Evil Clown Evolution [A VRMMORPG Adventure]
Ch 75 - Elder Bloom Behemoth
The walls of Necroton City trembled violently as the surrounding desert sand and dust were thrown high into the air. From above, the city gate seemed to burst open, spilling countless tiny figures as players poured through the entrance in a desperate rush.
There were far more players than anyone had expected. The presence of the Vesperion members had drawn plenty of attention, prompting players who happened to be in Necroton or the surrounding region to log in and make their way toward the city.
They flooded out of the city and charged forward without hesitation. Some had already taken up positions along the city wall, preparing themselves for whatever was approaching. Meanwhile, the enormous figure in the distance still appeared as nothing more than a massive silhouette, hidden behind towering clouds of swirling sand and dust.
The sight spread across the internet almost immediately as news of the incident exploded everywhere. Countless people quickly tuned into every available live stream that was broadcasting the extraordinary event.
"Damn it... what kind of monster is that? It looks absolutely massive!"
"Is this some kind of special event from the developers? But why is it happening in Necroton? It's just a small city. Why would they choose this place?"
"Wait, wait. Someone just reported that several members of Vesperion Guild have been hanging around this city for the past few days."
"Do you think they already knew this was going to happen? Damn... no wonder they're one of the top guilds. They know things the rest of us haven't even heard about."
"Then what are we waiting for? If Vesperion came all the way out there, the rewards have to be insane!"
Outside Necroton City's outer perimeter, countless players had already spread across the area. Some gathered with their parties or guild members, while others chose to fight alone. Even many of the local residents had gathered nearby, unwilling to miss whatever extraordinary event was about to unfold.
The gigantic figure in the distance took another heavy step.
Its foot slammed into the ground with enough force to shake the entire area as it continued drawing closer.
And then...
Wait...
Why was something else moving beneath that enormous cloud of sand and dust?
What emerged first from the swirling haze was not the colossal figure itself.
Instead, countless smaller creatures burst through the thick cloud at incredible speed, charging from every direction straight toward Necroton.
Every player erupted into loud shouts the moment they saw what was happening.
This was a major world event. A monster raid. A full-scale war.
Without a second of hesitation, the players charged forward to meet the hundreds of incoming monsters.
Through the lingering dust, the creatures appeared almost reptilian, running on two legs with long, razor-sharp claws. Their slightly humanoid bodies rushed forward with savage speed and terrifying ferocity.
"Let's go! First kill is mine!"
"Hahaha! There are hundreds of them! We're going to make a fortune tonight!"
"Stop talking and charge! Don't let the other guilds take all the kills!"
The colossal figure continued marching forward as the swirling sand and dust gradually began to settle, finally revealing its appearance with greater clarity.
It was enormous. Even from this distance, its size was overwhelming. It easily stood dozens of meters tall, and simply looking at it filled everyone with a crushing sense of pressure.
Its body seemed to cling to the ground, as if it barely had any visible legs. Whether its legs were unusually small or its body was simply too massive to notice them, no one could tell. The creature had a broad, heavy shape, almost like an impossibly oversized and overweight cat. However, instead of fur, its entire body was covered in overlapping scales that looked as though they had been formed from thick, hardened leaves.

Several enormous branch-like tentacles extended from around its body. Thick and twisted like the limbs of ancient trees, they dug into the ground before rising and swaying with unnatural life. At the end of each tentacle hung a tightly closed flower bud, its layered petals wrapped together as though waiting for the perfect moment to bloom.
Its head was unlike anything anyone had ever seen. The face was broad and strangely feline in shape, yet it lacked recognizable eyes. Instead, deep grooves ran across its face, while multiple layers of bark-like plates overlapped to form a natural armored mask. Beneath them, an enormous mouth slowly split open from top to bottom, revealing countless rows of jagged, thorn-like teeth hidden inside.
The gigantic monster released a deafening roar that shook the air itself just as the smaller creatures finally crashed into the players.
Calling them small, however, wasn't entirely accurate. Each one stood nearly as tall as a player, making them intimidating opponents even on their own. Now that the battle had begun, everyone could finally make out their true appearance. They weren't giant lizards after all. Their bodies were covered in overlapping, leaf-like scales that formed a layer of living armor, making them seem more like creatures born from beasts and ancient forests than ordinary reptiles.
