Chapter 2877: 1575: Despair and Turnabout (Part 2)
Capítulo 2877: Chapter 1575: Despair and Turnabout (Part 2)
To think that they had just been in the dark underground temple, where is this place? They couldn’t even feel the slightest hint of illusion magic.
“This is the opponent’s spiritual space. It’s hard to explain, but you can think of it as a combination of a barrier area and an illusion realm, driven by the opponent’s spiritual power.”
Leo Ray’s expression remained calm as he nodded to Lena and Xiaofan.
After meeting with the sand-robed old man, Leo Ray had gained some understanding of this special space.
“So, this is a special space created by that mysterious being, and we were sucked into it?”
Lena’s fair face was full of disbelief as she looked at Xiaofan in shock.
You must know that even a normal barrier area requires a multitude of mages led by a strong space series expert and using thousands or even tens of thousands of advanced magic barriers and high-quality magic crystals to carefully construct a complete domain.
But the opponent created a similar physical space using only spiritual power, something unheard of! This is likely something only a deity could do.
As Lena and Xiaofan were in shock, the formerly calm sea suddenly erupted with towering waves, the sudden wave being so enormous that it blotted out the sky, and the sound of the tumultuous water was like thunder, transforming the entire scene into an apocalyptic sight.
The next moment, the massive wave abruptly disappeared, and where it had risen, a small island appeared, upon which stood the “Old Fishman King.”
His aged face twisted into a sinister cold smile as he said grimly, “I didn’t expect you, kid, to know about spiritual spaces. Have you encountered others of my kind before?”
His voice suddenly became sharper, interrogating, “Quickly tell me, where are my kind? Or don’t blame me for being ruthless!”
“Don’t dream, do you think I fear you?”
Leo Ray stared at him expressionlessly and said calmly, “In the end, you’re just a fragment of life essence from that once vast body, probably not even a tenth or a thousandth of your original power. What is there to boast about?”
“Kid, you have indeed encountered others of my kind.”
The “Old Fishman King” looked Leo Ray up and down, coldly saying, “But it seems you still don’t understand your situation.”
“Admittedly, my current strength is extremely limited. I can’t even manipulate the waves like before to devour you in this spiritual space.”
The “Old Fishman King” shrugged, his voice turning sinister, “But trapping you is still easy. Without you providing power, those strong ones outside will soon be wiped out by my Guardians of Devouring.”
Hearing this, Lena and Xiaofan, who were just getting used to this strange space, felt a chill down their spines.
He’s right; the only reason we managed to push forward all the way to the core of the temple and face the opponent head-on was due to the special power shared by Your Majesty of the Humans.
Now, with Your Majesty of the Humans trapped in this bizarre space, aren’t the other strong ones outside doomed?
Once all the strong outside fall, the opponent can easily deal with the three of us.
With this realization, Lena and Xiaofan both turned pale, a look of despair on their faces. In such a situation, they couldn’t think of any way to reverse the situation.
In despair, they unconsciously looked at Leo Ray.
This young Emperor of the Human Race was undeniably their last hope, but facing reality, did we really have any hope of tipping the scales of victory?
“So this is your plan.”
Leo Ray’s expression remained unchanged as he said lightly, “Unfortunately, your hopes are going to fall through.”
“Kid, you’re still bluffing even now. You’re a bit stronger than these foolish Fishmen, but that’s all.”
The “Old Fishman King” cast a contemptuous glance over, unrestrained, “Actually, your previous action wasn’t wrong. That’s indeed where my life essence’s weak point lies, but unfortunately, even if it’s my most vulnerable cartilage, without your special power augmenting it, those outside scumbags still can’t harm me one bit!”
With that, the “Old Fishman King” laughed hysterically, full of arrogance.
Hearing this, Lena and Xiaofan could only bite their lips, powerless.
We were so close to defeating him earlier, but it was all for nothing?
“I’m sorry, Your Majesty of the Humans, it’s my fault for implicating you…”
In despair, Lena continuously apologized to Leo Ray in her heart; this was all she could do now.
Next to her, Xiaofan felt the same, looking at Leo Ray with a face full of remorse.
At first, she thought this young Emperor of the Human Race was just reckless, but now it seemed his courage and wisdom were something beyond her reach.
It’s a pity that realizing this now was too late; she couldn’t even properly apologize to Your Majesty of the Humans.
As Lena and Xiaofan’s despair grew stronger, they were surprised to see that Leo Ray still looked extremely calm, a composed and unaffected demeanor.
“Could it be that Your Majesty of the Humans still has a way to reverse the situation?!”
Seeing this, Lena and Xiaofan’s eyes lit up, but soon dimmed again, as they both shook their heads, “But how is that possible?”
“Kid, you’re still pretending.”
The “Old Fishman King” looked scornful, with a hint of frustration.
He had planned to see Leo Ray panic and embarrass himself by begging for mercy, but unexpectedly, the latter was still obstinate!
“I said before, you won’t succeed.”
Leo Ray’s voice remained calm as he cast a casual glance at the opponent.
“Kid, in my opinion, you’re just a dead duck with a hard mouth.”
The “Old Fishman King” grimaced again, saying fiercely, “Don’t worry, once I deal with those bothersome pests outside, it will soon be your turn.”
After saying this, the “Old Fishman King” laughed wildly again, his piercing laugh echoing through the heavens and earth, causing the surrounding waves to surge, an extremely shocking scene.
But just after a moment of laughter, his voice suddenly stopped.
Without any warning, the “Old Fishman King’s” expression twisted again, but this time it was filled not with arrogance, but with shock and despair.
“How is this possible?! I clearly trapped this kid here, so why can those pests outside still hurt me?!”
The “Old Fishman King’s” body began to tremble, his muddied eyes fixed on Leo Ray, and he cried out hysterically, “Kid, what exactly did you do?!”
“It’s simple, there’s more than one of me that can harm you. There are other strong ones, and ironically, you brought in the weakest of us.”
Leo Ray coldly stared at him and said indifferently, “You’ve been unrestrained here for a century. It’s time you paid the price.”
The other strong ones Leo Ray mentioned were naturally Fei’er and Elder Bing.
You see, they are both Chosen Sons of God from the Silver Moon Era, truly blessed by the deity as strong individuals.
There was no need to mention Half-step Tier 7 Fei’er, who could easily handle the Kira and Lila sisters alone, and even though Elder Bing’s power wasn’t as strong as before, his use of the Power of Divine Grace was evidently stronger.
The reason I didn’t let them show themselves sooner was exactly to prevent incidents like this.
“This, how can this be…”
The “Old Fishman King” quickly staggered, collapsing to his knees, looking exhausted and severely injured.
This all happened so suddenly that Lena and Xiaofan didn’t even have time to react before the situation was completely reversed.
