Chapter 514 - Rumors and Slanders
Chapter 514: Rumors and Slanders
Even on Earth, every move by the immortal sects, demonic sects, and daemonic cultivators could not be hidden from the Celestial Court.
And after they had come to the celestial battlefield, there were those who praised Jiang He and Wang Hou for their grand accomplishments in protecting the homeworld. Of course, there were those bearing ill-will and had spread word of Jiang He’s villainy everywhere about how he had massacred immortal sects, demonic sects, and daemonic cultivators.
Naturally, word of it reached the ears of the Jade Emperor as well.
Lü Dongbin thought about the Jade Emperor’s question then before answering, “Your Majesty, Jiang He is no murderer.”
“I have looked into the matter.”
“I can only say that desperate measures must be taken in desperate times.”
“Back then, humans were living in severe difficulty in the homeworld. Even so, Jiang He pacified the Ferals threat and uprooted the cult that the Sky Demons had embedded on the planet, only for the Sky Demon’s legion to loom… word has it that Jiang He was only True Child at the time, and Wang Hou, who had founded Martial Dao, was at the same level as well.”
“They had asked for help everywhere, hoping that the secluded immortal sects and demonic sects would help, only to run into a wall as none came… That left a terrible impression in Jiang He toward the sects, and he had therefore set the rule that those sects must follow the laws of the various nations in the homeworld, and anyone who violated it would be killed indiscriminately.”
Lü Dongbin appeared very prudent when facing the Jade Emeperor.
Everything he said about the conflict between Jiang He and the various sects was information he had gathered from Earth, and the undiluted truth.
The Jade Emperor’s expression darkened at that and he coolly said, “Before the various sects and factions had journeyed across the stars, they had left those sects so that there is still a legacy that stands and protects the homeworld!”
“If what you said was true, those sect’s deaths were just!”
Lü Dongbin quickly said, “I would never lie to you.”
“You’re so boring.”
The Jade Emperor complained. “You are my minister and my friend. Do you have to be like this when we’re alone?”
Lü Dongbin did not dare to reply.
Then, the Jade Emperor said, “Word from the celestial battlefield is that Modolo of the Demon Race and the White Sky God King of the God Race are unstoppable in the celestial battlefield, and had killed three of our Golden Immortals. How should we go about this?”
Lü Dongbin thought about it and said, “Modolo and White Sky God King are extraordinary in ability who could match an average Grand Luo even though they are Golden Immortals… in the Three Realms, only Victorious Fighting Buddha and Erlang Shen could match them.”
Erlang Shen, whose real name was Yang Jian, was widely known as the Celestial Court’s God of War.
His ability was also the strongest among the Golden Immortals, and even if he was no match against Modolo and the White Sky God King, he did not lose out by much.
Victorious Fighting Buddha, who was also known as that one legendary monkey, would not lose out to Erlang Shen either.
“Then issue the orders and have them both fight in the celestial battlefield for Golden Immortals.”
The Jade Emperor ordered.
Lü Dongbin mused to himself for a while and said, “Your Majesty, if we pit Erlang Shen and Victorious Fighting Buddha against the Modolo and White Sky God King, the most they could do is ensure that they are not defeated. There is no chance for them defeat those two!”
However, it was not as if Lü Dongbin was being an alarmist.
Yang Jian and Sun Wukong were highly regarded in divine myths and possess great power, but Modolo of the Demon Race was the Demon Lord’s personal disciple, just as the White Sky God King of the God Race was the personal disciple of the God Ruler!
The God Ruler and the Demon Lord were hegemons of worlds, and two of the strongest Saints.
“Your Majesty, neither Modolo nor the White Sky God King have fought in the battlefield for Golden Immortals for years. The reason they are carving a path of blood there now is nothing other than because the Hundred Races Alliance’s legion was routed, and they need to reclaim some dignity.”
“Our Golden Immortals just can’t win against the Modolo and White Sky God King, but we do have many Grand Luo.”
