These rifts were different from the ones Scorpion-Tailed Demon had made before.
Aiden could only guess their general nature, but he didn’t know the exact function yet. In his mind, the earlier rifts were meant for the Demon to escape, but these new ones were designed to teleport everyone straight into his personal space.
Soon, Aiden noticed something else. The black armor on Scorpion-Tailed Demon was being drenched by the rain and began to glimmer faintly.
From the black armor, countless hair-thin spikes emerged, all aimed directly at his surroundings.
Without any hesitation, Aiden used his Demon Trial Set to summon a Demon.
The summoned creature immediately stepped into one of the space rifts.
Sure enough, the moment they appeared right next to Scorpion-Tailed Demon, those spikes on the black armor shot out like lightning.
It took less than a second for the summoned Demon to crash to the ground, writhing in pain.
“If Demons can be teleported, then my attacks should work too, right?” The thought suddenly struck Aiden.
He immediately aimed at the closest rift and unleashed a Wood Elemental Arrow.
A vivid green Wood Elemental Arrow shot straight into the space rift at incredible speed.
But to Aiden’s surprise, the elemental arrow emerged from a rift near Jenna, hurtling straight at her!
Fortunately, Jenna reacted instantly and dodged just in time.

Even if he stepped through a rift right next to the Demon, he wouldn’t be in danger.
