somehow—her cousin had gotten… more beautiful.
Michael’s face remained flat, and he didn’t respond to Lily’s prodding.
Instead, he turned toward his aunt, who sat quietly at the dining table, her gaze fixed on him.
“Are you okay?” she asked softly, her tone filled with concern.
“Yes, ma,” Michael replied with a nod. After a pause, he added, “Something came up on the ’other side’ that demanded my attention.”
Aunt Mia gave a slow nod. He didn’t need to say much for her to understand. She had already grown used to these vague explanations, and she knew better than to press for details.
But then, her expression shifted, turning faintly sorrowful.
“It’s today you’re leaving, isn’t it?”
Michael’s own expression turned a little strange at her words.
After finally managing to stabilize and control the strength of his new body, he had returned to Aurora without delay. It had been late at night, and rather than wake anyone, he had pulled out his phone to catch up on what he had missed.
That was when he discovered the truth—he had been gone for three whole days.
The realization had left him unsettled. For him, it hadn’t felt that long, but the world outside had moved on without him. It was uncomfortable to accept at first, but there was nothing to do except accept it.
Fortunately, nothing major had happened in his absence.
As for Aunt Mia’s words about him leaving—she was right. Today was the day.
Michael had already prepared to depart for the academy campus. A week had passed since the conclusion of the third round of exams, and now it was time to move on to the next stage.
He would travel to the academy site in Aurora to officially register as a new student—and to meet the principal, who had specifically requested a private meeting with him.
His bags were already packed. Even the human undead stationed around the house had been recalled into his coffin.
Of course, Michael had other arrangements in mind for them.
“Don’t worry, Aunt Mia. I’ll try my best to visit when I can,” Michael said with a serious expression, though he made no promises.
The truth was, though he had only been a supernatural for barely four months, he was no longer naïve. He didn’t believe for a second that he could spend as much time with his family as the original owner of his body had before his transmigration.
That kind of life was already getting far away from him as his powers got stronger
What he could do, however, was, one day, he would find a way to extend their lifespan and grant them power of their own. But now was not the time.
Aunt Mia nodded, though her expression did not improve. She lowered her eyes back to her food, assuming the conversation had ended. But before she could resume eating, Michael spoke again.
“Also… I have something I need to leave in your care.”
Both Aunt Mia and Lily looked up at him in confusion.
Michael didn’t keep them waiting. “You both know about Beginning… and Lily, right?”
At the mention of the last name, Lily rolled her eyes at her cousin, but didn’t interrupt.
Of course they knew about his undead—how could they not? A few minutes ago, over a dozen had been stationed around the house like silent guardians.
As for Beginning and the undead Titan also named Lily, the impression they left on both Aunt Mia and her daughter was even deeper. The female Titan had even shared makeup sessions with Lily, much to Michael’s continued bewilderment.
Seeing their puzzled looks, Michael exhaled lightly and reached into his soul. A palm-sized coffin materialized in his hand, its surface gleaming faintly with an ominous glow.
The two women barely had time to register the strange artifact before a figure stepped out from within.
Lily blinked in surprise.
The figure that had blinked out of the coffin was a boy.
He looked to be about her own age—fifteen at most—and stood tall with a natural presence that felt… familiar. His long hair, dark and flowing, carried the same texture as Michael’s, and when his gaze lifted, twin green eyes glowed faintly.
Lily’s breath caught for half a second. The resemblance was undeniable. The sharp lines of his face, the height, even the slight stoicism in his expression—he looked like a younger Michael, almost a sibling carved from the same mold.
“Guys… let me introduce you,” Michael said, his voice steady.
He paused for a brief moment, then finished,
“This is… Jester.”
