Capítulo 2852: Chapter 1562: A Scene in the Reception Hall (Part 2)
Before the other party could finish speaking, a tall figure had unknowingly bypassed the blocking strongmen of the Throne Corridor and administered two Healing Magic Potions to the two dying Stone Giant attendants.
Needless to say, the one treating the Stone Giant attendants was undoubtedly Leo Ray.
With the support of the Healing Magic Potion, the pallid faces of the two Stone Giant attendants soon regained color, and even their breathing stabilized.
Immediately after, a wave of Space Series energy rippled out, and before the crowd could react, Moli, who was beside Leo Ray, transported the two Stone Giant attendants away.
“Who is this kid?”
Nox’s gaze turned even more sinister as he spoke to Lila, “Lord Clan Leader, your Stone Giants really enjoy playing the game of pretending to be weak vermin.”
From the other party’s disdainful tone, it was evident they mistook Leo Ray and his companions as Stone Giants using Transformation Type Items.
Continuing on, Nox’s voice turned sharp as he said sternly, “Did this emissary permit you to send those two dogs away?”
With his words, a group of black-armored strongmen immediately surrounded Leo Ray, all looking ready to kill.
“This…”
Witnessing this, Lila and the Stone Giants became somewhat flustered.
Prior to entering here, Leo Ray had instructed them not to reveal their identities to the other party, advising them to go with the flow, but they didn’t know to what extent that meant.
However, it was certain if Leo Ray hadn’t acted in time, the two young attendants wouldn’t have survived.
“What do you want to do?”
Leo Ray directly ignored these black-armored strongmen surrounding him and glanced at the emissary of the Throne Corridor.
Having promised Lila and the others to stand for the Stone Giants, he naturally wouldn’t hold the Throne Corridor’s emissary in high regard.
“Such an ignorant fool!”
Veins popped on Nox’s face as he ordered the surrounding black-armored strongmen, “Teach this kid a lesson for me!”
Since Leo Ray and his companions deliberately concealed their power, Nox didn’t know their strength. Having been reckless since becoming an emissary, he wouldn’t tolerate anyone challenging his authority; it was unsurprising this situation unfolded.
However, as Nox’s voice fell, those black-armored strongmen who had been boasting earlier remained in their spots as if they hadn’t heard the order.
“You useless lot, why are you dawdling?”
Nox was initially taken aback, then realized the enforcers he brought were unusually stiff, clearly bound by some spell!
“Space Binding?!”
Recalling the teleportation earlier, he looked closely and indeed found slight spatial distortion around the enforcers, immobilizing them.
“Rebellion, rebellion! How dare you lay hands on the Throne Corridor’s people?”
Nox’s demeanor deflated, shocked beyond measure.
All along, being an emissary of the Throne Corridor, he exuded an air of borrowed power wherever he went, demanding even clan leaders show deference; how could he have encountered a situation like this?
Perplexed, Nox’s suspicious gaze fell on Leo Ray.
In the past decade, the Stone Giants always acted submissively, not daring to offend him in the slightest; why had they suddenly dared take such audacious action?
“Kid, who exactly are you?”
Nox’s gaze grew even darker as he questioned Leo Ray again.
“You have two choices before you now.”
Leo Ray didn’t answer but stated calmly, “First, explain your intentions; second, I hope you can endure a bit during interrogation, and then tell me your intentions.”
“Y-you’re threatening this emissary?”
Beads of sweat emerged on Nox’s forehead, chilling his spine.
In Leo Ray’s gaze, he saw not only non-negotiable determination but also undeniable killing intent, clearly indicating the former wasn’t bluffing, but a do-or-die type.
“My patience is limited.”
Leo Ray pulled a chair to sit down, incidentally kicking over several black-armored strongmen bound tight in place, an immensely powerful aura surged forth.
“This is precisely the purpose of this emissary’s visit!”
Seeing Leo Ray seated, Nox hurriedly took out a parchment with embellished gold edges.
The parchment’s end bore an emerald seal intertwining a throne and maze — the emblem of the Throne Corridor.
Originally intending to cough pompously, showcasing his emissary’s prestige, but upon meeting Leo Ray’s squinting eyes, he instinctively sprang from his high seat and trotted over to Leo Ray.
Despite being a genuine half-step Seventh Stage strongman, faced with Leo Ray’s full power, the enigmatic Moli and Fei’er, and the Stone Giants including Lila, he knew he had no chance of resisting.
Witnessing this, Lila and the Stone Giants all appeared invigorated.
For over a decade, they always treaded cautiously, helplessly obeying these high and mighty figures, yet with His Majesty’s arrival, roles reversed entirely, making the other side bow — a daring act they longed for but didn’t dare undertake!
“In the name of the great Master of the Corridor, the Broken Wing King…”
Nox’s Adam’s apple moved, his voice totally without its usual arrogance, speaking softly: “Summons Stone Giant’s leader Lila to attend a meeting at the Throne Corridor Headquarters, dated in one day.”
“You’re inviting us to a meeting?”
Lila first froze, then blurted, “What kind of meeting?”
“Lord Clan Leader, this is hardly something known to a lowly messenger like me.”
Nox’s tone towards Lila was no longer arrogant, chuckling wryly, “I’m just here to relay orders, nothing more.”
“Now you acknowledge being just a messenger? Where’d your hubris go?”
Kira instinctively moved closer to Leo Ray, then snorted disdainfully.
“Haha, Grand Elder, what you say is true, I was ignorant and reckless.”
Nox first glanced at Leo Ray, then nodded in agreement.
“Your Excellency, I’ve conveyed my task, so I won’t disturb you further.”
Nox ingratiatingly smiled at Leo Ray, pointing to the black-armored henchmen kicked around earlier, “Look…”
Yet Leo Ray remained indifferent, still showing a contemplative demeanor.
With the meeting set for the next day, certainly, it marked the prelude to Leo Ray’s confrontation with his opponent.
Therefore, he must quickly uncover the meeting’s agenda and make some minor preparations.
Seeing Leo Ray unresponsive, Nox couldn’t care less about his minions, tightly clenched his teeth, and prepared to sneak away.
As he turned around, a faintly discernible chill arose on his emaciated face, planning to exaggerate this matter to the Broken Wing King upon returning to the Throne Corridor; by then, both this unknown kid and the Stone Giants would be in deep trouble!
Still reflecting, a calm voice suddenly echoed behind him, “Did I say you could leave?”
“Your Excellency, anything else?”
Nox paused, turned back to Leo Ray.
“Since you’ve finished your business, now mine should begin.”
Leo Ray rubbed his fists, slowly approaching the trembling Nox, calmly saying: “Nothing much, just intend to teach your master’s disobedient lackeys a lesson.”
As Leo Ray’s words fell, the Reception Hall filled with cries of anguish, the scent of blood permeating.
