Chapter 2719: 1493: The Depths of the Cave (Part 2)
Capítulo 2719: Chapter 1493: The Depths of the Cave (Part 2)
Kara bowed to Leo Ray once more and summarized, “This is the entire sequence of events.”
“Human Clan… ahem, Your Majesty, it’s indeed possible to transmit magic communication through the teleportation array.”
Moli, clearly accommodating Leo Ray’s dignity, deliberately used a respectful title, nodding slightly, “Even if one end of the array has stopped operating, it doesn’t necessarily mean the other end is in the same condition; theoretically, one-way transmission is very possible.”
“I hold the same opinion.”
Leo Ray nodded, his brows furrowed slightly, “The key is, where did this magic communication originate from? Was it intentional or accidental? If it was intentional, what message was the other party trying to convey?”
“Your Majesty is right; that place is a deserted and unknown relic, so how could magic communication originate from there?”
Old Nick opened his eyes wide and blurted out, “Could it be… it’s…”
Upon hearing this, Leo Ray merely patted Old Nick’s shoulder without letting him continue. It was clear Old Nick wanted to say it was “Corrosion,” but for him, that was a tremendous challenge.
“No matter what, this is precisely what we need to figure out next.”
Leo Ray took over the conversation and spoke to everyone, “Whether it’s intentional or not, hostile or not, nothing can halt our progress.”
Upon hearing Leo Ray’s words, everyone appeared invigorated and nodded in agreement.
As they spoke, the group had already passed through the fortress and reached the valley.
Under Kara’s guidance, it didn’t take long for Leo Ray to arrive at the mouth of the cave.
The area was heavily guarded, with fully armed soldiers standing everywhere; a large campsite was even established around it, completely surrounding the entrance.
At the cave entrance, a large stone door was erected, blocking it tightly.
Seeing this, Leo Ray couldn’t help but sigh a little.
Not only the second-line soldiers under his command, but even the powers from the Outer Region, and even the Giant Dragon, were helpless against “Corrosion,” and he had informed everyone about the terrifying nature of “Corrosion.”
Despite this, the soldiers showed no sign of fear, their faces full of resolve, even though they knew that in case of sudden changes, their existence might only buy a little time.
As he sighed, Leo Ray’s gaze fell on Old Nick nearby. Facing the nightmare of the past, even though Old Nick was trembling slightly, his old face was still full of determination.
“With so many brave warriors standing behind me, how can I not move forward?”
Thinking this in his heart, Leo Ray signaled the accompanying strongmen to prepare for battle, and then nodded to Kara, “Alright, open the door.”
“As you command, Your Majesty.”
Kara pressed a hand to her chest in salute and, along with the gatekeeping soldiers, opened the door, revealing the dark mouth of the cave to everyone.
“There are many uncertainties on this journey; a few of you come with me inside, while the other soldiers stay here.”
Leo Ray nodded to Asher Porter, Kara, Calvin, and Old Nick and then took the lead, heading into the cave with Moli and the accompanying strongmen.
Upon entering the cave, Leo Ray observed further.
The place seemed no different from an ordinary cave; occasionally, one could see footprints left by Demon Beasts and spider webs, but the entire cave exuded an inexplicable coldness, the temperature noticeably lower than outside.
The sound of their footsteps echoed inside the cave, and it didn’t take long to reach the deepest part of the cave.
The space was quite open, illuminated by dazzling magic spheres, dispelling the darkness, creating the impression of safety, except for a faint stench, clearly left by previous Demon Beasts.
“Your Majesty, this is where the teleportation array was located, also serving as the Demon Beasts’ storage!”
Old Nick, standing by an entrance, spoke to Leo Ray with a slight tremor in his voice.
“Let me have a look.”
Leo Ray gestured for Old Nick to stand behind him and was the first to enter the storage room.
Looking around, there seemed to be nothing special, except at the far end of the room, where deep magic patterns were visibly engraved on the floor, the area around it meticulously clean.
“It truly is a long-abandoned teleportation array!”
Moli’s petite figure flashed, appearing at the far end of the storage room, bending down to investigate.
Seeing this, Kara, Calvin, and the others exchanged glances. Moli had donned her hood again, her voice becoming hoarse, so no one knew her true identity. But her incredibly swift actions suggested she was a spatial-type expert.
It must be said, Your Majesty’s subordinates were full of hidden talents.
However, this ancient array was a mysterious artifact of the ancient past, intricate and elusive, staring at it for too long could make one dizzy. Could it really be reactivated?
As the thought occurred to them, Moli raised her head and said to Leo Ray, “Your Majesty of the Humans, I was right all along. While this side of the teleportation array is completely defunct, the other end remains somewhat functional. Although transmission isn’t possible, transferring energy waves like magic communication is still achievable!”
“Excellent, can this side be reactivated?”
Leo Ray nodded slightly and asked.
“A minor issue, though ancient, this array’s just the work of some kids; deciphering it’s a piece of cake.”
The pink-hooded figure glanced at Broy and Konet, the accompanying Dwarf Elf experts, with a confident tone.
“Huh? So this is the ancient relic left by our ancestors?”
Broy scratched his head, looking completely surprised.
Leo Ray, however, nodded meditatively. Speaking of which, the Dwarf Elf’s Eternal Night Magic Box was also found near Viennas City, in a Dwarf Elf relic.
So, seeing as this place was also a Dwarf Elf relic, wasn’t surprising.
Just as this thought crossed Leo Ray’s mind, he saw Moli make a few casual strokes on the ground. A strong energy wave surged out, and a shimmering gray teleportation gate appeared before everyone.
Immediately, the shimmering, water-like gray light from the portal filled the cave with ripples, astonishing everyone present.
Especially Kara and the others, their eyes widened in amazement. They never expected that this ancient array could be deciphered so swiftly!
Standing beside Kara and the others, even the accompanying Grey Elder shared the same look of amazement.
In the past, the Mercenary Guild had exhausted all their talents, yet they still had no solution, not even a clue. But this pink-hooded individual was truly formidable, their knowledge exceptionally profound.
Amazing as it was, everyone’s eyes shifted back to Leo Ray, their expressions filled with excitement.
Even such an unfathomable expert was clearing the path for His Majesty, proving once again that His Majesty was extraordinary!
“Heh, am I not amazing?”
Feeling the eyes upon her, Moli put her hands on her hips, sounding quite satisfied with herself.
“Amazing, absolutely amazing, I hope you maintain this.”
Leo Ray smiled lightly, flipping his palm, revealing Rolanddel, and then addressed everyone, “Alright, it’s time to uncover everything.”
With that, Leo Ray stepped into the teleportation gate, surrounded by the others.
