Chapter 2248 1250: Three Reasons (Part 2)
“Nowadays, the quality and quantity of strong individuals in the Human Clan have both drastically declined, and the advantage of secondary powerful beings has long vanished.”
“And as for those long-living races, their strong individuals at each tier are bound to significantly outnumber those of the Human Clan due to their lengthy lifespans, not to mention those advanced attack and defense methods such as the high-tier Magic Cannon and Magic Traps. This is a disparity that current human numbers cannot possibly bridge.”
After Fei’er finished speaking, the two elder presidents who understood the chasm appeared as an insurmountable gap also unconsciously nodded along.
“I know the concerns in each of your hearts.”
Leo Ray simply maintained a faint smile and said, “Before discussing anything else, I want to introduce someone to you.”
As soon as Leo Ray finished speaking, the doors of the conference hall opened, and a slender figure exuding an immense aura appeared at the doorway. This was none other than Elusa, who had recently advanced to become a Tier 5 Powerhouse following Ariel Watson and Scarlett.
For this skilled Illusion Master of the Coldflame Kingdom court, everyone present was quite familiar, but they didn’t understand Leo Ray’s sudden purpose for summoning her.
Only Teresa, representing the Moon Palace Holy Maiden, along with Ariel Watson and several other core subordinates, appeared to realize something.
When Elusa came beside Leo Ray, her long and slender form as the human female mage image instantly vanished into the wind with a sweep of gray mist, replaced by a petite and delicate figure.
The delicate face of the petite figure was extremely fair, with long, pointed ears protruding from her soft gray-white hair, revealing Elusa’s true appearance.
“So Brocade Winthrop is a Dark Elf?”
Seeing these highly distinctive features, the experienced Yonir was taken aback and couldn’t help but blurt out.
Grey Elder and New King Willy of Saint Night immediately reacted as well, opening their eyes wide.
“Indeed, she is a Dark Elf. As for my purpose in revealing her, it is solely to explain the prophecy concerning the Great Catastrophe from the Dark Elf Kingdom.”
Leo Ray finished speaking and nodded at Elusa.
“Without hiding from Your Majesties and Your Excellencies, I hail from a prominent family in the Dark Elf Kingdom and happen to have some understanding of the prophecy regarding the Great Catastrophe.”
Elusa’s fair complexion exuded solemnity as she spoke, “According to my family’s records, this will be a mysterious storm that the Dark Elf Kingdom cannot resist. Although everything is still unclear, it is filled with danger and fear.”
“I have a question. How does the current strength of the Human Clan compare to the Dark Elf Kingdom?”
Leo Ray set down his teacup and asked.
“In response, although the Human World has reached an unprecedented peak under your leadership, it is still far from being a match for the Dark Elf Kingdom.”
Elusa carefully considered her words and ultimately spoke bluntly.
“Understood.”
Leo Ray nodded at Elusa and then addressed everyone: “Even the Dark Elf Kingdom cannot resist the Great Catastrophe. If we don’t point our swords towards the Outer Region and unite with more forces, could there be any other outcome for the Human Clan besides total annihilation in the unknown storm?”
Having said this, Leo Ray looked at Elusa again and continued asking, “After the Dark Elf Kingdom learned of the Great Catastrophe, did they consider forming an alliance with other Foreign Races to jointly resist it?”
“In response, despite making great efforts to prepare defensively by strengthening fortifications and stockpiling food, the Dark Elf Kingdom did not take any steps to unite with other forces.”
Elusa initially answered without hesitation, then carefully considered her words before adding, “Dark Elves are inherently proud and even resist cooperation with closely related Light Elves and Forest Elves, making it highly unlikely to easily collaborate with other races.”
“Pelican Princess, based on your understanding of the Ten Thousand Clans, aside from the Dark Elf community, would the other Elf Tribes standing atop the clans, along with the Dwarf Clan and Winged Race, choose to cooperate with other races under these circumstances?”
Leo Ray turned to Fei’er for inquiry.
“Very difficult, these forces at the top of the Ten Thousand Clans have always been dismissive of each other, each extremely arrogant, naturally not willing to lower themselves to choose cooperation. As for those forces in the middle and lower echelons, they simply look down on them, even less inclined to build cooperation.”
Fei’er responded without any hesitation.
“Since they are unlikely to form alliances proactively, is there a quicker and more efficient method than using force to make them obedient?”
Leo Ray’s voice was calm yet carried a sense of undeniable authority.
“In other words, from the very beginning, we have no choice, or else the newly invigorated Human World can only face destruction.”
Upon hearing this, all the monarchs and high-ranking officials present nodded along, their expressions all filled with solemnity.
To protect countless citizens and safeguard all that has been hard-won, this truly is the only choice!
Even so, there was still a hint of apprehension etched on everyone’s faces.
No matter how, given the current strength of the Human Clan, accomplishing this seems impossible.
“Back when I was just a small Lord of Cyan City, probably none of you believed that one day I could sit here deciding the future of the Human Clan, right?”
Leo Ray noticed the unease in everyone’s eyes and smiled faintly again.
“Your Highness is absolutely right; as long as we follow your footsteps, there’s nothing that can’t be achieved!”
Grey Elder’s old face already showed a trace of excitement, nodding vigorously.
Beside him, Yonir and Fei’er displayed similar expressions, and as for the other monarchs and subordinates, they were even more supportive.
Seeing the atmosphere in the hall heat up once more, Leo Ray nodded slightly.
Although he had made everyone aware of the seriousness of the matter, it was far from enough, given that this land is facing not only the threat of the Great Catastrophe.
“There is another matter I need to inform you all, which is also the second reason I must conquer the Ten Thousand Clans, or else we will face annihilation even if we miraculously survive the Great Catastrophe.”
Leo Ray first finished the tea in his cup and then spoke solemnly, “That is the territorial war between Lords.”
After speaking, Leo Ray then described the news from Faith and other subordinates from other continents, as well as his conjectures regarding the war of the Lords.
“Your Highness, are you saying that soon we will confront the Otherworldly Lords who descended on other continents head-on?”
Yonir’s old face was full of astonishment, blurting out.
“Yes, bear in mind there are billions of Lords who descended into this world, and those possessing miraculous talents are not limited to just me. They are madly besieging and plundering in their respective territories, this has already been confirmed.”
Leo Ray put down his teacup and stated seriously, “At this stage, because the blocks are separated by vast oceans and unable to connect with each other, we cannot interfere with each other’s actions.”
“As more and more blocks are completely conquered, wars between blocks will inevitably occur in some manner, otherwise it wouldn’t be possible for so many Lords to descend simultaneously and be scattered in different regions.”
“To give an analogy, this is akin to a jungle where the weak are preyed upon by the strong. When a jungle has no targets left to devour, another jungle will inevitably appear before the king of that jungle, where there will also be a jungle king.”
“Although I don’t yet know the meaning behind all this, what kind of transcendent existence has done all this for what purpose, but as I advance forward, all of this will soon become clear.”
Leo Ray’s voice rose gradually and he continued, “And understanding the reason behind all this is my third reason for conquering the entire land!”
