Chapter 179: Luke Arrives, Aiden’s Little Worry, Reaching the Elephant Empire

Chapter 179: Chapter 179: Luke Arrives, Aiden’s Little Worry, Reaching the Elephant Empire

“Come on, stop worrying. The point of fighting with other top Reclassers is to find your weaknesses, learn from others, and get better,” Gareth said slowly.

This was the first time he had seen Nellie so down.

Even when she had been beaten by the top genius of the Wycliffe Family, she had never asked him this question like this.

It was clear that Aiden had hit her really hard.

That proud girl was now starting to lose her confidence.

“Uncle Gareth, are you not believing in me?” Nellie looked up at the ceiling, trying to stay calm on the outside.

Gareth felt a little helpless. He could only answer, “It’s not that I don’t believe in you. I just think Aiden is smart. He probably has more strong cards left.”

“If you two fought for real, I don’t know who would win.”

“Now, we need to think about something. What if Aiden picks the map piece the family needs during the prize selection?” Gareth felt really regretful.

He had underestimated Aiden’s strength. He never thought Nellie would lose, which is why he let her agree to Aiden’s bet.

“Then give it to him!” Nellie said without hesitation.

“Besides, we only have one map piece. Getting all of them is really hard.”

“If the family is upset or wants to punish us, I’ll take the blame,” Nellie said, turning and walking toward the rest area near the training area.

She just wanted to calm down and try to get rid of the impact Aiden had on her.

Gareth sighed and said, “That’s all we can do. After all, you’re the daughter of the family head. He won’t punish you.”

Nellie wasn’t just any member of the Wycliffe Family. She was the daughter of the current head.

She had many life-saving items on her, but she hadn’t used them in the fight with Aiden.

After all, she was a confident and proud genius.

About an hour later, Aiden came back.

He called everyone together and started explaining the training plan for the next two days.

Nellie was listening, but she didn’t say a word the whole time. She was completely different from her usual proud self.

Aiden was pretty satisfied. As the team leader, his rule was that everyone had to follow his orders.

It wasn’t being a dictator—it was to help the team perform better.

Sometimes, just one or two slow teammates could hand the victory to the enemy.

This happened often, both in games and in real life. Even in politics, it was the same.

Many wins came from catching the enemy’s mistakes.

“You can think of Nellie like the nobles in the Great Shaw Empire. High-level Reclassers like her don’t need much. Just use force and they’ll obey.”

“Jordan and Cici, the hesitant ones, need to see hope.”

“And for Victor and Jade, who are really focused on the goal, you can trust them a bit.”

Aiden looked around at his teammates, but his mind was thinking about something else.

He was just a little touched, and still needed time to think things through.

Victor and the others had no complaints about Aiden’s plan, and soon they all started training.

But just an hour later, Aiden’s phone suddenly rang.

He opened it and saw a message from Luke.

[Aiden, when are you free? I’m going to come see you. It’s about the online rumors.]

Online rumors?

Aiden thought for a second. Luke’s mention of online rumors probably had to do with Calvin and Miles.

He replied quickly, saying he was free now.

Then Aiden opened TikTok and took a quick look.

Sure enough, TikTok was full of videos about that incident with Miles and Calvin.

Even bloggers from other fields, like food cooking streamers, were making videos about it.

Aiden only watched for a little while before letting out a cold laugh.

Because these bloggers claimed to be fair, calm, and rational. They said they were trying to find the truth behind the story.

But they didn’t just talk. They also liked certain comments that were clearly against the Great Shaw Empire and Aiden.

Under their influence, the comments on the videos turned into a big attack on the Great Shaw Empire—and on Aiden himself.

“Fake news isn’t enough. They’re also trying to control the public opinion. If I were just a normal Reclasser, I might already be getting threats from angry online people right now,” Aiden shook his head. He was actually curious about what Luke would say next.

After about twenty minutes, Aiden saw Luke standing at the entrance of the training area.

He and Luke went to the rest area near the training zone.

Luke said directly, “The online rumors are really bad for the Great Shaw Empire—and for you.”

“Even some extreme groups have been created online. People are trying to take revenge on you.”

After saying that, Luke looked at Aiden’s face and noticed that he was unusually calm.

“Are you not surprised? Not worried?” Luke finally asked.

Aiden shook his head. What was there to be surprised about?

“Most people in the world just look normal and can take care of themselves. They can’t tell right from wrong, so things like what you said happen. To me, that’s totally normal,” Aiden said casually.

Luke was shocked for a moment. He thought carefully and realized Aiden was right.

“You came to see me because there’s something important, right?” Aiden asked.

Luke nodded. He said the online rumors were now hurting the reputation of the Great Shaw Empire.

He had also decided not to be the Deputy Guildmaster of the Reclasser Association anymore. He wanted a quieter job so he could spend more time leveling up.

Empress Eira agreed, but with one condition: he had to deal with this first.

That’s why she gave the job to him. He knew a special Reclasser.

This person had both Miko and human blood. They had a special job, not very strong in battle, but perfect for collecting proof.

Luke could take this person to the place where he fought Calvin and reenact what happened.

“JamesLord said that even if we have clear proof, we shouldn’t release it yet. He wants the rumors to keep going for a while,” Luke said, looking at Aiden.

“Of course, it’s up to you. After all, you’re the center of all this. A lot of people are talking about you online.”

At this, Aiden immediately understood James’s plan.

He wanted to use the guilt people would feel when they found out the truth to make Aiden more famous and raise the Great Shaw Empire’s reputation.

Also, James didn’t just tell Luke to do it. He asked Aiden’s opinion first.

Aiden smiled and said, “I don’t have any problem with it.”

“If possible, we can release the truth during the Global Reclasser Exchange Tournament. That would have a better effect.”

Luke looked at Aiden seriously and said, “Okay, I’ll do it your way. I’m going right now!”

Then he turned and left immediately.

Aiden didn’t go back to the training area. Instead, he was thinking about a question.

A human and Miko hybrid who could recreate certain scenes… did that mean Miko themselves had this ability too?

He remembered when he killed Sylvia from an old Miko family in the Miko Temple.

But at the time, Aiden had done some things to make sure there were no clues left.

“Even if it’s real, you have to go into the Miko Temple to recreate what happened.”

“Only Miko who are competing for the Primordial Miko inheritance can enter the temple easily. Others can’t just walk in.”Aiden thought to himself.

Two days later, in the capital of the Elephant Empire.

Aiden and the others followed Atlas as they slowly walked to the front of a five-star hotel.

“We’re here. This is where the Elephant Empire has arranged rooms for all the competitors.”

“Each of you gets a luxury suite. Each floor has special staff to help with most of your needs.”

“Go get your key cards now. You can rest or go out and explore. The Elephant Empire has a lot of nice local things to see.”

Atlas talked as he led Aiden and the others into the hotel and to the lobby.

Before even reaching the front desk, Atlas stopped and narrowed his eyes, looking at a few people ahead.

“Isn’t that Miles?” Victor whispered.

The people ahead were the competitors from the Azurecloud Empire. And leading them was Calvin, who had just gotten back to normal.

Calvin slowly turned and immediately locked his eyes on Aiden.

“Aiden!” Calvin’s face turned dark. His voice was full of anger.

Back in the Sanctum of the Fallen Gods, he had been badly hurt by Aiden, which made him unable to fight the Three-Headed Serpent.

That day, the Azurecloud Empire lost a lot of their top Reclassers. Only after a big fight did he, Miles, and Sophia manage to escape.

“Damn it, how dare you show your face in front of me!” Calvin was furious. His power suddenly surged.
