Evolving My Undead Legion In A Game-Like World
Chapter 1325 Successful Advancement To Rank 5
"ROOOOAAARR!"
A deafening roar erupted from Lily's mouth as she raised her head toward the heavens. The sound swept across the surrounding region, causing the already devastated land to tremble.
At the same time, Lily's enormous body began expanding. Her muscles swelled, her bones lengthened, and the injuries covering her body began healing at a speed visible to the naked eye. The blackened flesh left behind by the heavenly lightning gradually peeled away, revealing new skin underneath.
However, the most noticeable change wasn't her physical transformation.
It was her aura.
Lily's already terrifying aura began growing stronger at an alarming rate.
Michael, who had been watching from a considerable distance, felt his heart begin beating faster. His eyes were filled with excitement and anticipation.
"She's advancing!"
Although he had expected this outcome after seeing Lily survive the final lightning strike, witnessing the transformation firsthand was an entirely different experience.
Advancing to Rank 5 was truly no simple matter. Throughout the heavenly tribulation, there had been several occasions when Michael genuinely thought Lily was about to perish. If even a single thing had gone wrong, Lily would have been finished.
Fortunately, Lily possessed a Law as ridiculous as the Law of Devouring.
Michael raised his head toward the sky. The enormous tribulation clouds were still present, but the terrifying pressure that had filled the region was gradually dissipating.
"Heh."
Michael couldn't help chuckling. No matter how badly the heavens wanted to kill Lily, it was too late now. It could only try again later.
Michael's attention soon returned to the giant.
Lily's body was still expanding. Her already enormous figure continued growing taller, and the aura surrounding her became increasingly concentrated. The space around her trembled faintly, and even the ground beneath her feet began sinking under the pressure of her transformation.
Michael watched without blinking.
Finally, after several more moments, Lily's growth came to an end. Her enormous body stood upright amid the devastated landscape, and the last traces of lightning flickering across her skin gradually disappeared.
Then, one after another, familiar panels materialized before Michael's eyes.
[Your undead Ancient Giant has successfully advanced to Rank 5!]
"Rank 5!"
Michael couldn't suppress the grin spreading across his face.
A Rank 5 undead!
He finally possessed an undead that had truly crossed the threshold into Rank 5, one he had personally nurtured rather than obtained from an external source.
No shade to Lunara and Valeria, though.
Before Michael could fully process his excitement, another notification appeared.
[Your undead, Lily, has undergone a significant transformation.]
[Current Level: 107]
"Level 107!"
Michael's smile widened. Considering Lily's foundation, he knew that the improvement in her combat strength couldn't possibly be measured by Levels alone.
As for who was stronger between Lily and Lunara, the greedy female ghost still held the advantage.
It couldn't be helped. Lunara had been at Rank 5 for much longer.
The notifications weren't finished.
[Your undead has completed a fundamental transformation of its existence.]
[The conditions for the awakening of a True Name have been fulfilled.]
[Your undead, Lily, has awakened a True Name!]
Michael froze momentarily.
"A True Name? What's that?"
Michael was about to examine the notification more carefully when another panel appeared.
[Your undead, Lily, has awakened a Divine Ability.]
[Divine Ability: Black Void]
"Hahaha!"
"Good! Very good!"
Aside from the mysterious True Name he had yet to investigate, Michael had expected these developments. Still, that didn't reduce his excitement one bit.
He wanted to approach Lily and examine her transformation.
However, just as he was about to move…
BOOM!
A powerful wave of energy suddenly erupted within his body.
Michael's expression changed.
"?!"
"What the…"
Michael recognized this energy immediately. It was the feedback he received whenever one of his undead advanced to a higher Rank, a sensation he had experienced countless times since becoming a Necromancer.
In the beginning, this had been one of the most important ways Michael strengthened himself. It remained one of his methods even now, although his Law had since become his primary means of increasing his strength.
As Michael grew stronger, the feedback had gradually become less noticeable, especially after the first few dozen undead advanced to higher Ranks.
Even when hundreds or thousands of undead advanced, the benefits often had to accumulate before Michael could notice a meaningful difference.
It wasn't that the feedback had become weaker. Rather, Michael himself had become too strong for the improvements from ordinary undead to make much of a difference.
"Ah!"
Michael involuntarily let out a low groan. The energy surging through his body was considerably more powerful than he had anticipated.
However, unlike the pain associated with certain physical transformations, the sensation wasn't particularly uncomfortable. If anything, it was strangely pleasant. Michael could clearly feel his body growing stronger.
Michael clenched his fists.
"This…"
He hadn't expected Lily's advancement to provide such an enormous benefit.
Status.
[Class]: Death's Heir
[Attributes]
Strength: 2352.45 (+141)
Agility: 2642.32 (+106.5)
Constitution: 2754.33 (+194.5)
Intelligence: 2934.74 (+125)
Attribute Points: 517
"More than five hundred points at once?!"
Michael couldn't help sucking in a breath of cold air.
"That's ridiculous!"
This was even more than the free attribute points Michael had deliberately saved for emergencies or for the period immediately before his next advancement.
And that was from a single undead advancing to Rank 5!
"Hahaha!"
Michael couldn't suppress his laughter.
"This is simply wonderful!"
He had been so focused on Lily's advancement that he had almost forgotten how valuable the feedback would be.
His current attributes had already reached a rather frightening level.
Following the recent mass evolutions of the undead he had engraved as tattoos, Michael had grown considerably stronger.
His personal combat strength had reached the point where he could suppress ordinary Level 100 Awakeners to some extent. Against the true geniuses at that Level, however, he could only exchange a few moves before having to retreat.
Although Lily's feedback had only narrowed the gap slightly, she was merely the first of his personally nurtured undead to reach Rank 5!
There were still Lucky, Beginning, Spartan, and several others waiting to advance, each possessing tremendous potential.
