Chapter 2263: Chapter 1258: Lord and Another Lord_2
Then, with a sudden ferocious expression, he coldly said to the maids, who were still in shock, “Aren’t you going to clean all this up quickly?”
After speaking, he stepped over the unconscious head maid and swaggered out the door.
“You, the one from the other realm, I hope you hold on until the realm war arrives, until the moment you encounter this lord, I will show you what true despair really means.”
The robust lord pushed open the mansion’s grand doors, the radiant sunlight casting an ever more twisted but handsome face, while the guards at the gate immediately knelt in terror, not daring to rise until the lord had walked far away.
“Oh, you still don’t know about the truth behind ten billion lords’ arrival, do you? That is truly a magnificent thing, I hope by then you do not feel despair and fear, for that would be too dull.”
Thinking this in his mind, the robust lord laughed heartily as he walked towards a miracle structure that housed a gigantic teleportation gate.
…
After dealing with the routine matters of the day, Leo Ray soon appeared in the main hall on the first floor of the mansion.
The expansive room had been newly adorned by Old Steward Warren Dexter and four others, and even the marble floors had been repolished, noticeably shinier.
“Good morning, my lord!”
Upon seeing Leo Ray’s silhouette, Warren and the maids immediately placed their hands on their chests in salute, and a cup of hot tea was respectfully handed to Leo Ray.
“Rise, no need for so many formalities.”
Leo Ray took the cup, nodded to Warren and the servants, and said, “I owe a lot to you all during this period. Just a few people taking care of such a large mansion; I have been busy with the war and neglected that your workload increases as the mansion upgrades.”
Saying this, Leo Ray turned to the old steward and continued, “Especially you, Warren, responsible for the territory’s logistics; it must be quite demanding, right? It’s because of your meticulous care of the territory that I can move forward without worries.”
“You overpraise us, my lord. This is merely what we subordinates ought to do.”
Warren, together with the maids, waved modestly and then solemnly said, “Ensuring the lord’s castle is spotless is our duty; it’s nothing major.”
“Even duties should be fulfilled within one’s limits. You all are indispensable to the territory, and keeping an eye on your well-being is also my Lord’s obligation.”
Leo Ray sipped the tea, smiling at the old steward, “With this next summoning of new subordinates, I hope to recruit a professional servant team. If not, I’ll have Roger and them take off their armor and serve under you as butlers.”
“My lord, please don’t joke. Those muscle enthusiasts are all tall and robust, they can’t fit into the servants’ clothes.”
Warren’s old face also showed a smile and quickly waved his hand, “There aren’t even any suitable brooms for them here.”
After speaking, the old steward composed himself and began listing the dishes and confirming Leo Ray’s schedule for the day.
According to the plan, today’s main tasks are twofold: welcoming new forces to the territory and redeveloping the land.”
Leo Ray nodded slightly, asking, “Has the food for the new colleagues been prepared?”
“Yes, my lord, Rudy and the others have almost finished the preparations.”
Warren placed his hand on his chest and replied promptly.
“Very well, let’s go take a look then. As the population of the territory grows, I’m curious if Rudy and the Farmer Squad handling the cooking can manage the meals for so many new subordinates. After all, I require not just full meals, but quality ones.”
Leo Ray said this while pushing open the Lord’s Mansion’s doors.
Seeing their lord’s figure, a patrolling Radiant Guard squad saluted respectfully at the entrance.
Leo Ray gently patted the shoulder armor of the guard captain to show encouragement and nodded, signaling the saluting guards to continue their duties.
Before long, as customary, Leo Ray had the subordinates line up neatly before the three miracle structures to prepare for the summoning.
“It’s truly a long-awaited scene.”
In the brilliant sunlight, Leo Ray gazed at the resplendent miracle buildings mingling with the exotic equipment on the subordinates, casually waved his hand, and placed 1000 sparkling Tier 3 Recruitment Orders on the long table prepared beforehand.
“Let’s start by summoning a regiment of Tier 3 subordinates. This will be my first luxurious summoning of its kind.”
Looking at the metallic sheen of the recruitment orders, a hint of expectation surfaced on Leo Ray’s face.
If I can summon a well-coordinated, structured Tier 3 force, it would be the best outcome.
“However, a regiment of Tier 3 strength is something no nation in the Human World could fully muster before, can they really be summoned successfully?”
A trace of doubt crossed Leo Ray’s eyes as he used the 1000 Tier 3 Recruitment Orders.
Shimmering gates instantly appeared, filling the space before Leo Ray completely.
The dazzling brilliance made the already radiant territory even more splendid and blinding, leaving one in awe.
Leo Ray narrowed his eyes, witnessing this thrilling scene, his heart joyful and invigorated.
Behind these gates stood 1000 long-awaited new subordinates, who, after accepting the summoning, swore to fight for him and signed the Master-Servant Contract.
They didn’t even know what he looked like, nor did they know what they would face under his leadership, but they came anyway.
“Whether they have reached their wits’ end or yearned for a new life, since they accepted the summons to come to my territory, I will not fail any one of them, as they come with hope and with dreams for the future.”
“I will arrange everything for them, provide them with all that they could never achieve in their lifetime, as they are about to fight for me, guarding this crucial stronghold.”
“As long as my steps do not falter, everything they need will not be destroyed, until the end of time.”
Just as Leo Ray thought of this, the dazzling golden brilliance began to fade, the golden portals gradually turned ethereal and transformed into ever-weaker golden energy particles, until they merged entirely into the air.
Before Leo Ray, robust silhouettes exuding a remarkable aura became clearer.
However, when Leo Ray saw the faces of the new subordinates, a look of confusion appeared on his face, not only on Leo Ray himself, but even amongst the other welcoming subordinates, all looked at each other in disbelief.
Each of these new subordinates, though of remarkable aura and indeed at Tier 3, was clad in thin, tight-fitting attire, holding no weapons.
Looking so disheveled, they resembled a band of struggling refugees, with many still panting heavily, clearly contrasting with the fully armed, heroic image everyone imagined.
“Even that reckless Scarlett merely forgot her weapon; this scenario is indeed unexpected.”
Leo Ray smiled helplessly and continued to observe.
The newcomers quickly gathered under the command of their respective commanders, within moments, a company of new subordinates was assembled.
Seeing the new subordinates’ swift movements and orderly ranks, Leo Ray nodded with satisfaction.
From their movements alone, it was evident this was a well-trained force, and as for equipment, that was clearly not an issue for him.
“What intrigues me is what could have possibly occurred for them to arrive so disheveled in response to the summoning?”
Just as Leo Ray found himself puzzled, a middle-aged commander approached, running towards Leo Ray with a fully sincere and humble expression.
