Chapter 316 Ch-316: Queen Selene and Future

After everything settled, and she managed to avoid being crushed by stones dozens of times her size, she sighed, a bit shaken, wondering how this could be happening and what those creatures were. What caught her attention was what she saw next: beings made of shadows fighting other monsters in the distance.

"Amber, Rina, and holy, that’s me..." Valerie’s eyes widened to the size of saucers when she saw herself fighting alongside Amber and Rina, and they appeared to be much older and much more powerful.

BOOOOOM

"Holy..." Her mouth hung open when she saw herself transforming into gigantic dragons and launching a breath attack towards the army of monsters, and a huge mushroom cloud appeared in the distance like multiple nuclear missiles had exploded.

Rumble

The sky turned dark as black lightning fell down on the monsters, and a very handsome man appeared before her.

"Victor..." she said in a daze.

The scene changed, and Valerie saw that many countries, even the United States, had suffered tremendous damage from an attack. Various countries across the world were transforming into Kingdoms and granting many top-tier Awakeners and families noble titles, while Diamond-rank guilds received the highest noble titles of Duke and Duchess. Of course, there was no King title, as none of them would agree to have one person ruling over everyone else, and, in fact, no one among the Awakened possessed that kind of strength.

The next moment, the scene around her changed, and Valerie’s pupils constricted to the size of needles when she saw Victor sitting atop a mountain of corpses.

"This doesn’t seem to be Earth," Valerie mumbled and concluded that this was somewhere in the game world or another place, perhaps somewhere like the world of demons and devils, which she had visited before.

Step Step

Suddenly, multiple footsteps echoed as thousands of soldiers from various Kingdoms and even some Awakeners from Guilds surrounded Victor.

"King Victor, surrender immediately to the alliance. If you surrender now, we will let you keep your Kingdom. Just agree to the conditions," one of them shouted as he looked at Victor with wariness.

"Hah, conditions, my ass. You want me to hand over the blueprints for making the Mechs and even want to control the Dungeons with Obsidian. The people of Earth are really delusional and arrogant. What makes you think you can beat me?" Victor’s voice rang out, carrying a hint of mockery.

He looks so hot, so cool... No, what am I thinking? Valerie’s face flushed with embarrassment as she shook her head to clear her mind, which had started conjuring up filthy thoughts.

"Heh, you’re almost out of mana, and—" The man who had sneered upon hearing Victor’s claim froze when he sensed the mana in Victor’s body suddenly surge.

Rumble

The next moment, the sky crackled with intense black lightning, and large bolts of Black Lightning began to fall and converge on Victor.

"What the heck is that?" Not only did the soldiers in the vision have their mouths hanging open, but Valerie did too, when she saw the lightning around his body start to change and form a thousand-meter-tall titan made of Black Lightning, wielding a gigantic 700-meter sword made of black lightning, with Victor inside the titan’s head.

Valerie’s and the soldiers’ pupils shrank to the size of needles when they saw the titan raise its sword and swing it towards them.

Rumble

Bang

BOOOOOM

The soldiers and Awakeners did not get a chance to react before they were vaporized as the sword swept through them.

Woosh

After a few minutes, the lightning titan slaughtered all of them and vanished as Victor descended to the ground.

"I almost forgot how comical your shocked expression was in the past. At least close your mouth." Valerie, who had her mouth hanging open, immediately closed it. Then she realized something, and her body stiffened as she slowly turned her head towards Victor, who was looking at her with an amused smile.

"Y-You can see me?" Valerie asked, with sweat dripping from her forehead. She looked at Victor with wariness and fear.

"How many times have I told Mother-in-law not to pry into the future? She was very reckless in the past, and this time she even made you see the future... Now that I remember, didn’t you start aggressively pursuing me after this? I remember you telling me," Victor said as he scratched his chin.

"H-How? How can you see me? Isn’t this just a normal vision of the future?" Valerie asked with a stammer as she watched Victor reduce the distance between them with each footstep, stopping when their faces were mere inches apart.

Suddenly, Valerie’s eyes widened in disbelief, and a blush crept from her neck to her cheeks as she felt Victor’s warm lips press against hers. Her body trembled, and she almost fell to her knees when Victor grabbed her waist, pushed his tongue inside her mouth, and started licking her tongue and the inside of her cheeks.

"Huff... Huff... You..." Valerie’s eyes looked watery as she stared at Victor with embarrassment. Even though it was a vision, the kiss felt completely real, and she cursed inwardly, How am I supposed to act normally around Victor when I see him again?

"Hehe, off you go," Victor said with a chuckle. Then the entire vision cracked, and she found herself back in the room.

"Mother!" Valerie shouted when she spotted Susan kneeling on the ground, coughing up blood.

She hurriedly rushed forward and helped her mother stand up. Susan cursed, "This is the first time I’ve suffered such a huge backlash."

"No wonder he called you reckless," Valerie mumbled, hearing Susan’s words.

"What are you talking about?" Susan wiped the blood from her mouth and asked with a frown.

"Well..." Valerie started explaining everything that had happened to her mother, except for the kiss. As her mother heard that Victor could see them, her pupils shrank, and she looked at Valerie as if she had grown a second head.

"T-This is new... How come he can see us?" Susan mumbled with a hint of fear. This was the first time she had seen someone in a vision detect them. She had used it many times, but nothing like what Valerie described had ever occurred. Susan grimaced as she thought, I should be more careful when using this ability in the future.

Susan then looked at Valerie and said in a serious voice, "Now that you have seen your future, where you became a Queen, you must put in every effort to seduce my future son-in-law. Do you understand, girl?"

Valerie’s face flushed as she swallowed hard, touched her lips, and nodded. "Yes, Mother."

"Good. Now leave. I need to recover from the backlash," Susan said as she kicked Valerie out of her room.

Silvernum Kingdom, Silvernum Estate

It had already been three days since the Silvernum Barony was recognized as a Kingdom, which had sent shockwaves through all the former nobles. Many had dismissed the reports, even though multiple spies had confirmed the same thing. However, after the Akashic Records announced it across the former kingdom’s territories a day ago, the nobles had no choice but to accept it. Some of them were even planning to join the new Kingdom but were waiting for someone else to make the first move, while other Dukes felt uneasy and were considering whether they should team up with other nobles to attack the newly formed Kingdom.

The two factions that reacted the most strongly were the Queen’s Faction, led by the former Queens and concubines, and the Rosen Faction, whose members were said to have killed many servants upon hearing the news.

Currently, a beautiful woman who seemed to be in her late twenties was sipping tea while Maria, who had visited the Silvernum Faction before, stood by her side.

"I never expected the dignified First Queen, Selene, to arrive personally," Amanda said, looking at her with a hint of sarcasm. She was her brother’s first wife, who had basically ruled the Kingdom from the shadows.

"And I never expected to find you practically living in the Silvernum Territory. On second thought, you old virgin, you got married to King Victor," Selene said with a smirk, and veins popped on Amanda’s forehead.

While they were arguing and exchanging insults, Amber and Rina were watching the drama unfold with relish. It had been hectic, as they had to manage everything while the entire Kingdom celebrated for three days straight. Victor had made food free for everyone to enjoy and paid thousands of chefs insane amounts of gold to serve everyone across the Kingdom. Due to the drop rate, he had no reason to worry.

"Anyway, Queen Amber, Queen Rina, can you tell me when I can have an audience with the King?" Selene asked, looking at Amber and Rina.

Amber and Rina felt a rush of adrenaline when a former Queen addressed them as Queens.

"Well, he has been stuck in his workshop for the past three days. We honestly don’t know when he will come out," Rina said awkwardly.