[Epic Raid Boss - The Elder Bloom Behemoth (Lv. 215)]
The moment the monster's name finally became visible to the players, the true horror of the situation began to sink in.
The streams quickly filled with panicked messages as clips of the battle spread across the internet at incredible speed.
"No way... a Level 215 Elite Raid Boss?! Are the developers actually serious? There aren't nearly enough players at that level to take on something like this!"
"This isn't an event anymore. It's a disaster. Necroton is going to be wiped off the map if that thing reaches the city."
The smaller monsters had already clashed with the players, but they were far stronger than anyone had anticipated. Their levels were terrifyingly high, and entire groups were swept aside within moments. Defensive lines collapsed one after another as players who had rushed in with confidence were overwhelmed by the relentless tide of monsters.
"Look at the casualty feed! Entire parties are getting erased in seconds. Those smaller monsters aren't even the boss, and they're already this terrifying!"
"Someone call every top guild immediately! If nobody stops that monster, this is going to become the biggest catastrophe the game has ever seen."
On one side of the battlefield, amidst the roaring chaos, a figure stepped out from the drifting clouds of dust.
As the haze cleared, a man dressed in a sleek white outfit came into view. A crimson cape attached to his left shoulder billowed violently in the wind, while his long blond braid swayed behind him with every step.
"Don't tell me you were seriously trying to aura farm all by yourself, Siki?"
Another figure appeared not far from him.
He was a shorter young man, only reaching about the first man's shoulder. His short black hair contrasted with the white-and-green armor he wore, giving him a clean yet dependable appearance.
"Hey, don't blame me, Windious. I've just always been this amazing from the very beginning."
A heavy impact landed beside Siki as another figure dropped onto the battlefield.
He was even taller than Siki, wearing sturdy armor with a yellow base reinforced by dark metallic plates. His imposing build alone made him stand out from the rest.
"Do you really think the six of us can defeat this monster?"
Another person calmly walked over and stopped beside Windious.
She was a woman with long black hair tied into a high braid that swayed behind her. A black-and-green set of armor fit tightly around her athletic frame, and a long spear was already resting in her hand as she looked toward the approaching monsters.
"With this many monsters? Today's going to be an absolute feast. I'm about to drown in experience points. I'm going to level up like crazy! Hahaha!"
Clover laughed excitedly, unable to hide the anticipation in her voice.
Another figure stepped up beside Siki.
She was a beautiful young woman with long, straight blond hair flowing behind her. Her elegant crimson robe fluttered fiercely in the wind, while the slit along the left side of her dress shifted with every gust, briefly revealing her thigh beneath the dress woven into her outfit.
"Can we get this over with quickly? I'm really not in the mood for a huge war today."
She spoke with a completely uninterested expression, sounding as though this entire battle was little more than an inconvenience.
Then, from among the group, another figure stepped forward and casually walked past the others until she stood at the very front.
She was a young woman wearing a bright yellow dress with a short mini skirt. Her long hair was styled into two high braids that swayed behind her with every step, giving her an elegant yet lively appearance.
She slowly raised her closed umbrella and pointed it straight ahead.
"And here I thought this city would bore me to death! What a delightful surprise! Just look at the size of that thing! Now this is finally getting interesting! Come, everyone! Let's show the developers that no matter how absurd they make this game, overwhelming levels and an obscene amount of money can solve anything! I don't care how many expensive items I have to burn through. I'll simply buy more! Now, let's tear that oversized weed apart!"
Everyone watching the live broadcast could only stare at their screens in stunned silence. The battlefield had already descended into complete chaos, and the number of players falling continued to rise every second.
"So many players are getting wiped out so easily..."
"Those are mostly lower-level players. They never stood a chance against monsters at this level."
"If even the frontline keeps collapsing like this, won't Necroton fall before the boss even gets there?"
"This raid is completely different from anything we've seen before. Those smaller monsters alone are enough to overwhelm hundreds of players."
"What happens if that Elite Raid Boss actually joins the fight? Nobody has even managed to reach it yet."
"Wait... don't tell me Vesperion Guild only sent six people?"
"Six people? Against a Level 215 Elite Raid Boss? There's no way that's enough."
"I know they're one of the strongest guilds in the game... but can just six players really stop something like that?"
