Chapter 152: A Crushing Victory
The man’s expression twisted with humiliation, but with so many disciples watching, he had little choice. He reluctantly took out the jade box and handed it over.
Long Feng accepted it and turned toward the woman who had proposed the soul-technique competition.
"Now, it’s your turn." The woman’s face stiffened.
She glanced hesitantly at her two companions, both of whom had been defeated in a single move.
Her earlier confidence had nearly vanished, and she began to question whether continuing the competition was truly a wise decision.
After all, Long Feng had done so with such ease that neither man had managed to force him to reveal the full extent of his abilities.
"I think there’s no need for us to compete anymore," she said after a brief hesitation, attempting to maintain a composed expression.
"You’ve already demonstrated your strength. We’ll acknowledge your right to this residence."
She turned slightly, intending to leave before the situation became any more embarrassing.
"Did I say you could leave?"
Long Feng’s expression immediately cooled.
He looked at her without raising his voice, but his words carried a pressure that made it difficult to ignore him.
"You were quite eager to compete when you thought you could take my residence. Now that your companions have lost, you want to leave without honoring your agreement?"
Such direct blant made her expression darkened.
"Long Feng, don’t go too far! I’m a Life and Death Realm cultivator. If you insist on competing, don’t blame me for what happens."
But Long Feng smiled faintly and smile faintly, showing no intention of back off.
"Then begin." The woman finally gritted her teeth.
She had already spoken too boldly to retreat now. If she left without fighting, her reputation among the Core Disciples would suffer.
Even if she lost, she could at least claim that she had attempted to challenge him rather than simply fleeing after seeing her companions defeated.
With that thought, she steadied her breathing and slowly raised her head.
A cold glimmer appeared in her eyes as the power of her soul began to gather. This time, she would not underestimate Long Feng.
Her gaze sharpened. A strange fluctuation spread from her soul, invisible to the naked eye.
It swept toward Long Feng, carrying a subtle force that attempted to draw his consciousness into an illusion.
Her technique was designed to confuse the mind and weaken an opponent’s ability to react. Once the target lost concentration, she could exploit the opening and attack the soul directly.
A faint, soul striking smile appeared on her face.
Coupled with her strikingly defined waist tapers into the bountiful curves of her pear-shaped hips and thighs, it creates a mesmerizing silhouette enough to captivate the heart of any man.
Alas, the man in front of her isn’t just a man, but aDemon!
The moment her soul power touched Long Feng’s Nascent Soul, something unexpected happened.
A terrifying demonic pressure erupted from deep within his soul.
The woman’s smile vanished. Before she could withdraw her spiritual sense, the pressure struck her like an invisible hammer.
"Ahhhh!"
She staggered backward, her face turning pale as a sharp pain pierced her soul. For an instant, her consciousness trembled, and she nearly collapsed.
Long Feng watched her reaction with mild interest.
Trying to attack my soul directly? You certainly have courage.
Within his consciousness, the Soul Domination Seal stirred, releasing a powerful force that pressed against the woman’s already weakened mental defenses.
Her body stiffened as she struggled to resist.
But Long Feng didn’t stop there, what he wants to get is something more.
He quietly circulated the Spring Breeze skill of the Forbidden Yang Sovereign Scripture.
A peculiar aura spread from his body, warm and vibrant, carrying a special Yang energy that was different from ordinary spiritual power.
It seemed gentle at first, almost soothing, yet it possessed a strange influence over the mind and senses.
The woman immediately felt the change.
An unusual warmth spread through her body, and the air around Long Feng seemed to grow hotter.
Her thoughts became unsettled, making it increasingly difficult to maintain the precise control her soul technique required.
She frowned and tried to withdraw, but the combined pressure of Long Feng’s soul power and the peculiar Yang aura disrupted her concentration.
’What’s happening with my body?’
She had prepared herself to resist his soul attack, not expecting him to affect her state of mind in such an unusual way.
The warmth was not the only problem.
The Yang aura seemed to press against her senses from every direction, disturbing the rhythm of her spiritual energy and making her soul power increasingly unstable.
Long Feng’s expression remained calm.
The Yang Sovereign Scripture of Spring Breeze was far more than an ordinary cultivation method.
