Shhhk.

As soon as the door to the side chamber slid open, the shorty pacing outside the door hopped over to meet Bubai with all grins and enthusiasm.

"Ouuu! Brother's finally emerged from the dragon's den!"

Bubai nodded back. "Apologies. Got caught up in sorting out some household affairs. Hope I didn't keep you waiting long, Brother Ba."

"Not at all, not at all!"

Qian Bage's eyes then jumped from his buddy to the red-haired bodyguard then to the fresh oriental face cloaked in a coarse windbreaker.

His grin widened into a full moon. "Ouhaha! Congratulations again! Brother Bai's garden just acquired another fresh blossom! So envious, ou!"

Bubai rolled his eyes. "If you're that envious, you can take her off my hands."

"Ou?!" Qian Bage immediately jumped back with exaggerated horror written on his face.

"I don't dare! I don't dare! How can I, Qian Bage, arbitrarily touch the women of a good brother? Heaven forbids breaking the brotherly code, ah!"

They all knew the real reason he didn't dare, but nobody pointed it out.

Instead, Bubai got back to serious business. "So? What was it you were trying to say earlier?"

"Ouhaha, nothing, nothing important..." Qian Bage sheepishly combed his chicken-coop-like hair.

"Just wanted to wish brother congratulations for turning disaster into fortune and establishing your place in our little pond! Brother Bai is really a hard-to-come-by, once-in-a-century genius, ou!"

Bubai responded with another eye roll. "Cut the flattery. If you gotta fart, just let it out, already."

"Ou, alright, alright…" Qian Bage looked left and right like an evil mastermind checking for eavesdroppers. "But brother, this really isn't the place to talk…"

Then, the man's tune changed as fast as his face.

"By the way, we still haven't celebrated Brother Bai's first, and now second, victories! Come, come! Brother, I'll take you to a good place!"

Out in the Central District.

With the Radiant Sun Arena being one of the Sun Furnace Sect's greatest hubs, it's not too surprising that the sect's planners built a service industry around it.

Naturally, one of those services was a bathhouse: the Radiant Sun's Fragrant Purity House.

Inside this major establishment was a grand hotspring-like pool where steam hung like low clouds brushing a lake.

In a sense, it presented the feeling of "one with nature".

But for those in the know, this was the kind of place where spring flows like a river and even the moons can be seen peeking through the steamy curtains!

And right now, Bubai was relaxing in this warm pool with his back getting kneaded by a pretty maid's towel.

Truly, the treatment of a noble.

"Ouuu…" A groan of satisfaction came from the half-submerged Qian Bage a few paces away.

"Ou, that really hit the spot just right... Nothing beats relaxing in a hotspring like this. Too bad, the peace and quiet here will be gone soon."

"Hmm...?" Bubai let his head fall back to use the thighs behind as a pillow. "Is this place that popular?"

"Ou. Normally not." Qian Bage lounged back and sighed. "But not everybody can stomach the stink of blood and sweat leftover from their fight."

"This bath hall was built next to the arena for this purpose. A little extra side income for the sect, a place for us men to refresh ourselves. Ou… it'll be packed in here these next few days."

Makes sense. All that was agreeable, except…

Remembering the rather expensive—ten spirit stones per person—entry fee that Qian Bage footed for them…

Merlin above, how is that little?!

Even if a disciple only comes once in a lifetime, just imagine how much spirit stones this place earns!

Bubai let out a long sigh. "Man, the sect really knows how to squeeze juice from every fruit on the tree. But how come they don't charge for the arena then?"

"Ou, Brother Bai, things aren't that simple..."

"During normal times, spectating will actually have a viewing fee set by the participating parties."

"But during this special annual event, the top brass has never broken this free-viewing tradition set by the forefathers."

Bubai felt so much regret in his heart. "What a waste! Even if they collected a spirit stone per head, it'll be a whole lot more than what this fancy bathhouse can make!"

Qian Bage rolled his eyes so hard they almost fell out of his skull.

"Brother Bai, sect policies don't always look at monetary profits. The folks at the bottom also needs to live, ou."

"Charging a spirit stone—who will come watch? Better to be free!"

