Chapter 444 -275: Five Years of Progress, Changes in the Song Territory (Part 2)

Only then did Lin Changheng head out. He made his way to the mountain range behind Moonrest Island and casually captured a Tier One wolf-like Demon Beast that was hunting in the forest.

These Demon Beasts were originally intended for the Cyan-striped Tiger, Xiaoqing, to hunt and sharpen its ferocity.

Now, they were perfect for testing his new technique.

“WHIMPER…”

The wolf-like Demon Beast was suspended in midair by the Magical Power of the Green Robe Cultivator before it.

Its fur bristled as terror washed over it. It began to struggle and howl, but it was completely unable to break free.

He arrived at the hollow in the mountain range where his second hidden immortal cave was located.

Lin Changheng casually used Magic to immobilize the wolf-like Demon Beast. Then, he turned his attention to inspecting the [Divine Blood Curse Seal Anomaly Technique: Spiritual] granted by the [Red-eyed Fire Demon Treasure Seed·Second Layer].

He didn’t rush to cast it. Instead, he first completely calmed his Heart and Spirit and turned his focus inward with Introspection. He carefully sensed the [Divine Blood Curse Seal] that had fused deep into his bloodline when the Treasure Seed advanced.

This technique had already become an innate instinct, something he had mastered as naturally as breathing or his own heartbeat.

He “saw” that deep within his body, there now seemed to be a number of imperceptible, dust-fine Red Gold Runes. They flowed silently, tracelessly through him, yet they held a strange and ancient power.

“With my divine blood, I write your fated curse…”

Inspiration struck. Following some instinctual guidance, he slowly raised his right hand, his fingers held together like the tip of a brush.

With a slight stir of his thoughts, a red-gold thread of blood, finer than a strand of hair, seeped from his fingertip. It wasn’t real blood, but rather the highly condensed Power of Divine Sense, controlling the Magical Power from the newly branded Red Gold Runes.

Focus. Write!

Using his finger as a brush, the Void as paper, and the red-gold thread of blood as ink, he began to draw.

Wherever his fingertip passed, it left clear, arcane trails of runes in the air, composed of pure light and flame.

The process consumed far more of his Heart and Spirit and Magical Power than he had anticipated. With every stroke, the formation of the Rune seemed to siphon a portion of power from his Dantian.

However, with his Upper Grade Fire Spirit Root as a foundation and the abundant, pure Magical Power from his Cultivation of the *Jade Void Brilliance Scripture* for support, he was able to complete it smoothly.

In a flash, a complex, palm-sized Red Gold Curse Seal shaped like a miniature roaring Fire Demon materialized in the Void before his fingertip, rotating slowly.

The moment the Curse Seal formed, Lin Changheng felt an incredibly intimate connection to it. It was as if the seal had become an extension of his own body, giving rise to a “Spiritual” sensation, a feeling of control as effortless as moving his own limbs.

The test began.

With a flicker of his thoughts—’Go!’

As if alive, the Curse Seal silently traced an arc through the air and instantly vanished into the body of the Tier One wolf-like Demon Beast.

“AWOO!”

The Tier One wolf-like Demon Beast seemed to sense something was wrong. It struggled desperately, its deadly Sharp Claws lashing out, but to no avail.

“TSSST!”

As the Curse Seal entered its body, the wolf-like Demon Beast seemed to sense it. The light died in its pupils, and it instantly stopped struggling, collapsing to the ground.

Lin Changheng’s calm eyes were now fixed upon it.

A three-colored light swirled in his eyes as he projected his Divine Light, observing it quietly.

The Wolf Demon’s body showed no external signs of damage or wounds, yet Lin Changheng could clearly “sense” the Curse Seal’s presence. It was like an invisible beacon, branded firmly inside the demon’s abdomen.

In truth, apart from the innate perception granted to him as the “Caster,” the aura of the [Divine Blood Curse Seal] was so completely concealed that even a careful scan with his Divine Sense could barely detect it.

‘It’s hidden incredibly well.’

Satisfied, Lin Changheng turned his thoughts once more. A faint yet scorching ripple emanated from within the Wolf Demon’s body. Faint red patterns, like lines of molten rock, even appeared on its skin.

“ARGH!”

The Wolf Demon let out a wretched, pain-filled howl. Its ferocity then exploded forth. Kicking up a foul demonic wind, it lunged straight for Lin Changheng, its sharp fangs aimed at his throat and chest.

It wanted to rip out his throat and tear out his heart.

Lin Changheng watched impassively, as if he hadn’t seen a thing. With a flash of thought, he remotely triggered the sliver of destructive will at the Curse Seal’s core.

With a soft, muffled sound, crimson light erupted from within the Wolf Demon’s body, which was as tough as bronze and iron. The light surged out from its pores, its flesh, and the very seams of its bones.

The Wolf Demon didn’t even have time to cry out before it was incinerated from the inside out, reduced to a small pile of ash in the blink of an eye!

The entire process was silent, yet it possessed a heart-stopping destructive power.

Lin Changheng let out a long, turbid breath. A faint sheen of sweat appeared on his temples. The seal’s consumption was significant, but his eyes were startlingly bright.

This Second Layer [Divine Blood Curse Seal Technique] was not only bizarrely powerful, but its true genius lay in that “Spiritual” sense of control, an instinctual command that surpassed ordinary Magic. Whether it was implanting the seal from a distance, sensing it remotely, or detonating it with a single thought, everything was unbelievably smooth.

‘This technique is an excellent tool for ambushes, for control… no, an exceptional method for defeating enemies.’

A smirk played on his lips.

The morning light grew ever brighter, enveloping him in its glow.

He sensed that the entire process, from casting to detonation, had consumed nearly thirty percent of his Magical Power, yet he felt a profound sense of accomplishment.

As he meditated to recover his Magical Power, a thought suddenly struck Lin Changheng.

‘This Curse Seal is constructed using Magical Power as ink… perhaps I could use the power of the [Red Sky Profound Flame] instead…’

Once the thought arose, it was impossible to suppress.

‘Wouldn’t that grant it an even more immense and unbelievable power?’

He immediately began to experiment.

But it was obvious that the power of the [Red Sky Profound Flame] was vastly different from Magical Power or Demonic Power; it couldn’t be used in the same way.