Its Yang energy could be used in different ways, and when combined with soul power, it could exert a subtle influence on an opponent’s mind and concentration, specially for women.
Against someone whose fighting style depended on maintaining precise control over her soul techniques, that disruption was especially troublesome.
The woman’s resistance began to crumble.
Long Feng stepped aside slightly, catching her by her waist before she could fall face-first onto the ground.
As he pulled her close to steady her, the sudden proximity brought her figure flush against his chest.
He could feel the generous curves beneath her robes, creating a stark contrast to the immense power she had just displayed.
For a fleeting moment, their eyes met, and an unexpected spark of tension lingered between them before he broke the contact.
For a moment, the entire courtyard fell silent. The two defeated men stared at him in disbelief.
They had proposed their own methods of competition, confident that their cultivation and abilities would allow them to prevail. Yet not one of them had managed to defeat Long Feng.
Worse still, he had made each victory look almost effortless.
Long Feng glanced at the woman, whose consciousness was still recovering from the impact of his soul power, then turned toward Xiao Ruo.
"Ruo’er, help her sit down. She needs some time to recover."
Xiao Ruo looked at the woman, then at Long Feng. A faintly curious expression appeared in her eyes, but she followed his instruction without asking questions.
Long Feng turned back toward the two men.
"Now, about the residence..."
His gaze swept over them, and a faint smile returned to his face.
"Since all three of you have lost, I assume you won’t have any objections to my continuing to live here."
The handsome man clenched his fists, but he couldn’t find a reasonable excuse to challenge the result.
After a long silence, he lowered his head slightly.
"...We acknowledge your right to the residence."
Long Feng nodded, apparently satisfied.
"Good. Then I hope this will be the last time we have such a misunderstanding." His words sounded polite, but the meaning behind them was unmistakable.
The three disciples exchanged reluctant glances before finally leaving the courtyard. Although none of them dared to say anything more, the ugly expressions on their faces made it clear that they were far from satisfied with the outcome.
Long Feng watched them disappear into the distance before turning toward Xiao Ruo.
"Let’s go inside."
Xiao Ruo nodded and followed him toward the entrance.
However, before Long Feng could take more than a few steps, a voice suddenly sounded behind him.
"Brother Long, please wait a moment."
Long Feng stopped and turned around.
A man in his thirties was standing several meters away, dressed in the robes of a Core Disciple. He had a tall, sturdy build, sharp features, and a calm expression that contrasted with the arrogance displayed by the three disciples who had just left.
Long Feng’s eyes narrowed slightly as he sensed the man’s aura.
Life and Death Realm!
He glanced around almost imperceptibly, and a faint trace of understanding appeared in his eyes.
So that was it.
He had sensed several powerful auras nearby earlier. At first, he had assumed that the other Core Disciples were simply waiting to see how the dispute over his residence unfolded. Perhaps the three challengers had wanted to test his strength before deciding whether to make a move themselves.
This man, however, had remained hidden until the others departed.
Was he planning to challenge him next?
Long Feng looked at him calmly. "Is there something you need?"
The man seemed to notice the caution in his expression and immediately smiled.
"Brother Long, please don’t misunderstand. I’m not here to challenge you over your residence, nor do I have any intention of fighting you."
Long Feng raised an eyebrow.
"Then what is it?"
The man cupped his hands politely before introducing himself.
"My name is Zhou Ming. I’m a member of the Azure Mountain Guild, one of the larger factions among the Core Disciples of Azura Heaven Sect."
Long Feng’s expression changed slightly.
A guild?
He had heard about such groups before.
Although the sect had its own rules and hierarchy, many Core Disciples formed alliances to support one another, exchange cultivation resources, and cooperate when undertaking dangerous missions.
Some of these groups were little more than small circles of friends, while the strongest had hundreds of members and even attracted True Disciples.
The Azure Mountain Guild sounded like one of the latter.
Zhou Ming continued, "Our guild was established by a powerful Senior Brother who has considerable influence within the sect.
Over the years, we’ve gathered more than a hundred Core Disciples, along with several True Disciples. Our members cooperate in missions, exchange information, and obtain cultivation resources."
He paused briefly before adding with a friendly smile, "Of course, we don’t accept just anyone. Our leader prefers to recruit people with genuine talent and potential."