The Jade Emperor’s eyes lit up at that. “So, you’re saying…”
“We shall send Grand Luo elites into the Grand Luo battlefield to hunt down and kill elites of the God and Demon race!”

Meanwhile, at the Chan Sect, Jiang He and the Immortal Hermit of the South Pole returned to the alternate dimension to meet the Primeval Lord of Heaven once again.
Unlike the last time, the instant the Primeval Lord of Heaven saw Jiang He, he did not wait to ask, “You own an alternate dimension as well, Jiang He?”
Eh?
What was the alternate dimension again?
The Immortal Hermit of the South Pole had explained it to me last time, but I’ve forgotten about it…
The Primeval Lord of Heaven appeared perplexed when Jiang He shook his head.
He was unable to sense his Three Gems Back Scratcher over the last year of so.
And having reached his level, the Primeval Lord of Heaven could dump his mystic treasure to some corner of the universe without it severing his connection to his own mystic treasure… it could only happen if it was placed in an alternate dimension, like the one they were now in.
This particular alternate dimension was one he had cut out from the chaos deep in the celestial battlefield.
Nonetheless, Jiang He breathed a sigh of relieve at the Primeval Lord of Heaven’s question.
His Farm actually had such an effect too?
If he kept the Yuan Killer Sword, didn’t that mean the Nether River Patriarch would not be able to sense the karmic connection between them?

Jiang He left the Hollow Jade Palace on the same day.
Seven of the Twelve Hollow Jade Golden Immortals saw him off, along with the pellet refinists, item refinists, and dozens of second and third generation disciples.
It was such a grand scene that eclipsed even the Jade Emperor’s visit.
Whoosh!
Jiang He turned into a streak of sword light, instantly disappearing over the distant horizon, and only stopped 500,000 kilometers away when he found a huge immortal city.
Taking out a map of Primeval he obtained from the Hollow Jade Palace, he spotted the icon of the city on the map.
“The Chan Sect is located at the vast reaches of Jambudvipa, whereas the Green Hill Foxes reside at Uttarakuru. There are untold miles between locations, but there’s no rush—the Green Foxes had been staying at Uttarakuru for generations, and they are not running away.”
Jiang He waved his hand to let out his pets, maids, and the like.
It was worth mentioning that after absorbing Demeter’s divinity, Little Willow’s loli appearance had grown to a slender, elegant woman.
The group entered the immortal city, intending to go on a happy stroll through the streets to take in the sights of Primeval, but their good mood was utterly ruined before they had even finished a meal at a tavern!
Various cultivators were loudly chatting and gossiping in the tavern, and the most popular topic naturally had to do with the homeworld.
It was no secret that many elites and immortals had returned to the homeworld a while ago.
“I heard that the place is very different now.”
An elderly man was sighing a lot. “Our legacies on the planet are gone… the sects are dead or dying!”
He slowly spilled the beans once someone asked the reason, claiming that he knew a lot about what had happened on Earth… and yet, he had mostly reversed the facts, describing the sects as being upright and grand, while painting Jiang He as a bloodlusting demon.
“B*stard!”
Dumbo fumed, raising a bone as he barked, “Master, that old thug is distorting facts. I’m going to kill that mongrel!”
“It’s fine.”
Jiang He waved him off with a smile. “Sit down and eat your meal. You don’t have to care about mere rumors.”
However, days later, when Jiang He and the others arrived at the next immortal city, they heard the same thing at another tavern.
In a tavern at the third city…
Jiang He led his pets and maids into a private cubicle.
Dumbo tilted its head to listen and split into a smile. “We can finally eat in peace…”
And yet, an old man entered the tavern right after he said that.
He reeked of alcohol and looked drunk, demanding a pot of wine before sitting at one of the most conspicuous seats of the tavern, then chugging it before he started wailing and hammering his chest.
“It’s gone!”
“It’s all gone!”
“Our homeworld… the homeworld we’ve fought so hard for! Immortal arts is dead!”
What the hell!
Kaboom!
Dumbo promptly crashed out of their private cubicle and instantly appeared before the old man.
