Evolving My Undead Legion In A Game-Like World

Chapter 1043 Epic Grade Evolution Essense Crystal

Chapter 1043 Epic Grade Evolution Essense Crystal

While Michael in Aurora went about handling various matters, another Michael sat quietly in the Land of Origin.

The scenery around him was majestic. Towering mountain peaks stretched toward the sky in every direction. Clouds drifted lazily between them while cold winds swept across the rocky landscape.

Michael sat atop a massive boulder overlooking the mountains. His attention was focused on two items resting in his hands.

A palm-sized black coffin. And a silver ring.

These were currently his two storage treasures. The first was naturally the Damaged Coffin of the Forgotten. The second was the spatial ring he had acquired later.

Both were invaluable Three-Star Epic Grade treasures, obtained as rewards from his rank advancement quest.

Yet at this moment, Michael was not admiring them.

As he stabilized the situation in the empire while his original body recovered from exhaustion, Michael had not been idle during the past week. He had continued accumulating Evolution Points steadily.

After three more days, though the rate of growth had slowed considerably, it had still managed to cross the ten million mark.

However, no significant change had come to his talent aside from gaining the ability to create an Epic Grade Evolution Essence Crystal.

Speaking of which, the crystal had impressive properties if one ignored the cost of seventy thousand Evolution Points per creation.

Each use could increase a stat by seventy to one hundred points, provided the stat in question was below a thousand. It could also be used in the creation of items and already possessed an item spirit embryo.

The difference between this and the Extraordinary Grade Evolution Essence Crystal was that the latter only offered a chance at producing an item spirit, while the former already contained one that simply needed to be activated.

Of course, like the other crystals, this one could also raise the racial limit of Epic Grade monsters to Three Stars.

Surprisingly, despite its cost, it was the only crystal Michael genuinely felt was worth its price for his own use.

To evolve a monster to Rank 4, Michael needed at least fifteen thousand Evolution Points. With his talent and sufficient points now at his disposal, he had also been able to determine that evolving a One-Star Epic Grade creature to Three Stars cost seventy-five thousand Evolution Points.

Though that was only five thousand less than evolving normally, spread across thousands of undead, using the Epic Grade Evolution Essence Crystal would save him an enormous amount of Evolution Points in total.

However, though tempted, Michael currently had no opportunity to evolve his undead during such a sensitive period.

It was only now, six days after the battle against the Black Serpent Empire, that he finally had time to himself.

With so many Evolution Points accumulated, it made little sense to simply save them. It would be far better to convert them into immediate strength. That was also the reason Michael was currently in this location.

The territory of the Black Serpent Empire was vast. Under its command were as many as thirty-three kingdoms. Even now, Michael only possessed a rough understanding of the empire's true prosperity.

The destruction of the palace had not helped matters. Many records had been lost while others remained buried beneath mountains of rubble, waiting to be excavated.

Restoring the empire to full functionality was not something that would happen anytime soon. Perhaps months. Perhaps years. Michael honestly did not know.

Fortunately, he had no intention of personally managing such matters.

Still, one advantage came from controlling the empire. Information.

Thanks to surviving officials and recovered records, Michael had gained access to numerous locations hidden throughout the empire. Aside from resource-rich territories, there were also extremely remote ones.

The location he currently occupied was one of them.

Compared to Evermoon Forest, where people occasionally passed through, this region was practically forgotten by civilization. Within two hundred thousand miles there were no surrounding territories.

In fact, Michael suspected that some areas here might not see a single visitor in ten years. It was simply a vast wilderness officially owned by the empire but unused by anyone, which made it perfect for his purposes.

If he wished, he could evolve dozens of undead to Rank 4 here without anyone discovering the phenomenon.

The thought was tempting, especially with over ten million Evolution Points sitting in his possession.

But Michael resisted. That was not why he had come.

His gaze lowered toward the Damaged Coffin of the Forgotten and the storage ring resting in his hands. A thoughtful expression appeared on his face.

For weeks now, a particular idea had lingered at the back of his mind. An idea he had considered multiple times but never possessed the resources to test.

Now things were different. He had a safe location. And most importantly, he finally had enough Evolution Points to afford the attempt.

He wanted to merge the two items together.

Individually, both were exceptional treasures. The Damaged Coffin of the Forgotten in particular had functions like serving as a gateway to the Netherworld and reviving him if he ever died.

However, the function he relied on most for both the coffin and the storage ring was their internal space.

Even when he divided his forces between the two, things were becoming crowded. Though he could have his undead maintain their human forms to create more room, this was not good for their development.

Just like other intelligent races, Michael's undead needed to train their abilities. After all, they were not mindless beasts.

Like any intelligent creature, they had the capacity to think independently and develop themselves. But due to the limited space, many of his undead could only stand idle, wasting their potential.

For undead who could train indefinitely, not exhausting their energy to grow stronger or comprehend their own Laws was a waste of their talents.

Something needed to change.

The Michael of before could not have done anything about it. But the Michael of now could.

He was genuinely excited at the idea of fusing the two spatial items together. With both being Three-Star Epic Grade, he was eager to see what would emerge after the merge.

There was an extremely low chance they would remain at Epic Grade afterward. What that meant was that Michael was confident the merge would result in a higher grade treasure.

And above Epic Grade was Legendary.

Yes. Today, Michael had decided to create a Legendary Grade item.
