Evil MC's NTR Harem

Chapter 1205 Tank

Chapter 1205 Tank

A little while later, Bella and Sebastian were summoned by the commander of the base, leaving Ross behind in the bustling common area.

As they disappeared down the corridor, Ross remained where he was, calmly observing his surroundings.

The base was lively—soldiers chatting, weapons being cleaned, laughter mixing with exhaustion. Before long, a few of them began to notice the strange man wrapped in a dark cloak despite the heat.

"Hey, Ross, what’s up with the attire?" one soldier finally asked, nodding toward the heavy cloak and hood.

"Seriously, take it off. It’s boiling in here," another said, wiping sweat from his forehead.

"Aren’t you burning alive in that thing?" a third added, clearly puzzled.

Ross glanced around, then let out a low chuckle.

"I just got used to hiding during the apocalypse," he replied calmly. "Zombies are dumb in the dark. If you don’t stand out, they usually ignore you."

A few people exchanged looks, some nodding in understanding.

"But since I’m with friends here," Ross continued, his tone relaxing, "I guess I can let my guard down for a bit."

He reached up and slowly pulled back his hood.

Long, well-kept hair fell free, framing a sharp, handsome face that looked completely out of place in a ruined world.

Then he unfastened the cloak and shrugged it off, letting it slide down his shoulders and drop to the floor.

The reaction was immediate.

The surrounding chatter died down as heads turned in his direction.

Conversations stopped mid-sentence. Even a few soldiers cleaning their weapons froze.

"Woah... damn," someone muttered.

"No way..." another whispered.

"How the hell are you that handsome?" a soldier blurted out, staring openly without any shame.

A couple of women laughed in disbelief, while others simply gawked.

Some of the men clicked their tongues or shook their heads, half jealous, half impressed.

"Is this guy even real?" one of them joked.

Ross scratched the back of his head awkwardly, clearly unused to the attention.

Meanwhile, the stunned soldiers continued to stare, their expressions saying the same thing—someone like him didn’t belong in the apocalypse at all.

All the girls immediately zeroed in on Ross, their eyes lighting up as if they had just discovered a rare treasure.

Smiles spread across their faces, some shy, some bold, and before Ross could even take a step back, he found himself surrounded.

"So where did you come from?"

"How old are you?"

"Are you really fighting alone out there?"

Questions flew at him from every direction.

As they spoke, their gazes wandered freely, tracing the sharp lines of his face, the calm confidence in his eyes, and the solid, thick arms that spoke of strength earned through countless battles.

A few of them leaned in a little closer than necessary, laughing softly at his replies, clearly enjoying the attention he drew.

The atmosphere shifted almost instantly.

What had once been casual and friendly turned warm and charged, the air thick with curiosity and admiration.

Off to the side, the men watched the scene unfold with growing regret.

"Fuck... I really should’ve known better," one of them muttered, rubbing his face in frustration.

"Yeah, great job," another whispered bitterly. "Now I’ve completely lost my chance to spend the night with my sweet darling."

A third soldier let out a low sigh. "We should’ve just let him keep the hood and cloak on. This is a disaster."

They grumbled quietly among themselves, throwing jealous glances toward the center of attention.

Ross stood there, answering questions patiently, clearly unaware—or pretending not to notice—how thoroughly he was being inspected from head to toe.

The women barely gave the other men a second glance, fully focused on him as if the rest of the room no longer existed.

Watching the scene, the men could only think the same thing: insisting that Ross reveal himself was the worst mistake they had made all day.

Three hours later, the base had settled into a relaxed rhythm.

The men had eaten their fill, their stomachs satisfied for the moment, and were now passing around the last few bottles of beer they had managed to scavenge.

Laughter and chatter echoed through the hall, mingling with the occasional clatter of utensils and the low hum of conversation about the day’s missions, close calls, and strange encounters with the undead.

The air was warm with camaraderie, a rare reprieve in the harsh world outside the base walls.

Ross leaned against a table, a bottle of beer in hand, casually observing the interactions.

He joined in when a story caught his attention, offering a dry comment here or a sharp observation there.

The others laughed at his wit, forgetting for a moment that this was the apocalypse, forgetting even the fear that normally lingered in the back of their minds.

Somehow, Ross’s presence seemed to make the room feel lighter, easier, almost... normal.

The laughter was suddenly interrupted by the return of Bella and Sebastian.

They moved quickly, their expressions serious, eyes scanning the room with a focused intensity that made several soldiers straighten in their seats.

Even the men who had been joking and teasing moments before fell silent, sensing that something important was happening.

Bella approached Ross directly, her steps purposeful.

"You’re up next," she said, her voice calm but carrying an unmistakable authority. "The base commander wants to see you."

Sebastian stood slightly behind her, pointing down a corridor. "First room on the left," he added, his tone equally serious.

Ross tilted his head slightly, taking in their expressions, but said nothing.

He set his beer down, adjusted his posture, and nodded. "Got it," he replied smoothly.

The noise of the common area faded behind him as he walked down the corridor, each step measured and deliberate.

The closer he got to the designated room, the heavier the silence became, a subtle tension wrapping around him like a thick fog.

He reached the door, paused for a brief moment, and took a slow, steadying breath before knocking lightly.