"Only then will those grassroots disciples get a chance to broaden their horizons, which will promote growth and unity in the long term. Replanting seeds is worth more than trading it for gold, ou."

Oh. Replanting, huh? Bubai sighed inside. Well, he gets it: one of those big picture things. Stuff a little guy like him shouldn't waste time caring about.

"Speaking of promoting growth…" Qian Bage suddenly perked up from the spring with a splash.

"Ou, Brother Bai. Did you know this little paradise also passes as a side income for us middle-class disciples?"

"Oh?" When it came to money, Bubai's interest was piqued.

Qian Bage smirked. "Brother, don't take this as an insult to your combat prowess, but there's a truth we all know..."

"No matter how mighty the stamina we men have, only an ox will exhaust itself to death from plowing, but never the field itself."

"Even if our garden is full of flowers, how many can we actually water? One? Two? Four on a good day?"

He then wagged a finger around. "And that is where places like this establishment comes in."

"If any disciples got more flowers in their garden that they can tend, they can deposit a few here to earn some extra spirit stones every day… providing that they pass the quality check. Ou, just like them."

Bubai followed Qian Bage's finger to the far side of the pool, where he saw soaked beauties in colorful robes playfully splashing each other while their giggles sounded like silver bells.

Ah yes, one of the main attractions here: those rabbits of many sizes and them thighs...

From olive skins to those that were as white as the marble pillars that supported everything about this place, including privacy for those who need it.

Why the need for privacy in a public bath?

By the way, this is a men's bath…

Think about why those ladies are here. Heh. Those who understand, understand.

"By the way, Brother Bai's new peach blossom should have no problem passing the quality inspection."

Qian Bage then casually added. "If brother ever needs an excuse to clear out some eyes from your tower…"

Bubai got the hint. Rent them out. If the elders ever come knocking, he could just cry poor! Or... not.

His purse has gotten a bit too fat recently. Even if this excuse worked, it won't work more than once or twice.

Besides, why hide? He's not afraid of doing things out in the open!

"Hah... There's no need for that. For now, I can still handle them all."

Qian Bage clapped in approval. "Ou! Brother is a real dragon amongst men! Truly admirable!"

That flattery didn't make his ego swell—but something else certainly did.

Splash! A head rose out from the surface of the clear spring...

Water ran down the pretty oriental face of the mermaid in black.

Her soaked black lace glued to her proud figure and refused to let go of her dangerous curves.

Her every gasp for breath only made her all the more mesmerizing and Bubai can't help but feel her up.

She went stiff at his touch, but this only made Bubai want to tease her more.

"Reiko-chan, why are you spacing out again? I told you, didn't I? If you want to see your dear husband again, you will have to satisfy me... completely."

Staring at that ugly face that showed her the depths of despair earlier, Reiko bit her lips as if to swallow back something—shame, sorrow, or perhaps something darker.

But hope still made her ask, "W-will you really... send me back to my husband?"

Bubai gave her an unreadable smile and rubbed those wet lips. "Like I said. Do your duty well and I will think about it."

Reiko furtively peeked over to the other stranger nearby and her face was painted with reluctance and shame.

But Bubai still felt her hands never stop... like a drowning woman grasping onto her last hope.

Qian Bage shot his buddy a meaningful look. "Ou, Brother Bai really knows how to trim the thorns on your flowers."

"Just some little tricks. Not worthy of praise." Bubai laughed and the two shared a grin that men of culture understood.

By now, everybody understood how the world here works.

If she doesn't satisfy him, he has no need to honor the deal.

And if she satisfies him?

Well, why would he give back something he enjoy?

Anyways, he only said he'll think about it, not that he actually will. Hahaha!

Devil Bubai.jpg.

And as a big devil, this much was still not enough to satisfy him.

So Bubai didn't hold back from squeezing her harder.

"Reiko-chan... this much isn't enough. Be good, and show me the real skills you used to bewitch your husband."

Reiko gasped lightly and her watery eyes submissively gazed back at the window to his corrupted soul. And corrupt him more she did.

"...Yes… as you wish... my lord."
