Chapter 399 -244: Vajra Body

With that, he threw a savage punch at the Black Shadow. The blow contained all of his strength and killing intent, powerful enough to seemingly destroy the entire stone chamber.

The punch whistled through the air, carrying a fierce aura as it shot straight toward the Black Shadow.

This time, the punch landed without a hitch.

The Black Shadow was struck squarely. He let out a muffled grunt and flew backward like a kite with a broken string, slamming heavily against the wall of the stone chamber.

The impact echoed throughout the stone chamber. Accompanied by the dull thud of the Black Shadow collapsing to the floor, the entire room seemed to tremble.

Fang Yue kept his eyes fixed on the Black Shadow. Only after seeing no movement for a long moment did he dare to confirm that the true culprit behind his framing had been utterly slain.

He breathed an inward sigh of relief but did not let down his guard. He walked slowly toward the Black Shadow, preparing to remove his mask and see the true face of the mastermind behind it all.

He crouched down, reached out, and slowly pulled off the Black Shadow’s mask.

Beneath the mask was an unfamiliar face. He didn’t recognize the man.

The face was covered in so much blood and dust that its original features were unrecognizable.

But Fang Yue could clearly sense the evil aura emanating from the man, which made him shudder with a lingering sense of fear.

He didn’t know how this man had framed him, nor did he understand what his objective had been.

But now, the man was dead. All the mysteries would have to wait to be unraveled in the future.

“Finally dead. Now, let’s see what secrets this place holds.”

This cavern was hidden deep beneath the Gongzhou Prefecture’s Observatory. It was extremely secretive, and the Black Shadow had clearly been very familiar with it.

‘There must be a great secret here.’

‘If I can uncover the secret here, I might be able to clear my name. And maybe,’ he thought, ‘I’ll even find some other reward.’

At this thought, Fang Yue glanced down at the gemstone in his hand.

The gemstone had absorbed his Primordial Qi and was now emitting faint specks of starlight, proof that this place was anything but simple.

Just as Fang Yue was about to begin his search, the gemstone in his hand underwent another strange transformation.

A stream of pure Primordial Qi flowed out from it and swiftly entered Fang Yue’s body.

It was over in a mere moment.

“It can purify Primordial Qi! This thing really is a treasure.” Fang Yue froze for a second before snapping back to his senses.

He gripped the gemstone tightly, feeling the warmth and power radiating from it.

‘But now isn’t the time to study it.’

Fang Yue immediately put the gemstone away and prepared to search the cavern.

But before exploring further, he needed to make sure he was safe.

Fang Yue quickly checked his physical condition. After confirming he was uninjured, he began to search the cavern.

He moved cautiously, avoiding potential traps and dangers while paying close attention to every detail of his surroundings.

Fang Yue moved slowly along the edge of the stone chamber, placing each step with extreme care. He knew this cavern concealed unknown dangers, and a single oversight could have irreversible consequences.

The air in the stone chamber was cold and damp, enough to make one shudder.

Ancient Runes and patterns were carved into the walls, giving off a mysterious and eerie aura.

These Runes and patterns seemed related to some ancient ritual. Fang Yue guessed they were intricately linked to the cavern’s secrets.

He studied them as he walked, trying to find a clue within the Runes and patterns.

However, the Runes and patterns were too ancient and complex for him to decipher their meaning right away.

Just as he was starting to feel frustrated, a stone door suddenly appeared on the wall ahead.

The stone door blended in perfectly with the surrounding wall; if Fang Yue hadn’t been observing so carefully, he would have almost certainly missed it.

His heart leaped with joy as he strode quickly to the stone door.

The stone door was also carved with Runes and patterns, though they were slightly different from the ones in the main chamber.

Fang Yue guessed the stone door was likely the entrance to the deeper parts of the cavern.

He tried pushing the stone door, but it didn’t budge in the slightest.

Fang Yue immediately put more strength into it, backing the push with his immense power.

A moment later, the stone door let out a low groan and slowly swung open.

Delighted, Fang Yue carefully stepped into the passage behind the stone door.

After walking for some time, a stone chamber suddenly appeared at the end of the passage.

Fang Yue hurried to the entrance of the chamber and saw that it was piled high with gold, silver, and other treasures, as well as rare Spirit Grass and Spirit Medicine. The combined treasures and medicines exuded an enticing aroma that was incredibly tempting.

However, Fang Yue was not swayed by these treasures.

He knew that while the treasures were valuable, they were not his main objective. Besides, there was too much to carry. He picked out a few expensive-looking Bright Pearls and left the rest behind.

Fang Yue scanned his surroundings, but found nothing else in the stone chamber besides the treasure.

A little disappointed, he prepared to leave the chamber and continue his exploration.

Just as he was about to leave, he noticed a stone tablet in a corner of the chamber. The tablet blended in with the surrounding stone wall, making it almost impossible to spot without careful observation.

Intrigued, Fang Yue walked over to the stone tablet.

Carved on the tablet were ancient characters and patterns. They were similar to the ones he had seen in the first chamber and on the stone door, but not entirely identical.

He studied the characters and patterns carefully, trying to find a clue among them.
