Everyone Fought for Weapons, I Planted Bean Sprouts
Chapter 102 - 97: Ke Taichiro
Chapter 102: Chapter 97: Ke Taichiro
As he spoke, he pinched the ball of fertilizer and pulled Huai Yu’s basket toward the shop.
Huai Yu hurriedly struggled. "No, no, I really need to rush back. I still have things to do... You really can’t drink this... Sigh, fine, fine. If you really like it, I’ll pour some out for you."
"Great!" Uncle Zaozi immediately let go. "How straightforward! Wait a moment, I won’t let you suffer a loss. Come, come, come. I have a large bundle of thick hemp rope. If you can carry it, take it back with you."
Huai Yu truly felt too embarrassed to take advantage of him this time. She was genuinely afraid that Uncle Zaozi would actually drink the stuff like tea, so she waved her hands repeatedly.
"Actually, this is all fermented from garbage..."
"Sure, sure, garbage. I just love drinking a bit of garbage."
"You really can’t drink this!" Huai Yu grew anxious.
Uncle Zaozi, however, sighed.
"Girl, tell me, I’ve been mixing around in this market for so many years. I know whether something is good or bad with just one taste.
"Look at those mutated Zaozis from last time. What did I say? For twenty-three credits, not even a dog would eat them, right? Did you buy them and taste them? They tasted exactly as I described, didn’t they?
"Even though I don’t know what the raw materials of your stuff are, even if it isn’t tea, it definitely won’t taste bad when brewed!
"Don’t worry. I have experience. It won’t make me sick."
Huai Yu’s mind went completely blank.
She couldn’t leak the matter about Ke Taichiro, but she also couldn’t explain what this stuff actually was. She quickly told Uncle Zaozi, "Uncle Zaozi, if you want to drink tea, I have some! I’ll bring you a bag of Bamboo Heart Tea tomorrow. After being dried and brewed, it’s sweet and refreshing. It even has a bamboo fragrance that smells exceptionally good."
"Sigh, I don’t like those light flavors. I prefer things like compressed tea, Dianhong, Pu’er, and the like. Come on!" He had already taken a basin down from the shelf, his tone filled with anticipation. "Little Yu, how many balls do you plan to share with me?"
Huai Yu was speechless.
Gripping her basket, she tentatively poured two balls into the basin. When she looked up at Uncle Zaozi, she saw him wearing a melancholy expression.
So, she carefully poured out three more.
When she looked up again, Uncle Zaozi was already sighing.
Huai Yu simply threw caution to the wind and, with a loud CLATTER, poured out enough to cover the bottom of the basin!
"Uncle Zaozi, I’m really not lying to you. You truly can’t drink this. This is fermented fertilizer for farming. Try it out in the soil if you don’t believe me."
"Alright!" Uncle Zaozi patted his chest and promised. "Don’t worry, I won’t drink it! I’ll take it to farm tonight!"
As he spoke, he hurriedly took a bundle of hemp rope down from the shop wall and stuffed it directly into her basket.
"Take it, take it! I’ll judge for myself whether the stuff is good or not. If I get sick from consuming it, it has nothing to do with you. Here, take the rope. It’s a token of my appreciation."
He pushed her out the shop door as he spoke, clearly unwilling to listen to Huai Yu’s nagging and excuses any longer.
Huai Yu stood outside the shop with her basket on her back, truly at a loss for words. After thinking for a moment, she turned back to Huaxia Gold. "Boss Tang, can I tell others about Ke Taichiro?"
"No, no, definitely not!" Boss Tang repeatedly refused. "Gao Ming still has to earn a good performance review during his labor period. If people know Ke Taichiro can clean up garbage, the estimated value of this creature will shoot up.
"Besides, his channels aren’t exactly official..." He paused, noticing her expression. "What’s wrong?"
Huai Yu became conflicted. "An older man I know insisted that this is compressed tea and forced me to give him some to brew and drink. I couldn’t talk him out of it, and I’m worried he might get sick from drinking it..."
"HISS—"
Boss Tang was so shocked he looked as if his body had inflated. His eyes went wide. "Which older man? He’s actually going to drink it?"
Huai Yu’s expression was complicated. "Yeah, he really is. When I left, he was already getting ready to boil water."
Boss Tang was speechless.
Now, he was no longer certain either. "Logically speaking, this stuff should be harmless, but aside from the market, I don’t really know where else Ke Taichiro gathered those grass leaves and whatnot... After all, I can’t exactly follow it around while it rolls its dung balls, can I?"
Sighing in astonishment, he asked for the address and promised Huai Yu, "Don’t worry, I’ll go keep an eye on his shop in a bit! If anything goes wrong with the guy, I’ll rush him to the hospital immediately."
Huai Yu finally breathed a sigh of relief before saying embarrassedly, "Sorry for the trouble..."
Boss Tang, however, was already eager to give it a try, his face filled with marvel. "To be honest, I also want to know what it feels like to drink that stuff. Little Yu, which shop is it? I want to go take a look right now!"
