Eternal Thief

Chapter 1384 - 1384: The Ravencrown

Ace’s confession caused violent ripples in Ravencrown and Eleanor’s minds, as they looked at Ace incredulously and in disbelief.

‘Didn’t a Law Contract bind him?’ Ravencrown was extremely confused at this and looked at Eleanor in bewilderment.

Eleanor was equally confused and muttered, “H-he broke the Law Contract!”

Ravencrown’s heart trembled when she heard those words, and she looked at Ace, Zaria, and the other two women.

“We are not Nightfall Ravenhood; there’s a huge misunderstanding here!” Ravencrown tried to deny it as she considered how to escape this situation.

Ravencrown was a calm and calculative person, but today she couldn’t keep her calm because things were twisting in a way that she couldn’t keep up with them at all.

She was truly afraid right now, and after what she had just heard, she needed to tell Raven about ‘Sky Stealer’. This was a huge divulgence, and the irony behind it made it even more ridiculous.

They had been searching for the Sky Stealer while he was already so close to them and even knew who they were. Now, he had even captured her with Eleanor.

“You can deny as much as you want, but it won’t change anything.” Ace coldly stated, “I have many questions for you, but I guess it’s not the right time to ask them. After all, you might still think there’s a way to escape or send a message to your crew, but there isn’t.

“Right now, you both are in a Living Space Treasure, and not even an Ascension King could escape from here if one entered this place. So, the sooner you accept your situation, the better for all of us.

Lastly, our Lucky Thief, Zaria, has selected you both to become her Thief Acolytes. She’ll be your supervisor from now on. But please remember that you haven’t officially joined us yet, so she can ‘eliminate’ you if she finds someone more fitting.

Ace smiled coldly as she looked at Ravencrown and Eleanor.

“So, I suggest you both cherish this opportunity because the only way to get out of this place is either to join us or to die. The former also means your full cooperation and trust.”

He then looked at Zaria and said, “They are yours. Oh, and give me their storage rings.”

Zaria glanced at Ace with a peculiar expression before she nodded and gave him the storage space treasure that she had stolen from Eleanor and Ravencrown. She had already gotten a hefty amount of House Points from them, so she didn’t care about what was inside since she didn’t lack those treasures at all.

Moreover, unlocking those treasures was a hassle, and she also knew Ace wouldn’t cheat her of them. He probably wanted them to find more clues about the Nightfall Ravenhood.

Although the exchange between Zaria and Ace was brief, in Eleanor and Ravencrown’s eyes, it was shocking. After all, Zaria was clearly following Ace’s orders, and knowing her personality, it was an extremely shocking scene.

No one would believe if they told them that Zaria was following a weak Ascension Master’s orders obediently.

Furthermore, Ace’s words were still swirling in their minds as they finally understood their situations.

“Was everything a lie?!” Eleanor suddenly shouted loudly, her eyes bloodshot, and she glared at Ace with deep resentment.

Ace was startled and looked at Eleanor with a hint of surprise. Alina and Eva narrowed their eyes and suddenly felt something familiar in Eleanor’s emotions.

“I was doing what I could to survive, and you were the one who insisted on keeping me with you. So, I guess, except for telling you my name, other things are out of necessity. Don’t think too much into this, and I’m giving you a chance to join me for the little kindness you showed me. It’s your biggest fortune but also your biggest misfortune.” Ace impassively stated before he took Eva and Alina back to the houses in the Thief’s Space.

He wasn’t worried about Eleanor and Ravencrown causing trouble here. Furthermore, since Zaria had decided to take them as her Thief Acolytes, she was responsible for taming them, and he knew she was fully capable of it.

Zaria doesn’t want him to interfere in this, so he decides to warn those two, especially Eleanor, before he leaves Zaria and them alone.

“W-wait! Let us go, and I can give you something that might be very important to you! You won’t find anything in my space ring, especially not what you’re looking for!” Ravencrown finally dropped the act. She knew the situation was dire, and there was no way of escaping unless she could entice Ace with something he wanted.

Ace’s eyes flickered profoundly, but he didn’t stop. He continued to walk away as if not interested in Ravencrown’s offer at all.

“Heh, give up, little girl. He’ll get what he wants once you become a Thief Acolyte.” Zaria snickered with mockery as she glanced at Eleanor, who now looked listless.

Ravencrown gritted her teeth as she had never felt so frustrated before. She shouted again, “The Heaven’s Stealer! You called the Heaven’s Stealer, right!?”

Ace’s footsteps finally halted, and he turned around, while Eva and Alina were also surprised.

‘A glittering amber fate point that can change my life…’ This thought surfaced in Ace’s mind as he looked at Ravencrown.

Ace had already suspected that Nightfall Ravenhood had some kind of connection with Heaven’s Stealer heritage because of the similarities between his thief symbol and Nightfall Ravenhood’s.

But he wasn’t sure until Ravencrown confirmed it just now. She was also the Amber Fate Point, while Raven wasn’t, which means she was even more important to him than the rest of the Ravens.

“I think you’ve gotten the wrong person; I’m Sky Stealer, not Heaven’s Stealer.” Ace causally denied.

“Don’t try to deny it! The symbol of the owl that you leave behind whenever you steal is the biggest proof you are Heaven’s Stealer!” Ravencrown furiously retorted.

If she weren’t in her current situation, she would’ve definitely taught Ace a lesson about playing this game with her since she had been doing the same for a long time.

But now, she was finally having the taste of her own medicine!
