Chapter 295: Ch-295: Emily and Sophie’s powers

"Oh." Victor raised an eyebrow when he read this, and his expression quickly changed when he heard the sound of screaming.

"AHHHHHH! SO PAINFUL!"

"Emily! Sophie!" Rina and Amber shouted in panic when they saw Emily kneeling on the ground and were about to rush forward, but Victor grabbed their arms.

"Don’t. It’s part of the process; they will fail if you interfere," Victor said seriously, and Emily and Sophie seemed to hear his words.

"Exactly, Miss. Stay where you are."

"Indeed, Miss Amber. I am feeling some kind of new power awakening in me."

Emily and Sophie replied with a shout. Only Bianca seemed to be gritting her teeth to endure the pain, and Amanda was the one whose brows only furrowed but did not move forward, as she was confident that her retainer could endure the pain.

As time started to pass, they started to bleed from their noses, mouths, and ears, and what seemed like worms began wiggling from underneath their skin.

Seeing this, the girls panicked even more, and even Amanda could not remain calm anymore.

"Hey, they aren’t going to die, are they?" Amanda could not remain silent anymore and said as she pointed at Bianca.

Victor’s forehead creased when he heard the question and thought, ’How would I know... But they shouldn’t fail. No, fuck, wait. I heard people died during awakening. Even a famous employee had died in my past life... Fuck, fuck, I should stop this.’

This detail had completely slipped from Victor’s mind as he broke out in a cold sweat and was about to stop the ritual and bring out the rarest healing items to heal them. But before he could do anything, their shouts stopped, and they dropped onto the ground like dead people...

Seeing this, there was a brief and eerie silence until Amber swallowed hard and looked at Victor and said in a stiff and panicked voice, "Darling, they didn’t die, right?"

Amber might not show it, but she cared for Sophie like a little sister and would feel guilty for the rest of her life if anything happened to her. Rina also had a pale expression...

"You..." Amanda’s eyes widened as she shot a murderous look at Victor as if he were responsible for their deaths, but before she could do anything, Victor interrupted her...

"Look, they are still alive, and something is happening," Victor said after he calmed himself. He was also dumbfounded and scared shitless when he saw this, but to his relief, it seemed they had not died at all.

As soon as Victor spoke, the women looked at the trio lying on the ground motionless as a golden hue covered their bodies and started to heal their injuries at a rapid pace.

"Ugh." All three woke up with headaches as if they had not slept for days.

"Emily, are you all right?" Hearing her name being called, she looked ahead and saw Rina walking toward her with a worried expression, followed by Amber and Amanda.

Amanda looked at Bianca, who was staring blankly at the air, but she knew she was looking at her own stats, so Amanda asked, "Bianca, have you awakened a Bloodline? Can this place really awaken a Bloodline, or did you endure torture for no reason?"

Amanda was still a bit skeptical.

Everyone’s eyes were immediately drawn to her as she snapped out of her daze, looked at Bianca, and broke into an excited smile. "Yes, it’s true. I have awakened a Bloodline. It’s not a scam."

Hiss!

Amanda sucked in a cold breath and thought, ’This is outrageous.’

After calming down, she looked at Bianca and asked, "What Bloodline did you get?"

"I will show you, Miss," Bianca said with excitement as she stood up and raised her hand, creating a large steel spike, and gestured with her hand as the spike struck the ground.

"This Bloodline I awakened is called Metal Creation and Manipulation. It allows me to create metals and control them," Bianca said.

Victor immediately used his Eye of Insight on Bianca, and the details appeared.

"What about you two? What Bloodline did you get?" Amber said to Emily and Sophie, who were looking at Bianca in surprise and had forgotten to check their own.

"We will check," both said and hurriedly opened their status windows, and their eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.

"What’s wrong? Did you not get a Bloodline?" Rina asked anxiously. If they endured torture for no reason, she would feel very regretful.

"We got support-type Bloodlines," Sophie said subconsciously as she was still trying to process the Bloodline she had gotten.

"Support-type Bloodlines?" Amber frowned as she did not look too happy, as support-type Bloodlines were not much use in high-combat fights.

"Don’t be sad. Support-type Bloodlines also have their uses," Rina said with a strained smile.

"It’s not that our Bloodlines are useless and we are sad... How should we say it? They are overpowered in my eyes," Emily said with some hesitation.

"Overpowered, you say?" Amanda and Bianca looked at each other and then at the duo.

"I will share the details with you all."

"Me too."

Emily and Sophie shared their status windows with them, and everyone’s eyes nearly popped out of their sockets as they all shouted...

"What!!!??!"

Amanda and Bianca were dying of curiosity after seeing the exaggerated reaction and said to Emily and Sophie, "Can you also share your status windows with us?"

Emily and Sophie thought for some time and shrugged their shoulders, as their Bloodlines were bound to be revealed anyway.

Just as Amanda and Bianca’s eyes fell on the status windows, they shouted with their mouths open, "These abilities are too exaggerated!"

Description: Allows the user to form a contract with someone stronger and can link the person with multiple people. The linked person gets 50% of the stats of the person with the highest stats. This is the best Bloodline to buff an army.

Victor’s mouth opened and closed as he read the first Bloodline belonging to Sophie, but when he read Emily’s Bloodline, he was more shocked, as this was much more useful to him than the former, but both were formidable.

"Holy shit, Emily, Sophie," Amber cursed out as she looked at the two women with disbelief.

Sophie and Emily looked at each other and sighed in relief. They had talked to each other and discussed how they felt useless for not being able to provide their bosses with help, but now they could give the best support with these Bloodlines.

Only Amanda’s friend looked at Victor.

"Lord Victor, why are their Bloodlines so different? Now Bianca’s Bloodline seems nothing special," Amanda asked Victor.

"Well, about the Metal Bloodline, it’s the Bloodline that everyone who undergoes the Ritual here would awaken, and for these two cases..." Victor paused, pointing to Emily and Sophie. "They were lucky. The records chose these two, as they were the first entrants into the building to awaken unique Bloodlines."

Amanda stared at Victor and did not reply. Did she believe him? Not one bit. She then sighed, as she knew Victor had no intention or obligation to treat Bianca the same as Sophie and Rina, who were his wife’s soldiers and, in a way, his soldiers as well.

"Anyway, do you all want to come along? I am going to demonstrate my new troops," Victor said as the girls looked at each other and followed behind. Even Amanda followed, as Victor did not restrict her.

After Victor arrived at the courtyard, he immediately used one of the Mechanical Life Form — Model: Dragon contracts and activated it. He then watched as a portal suddenly appeared above his head.

The girls who followed them, especially Amanda, shouted.

"Shit! A dungeon break!" Amanda sounded panicked, as she did not know what monsters would come out, but just as she was about to leave with Bianca, she saw all of them unbothered by the danger and instead looking eagerly toward the portal.

Roar!

A roar resounded as a huge steel dragon appeared and immediately started behaving like a puppy toward Victor.

"Huh?" Amanda was dumbfounded as her mouth hung open with sheer disbelief.

Just as Victor was admiring the second steel dragon, a new row of text appeared on his retina.
