Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong

Chapter 2349: 1303: Current Situation and Progression

Chapter 2349: Chapter 1303: Current Situation and Progression

“At that time, I witnessed thick dark clouds filled with lightning and thunder spreading over the entire Mountain Forest Secret Realm with the speed of a violent storm. The rapidly expanding dark clouds soon obscured the sky, plunging the earth into darkness, as if the black night had descended upon the dawn sky once more.”

Lis sat leaning against the broken wall of the ruined wooden house, holding a juice cup visibly too large for her petite frame, her voice trembling even more.

“In the sudden darkness, the air not only became thinner, but inexplicable fragmented scenes started appearing around us—blindingly bright and intermittent, looking shattered. They were horrifying scenes of the wood fairies undergoing a baptism of blood and fire.”

“Burning treehouses, smoke rising everywhere, corpses littered the ground, incomplete wings, and the ground soaked with bright red and black viscous fluid. This scene was completely different from the Red Dragon’s rampage years before, with no fierce flame in sight, only black bubbling corrosive liquid and a faint stench wafting through the air.”

“At first, we thought it was a Mirage produced spontaneously by the Dimensional Storm, or some sort of illusion intended to instill fear in us. We quickly realized there was no illusion technique aura around, and the emblems of the wood fairies in the scene were completely different from ours. Those fellow beings perishing in smoke and war flames were not from the Peak Forest Mystery. It seemed to be a projection of an actual scene from somewhere else.”

“We could be certain that on this familiar land, apart from us, there wasn’t another group of wood fairies matching the scale seen in the scene. Nonetheless, this dreadful scene of intertwined destruction and death reminded us of the scorching calamity from hundreds of years ago.”

“Although wood fairies fear no strong enemies, the nightmare-like scene came too suddenly, catching us off guard, leaving us utterly confused about what was happening.”

Lis wiped her cheeks blackened by the smoke and continued describing.

“As these happened in the blink of an eye, the scenes, which lasted only a few seconds, quickly vanished, and even the dark clouds looming over the city in the sky disappeared. Sunlight re-emerged on the earth, and everything seemed to return to normal.”

“But just as I sighed in relief, a strong spatial wind suddenly swept over like a mountain collapse or tsunami, causing the surrounding space to distort rapidly.”

“Accompanied by a flash of dazzling gray light, before I could comprehend what had happened, I and my patrolling comrades found ourselves in this destroyed and unfamiliar fellow village.”

Jasper Richardson’s exquisitely shaped face showed an even greater look of astonishment as they listened to Lis, nodding thoughtfully.

Dark clouds over the city, thunder and lightning, and thin air—all three perfectly fit the initial characteristics of a Dimensional Storm.

But this period would generally last for at least a few days, progressing nowhere near as swiftly, and such a broad coverage is unheard of.

Moreover, the Mirages that often accompany Dimensional Storms were transformed into a projection of the actual scene on the teleportation destination side this time, which is starkly different from typical Dimensional Storms.

Additionally, the phenomena of dark clouds over the city and the like in common Dimensional Storms would persist till mid to late stages, and wouldn’t dissipate so quickly, leading us to not suspect a Dimensional Storm at all when we arrived.

Most crucially, Dimensional Storms do indeed randomly generate some teleportation gates, but they would only lead to nearby regions. Here, however, a teleportation gate to another sector opened directly, and it was even a passive teleportation, which is utterly unheard of.

Thinking of this, Jasper Richardson couldn’t help but utter, “It seems this is an undocumented variant of a Dimensional Storm.”

“Or rather, a variant Dimensional Storm that has never occurred before.”

Leo Ray continued the thread, summarizing, “It seems to have forcibly connected two sectors, yet it remains in an unstable state; otherwise, the moment we stepped into the Mountain Forest Secret Realm, we should have been passively teleported here.”

“I also agree with Your Majesty of the Humans’ view.”

Shuert nodded, his face solemn, “No matter what, since it’s a Dimensional Storm, there is bound to be a core of the Dimensional Storm; destroying it should bring an end to all of this.”

“That’s right. If this continues to expand, no one knows what will happen, but it is certain that at the end of every Dimensional Storm lies only destruction.”

Konet’s face was filled with resoluteness, echoing the sentiment.

“It seems we have clarified the situation before us.”

Leo Ray nodded slightly, though his heart remained filled with questions.

Though saying so, how exactly did this strange Dimensional Storm form, whether there’s a human factor involved, and whether it has any connection to future sector wars—all remain unknown.

If it’s just an extremely accidental and rare event, it would be somewhat easier to discuss.

But if it’s a prelude to sector wars, then it’s likely to continue occurring in the future, and at such a speed that it will catch our defenses off guard.

“But it is certain that, even if it’s a prelude to sector wars, it won’t just happen to me; it must occur in every sector.”

“Since everyone will encounter it, there’s nothing to worry about. Even if it happens again, as long as there is the Land of Divine Favor’s Magic Sandbox monitoring, I will detect anomalies at the first opportunity, possibly gaining some advantage over the other side’s opponent.”
