Malakai had expected to spend months before he would reach this level. Fifty meters was no easy feat.
With his range of perception this wide, he could wade through battlefields at a speed most couldn’t comprehend. It would improve his chances by a great deal.
Malakai held back his excitement and turned his focus back to his nodes. Now that all seven nodes were complete, he felt a great urge to check his stats and note his changes.
’Manifest.’ A glowing panel ignited in front of him.

Malakai gawked at his status. It was all he could do, to be honest.
His stats had risen beyond what he would ever imagine. His eyes were glued to the total Vita reserve in his body. It had doubled! It was insane.
He’d gained sixteen thousand vita points just like that. If not for the seriousness of the situation, Malakai would have jumped up in excitement.
Then there were his stats.
His strength had spiked, so had his dexterity and all other stats. And even better, Malakai was feeling every bit of the strength he was seeing. It was as though he was looking at a reflection.
Malakai’s eyes lowered until they landed on his node map. His mastery over his blood node had increased significantly, but that wasn’t what caught his attention.
’Muscle node…’ Malakai felt a surge of anticipation roaring through his body. One of the other body nodes had finally been unlocked!
The muscle node. Malakai could still remember his battle with one of their descendants during the Life Essence Trial. The Tauron clan…
Would he also gain the ability to control his muscles like them? The thought filled him with excitement.
’But how do I unlock it?’ he wondered after regaining his composure. This was the most important question.
For the blood node, he’d awakened it the instant he evolved. This was sure to be different.
’I’ll come back to it.’ Malakai decided that getting used to his newly acquired power, for now, was more important than awakening the muscle node.
Malakai closed the panel and jumped down from the tree branch, landing gently on the ground. This time he’d used less force and had been able to pull it off.
He stretched and attempted to free his tensed muscles. The first thing he’d decided to do was get used to his strength and speed.
They were his most important weapons, and understanding them was important for him during battles.
This was easy to achieve and Malakai had done it multiple times before. He ran around the forest and punched trees, taking note of every bit of force he used.
Minutes later, all the sloppiness was gone and he moved as though he’d been moving like this for years. His speed and strength had doubled!
He eventually stopped and shifted his focus to another important aspect. He’d only just noticed this recently.
’The vita… they’re responding to me.’
Though he had been out of it earlier, Malakai still knew what he did. He had manipulated the vita outside his body. It was a notion that shocked him greatly, but it didn’t change the fact that he did it.
Malakai activated his vita field and focused on the vita.
It didn’t take long for him to feel the vita in a fifty meter radius around him. But he took it a step further. He tried to manipulate the vita.
The vita far away from him didn’t respond and neither did the ones closer. But Malakai didn’t give up and kept moving closer and closer until he reached the vita directly in contact with his arm.
They trembled, then responded. They shifted and morphed, until two blades stretched out from his fists.
Malakai opened his eyes at that moment. There was a satisfied smile on his face. What he had just done was… impossible. At least it should be.
Only Blooms should be able to control vita the way he just did. Yet, he was a mere node formation revolver and was doing just that.
He was glad to find it as strong as a grade two vita weapon. Weaker than his grade three weapon, but no grade two should be a match for it.
Malakai stifled his excitement and clenched his fists. ’Renlo.’
That was the only thing on his mind. He had to get Renlo back, and mastering this power would help him achieve that.
Malakai experimented with a few more moves and discovered that he could only control the vita in contact with his body.
He could also manipulate the vita in his body if he wanted. He formed shields, footholds mid air, and even weapons. Though, as he threw them, they vanished from his control and lost all shape.
Eventually, he turned his attention towards another important aspect, his blood node. There was a reason why mostly synergy stage Sanguine, blood champions, could manipulate their blood outside their bodies. It was because their control over vita had gotten to that level.
They might not be able to manipulate the vita itself, but their blood was another thing, easier to control.
But as Malakai could manipulate the vita around his body, he had a great feeling that manipulating his blood wasn’t out of reach.
