Eternal Cultivation Of Alchemy

Chapter 3947: Announcement

  • Next Chapter

The bright red ball of fire flew through the air and struck where Alex was in a powerful explosion. Red and pink light filled the arena, causing several people to gasp in surprise. The explosion was more than powerful enough to scare a lot of people that were watching the duel, as the power had belonged to a Fire Sage after all.

That was the fire of a Divine Domain realm cultivator.

It took a while before the audience returned to their senses. When they did, they immediately called out what had just happened.

"That’s not fair!"

"She went against the rules."

"Why was she allowed to attack?"

More people began shouting as they realized the situation.

Up in the seating area, Alex’s family held their breath in shock as they could feel the power of the explosion from where they were. At the heart of it, the attack should have been so much stronger even.

Helen held her hand up to her face, quickly looking away as she could not bear to see the result of the attack. Graham held her but did not keep his eyes away from the arena.

"It’s okay," Scarlet said. "He’s okay."

For a few, that sounded like nothing more than an attempt to dissuade their fears. But quickly, the rest remembered that Scarlet and the rest could feel him through their bonds.

They looked down, waiting for the fire to clear.

When the fire died down, everyone expected to see a charred corpse. In fact, many expected to see nothing at all but maybe ashes. What no one had expected to see was an unharmed Alex.

Alex stood in the fire, slowly dusting off his robe as if nothing else had happened. Other than that, he was completely unharmed.

Blazelight stared with a look of pure awe. She could not understand how her attack had been fended off by a mere Immortal. Had she unintentionally made her attack weaker? What had happened?

"He’s safe?"

"How is that possible?"

"I don’t see a single burn mark on him."

Not a hair on Alex’s head had been affected by the attack, to a point where people stopped being surprised and started getting suspicious that he had cheated in some other way.

"What is that? Was he wearing that before?"

It was only after an audience member’s words that everyone’s eyes fell on Alex’s robe, which came into visibility as the fires around him slowly dissipated. Once the fire was already gone, Alex stood in the middle of the crater, wearing a bright yellow robe with a white sun pattern embroidered onto it.

The Artifact God leaned back on her seat and grinned widely.

"He’s finally brought it out."

Everyone looking at the robe could immediately tell that it was no simple piece of clothing at all. Many looked closely, their senses moving through it. When they did, they found a powerful aura attached to the robe that they could not make sense of.

"What... what is that?" Blazelight asked, seeing the robe fully.

"This?" Alex asked, stepping forward for her to see. He turned toward the audience and gestured toward the Artifact God. "I believe the Artifact God has some announcements to make in regard to this."

All eyes moved toward the Artifact God, who slowly stood from her seat and flew down toward the arena. She turned toward the audience, mostly facing the gods, and gave a deep bow.

"A few years ago, I claimed that I was making something that I would be announcing today. This is it." She gestured toward Alex’s robe. "This is the Nine Sun Robe, created using the feathers of none other than the Three-Legged Crow itself."

"What?!"

Those simple words were enough to stun everyone.

"The Three-Legged Crow?"

"That’s the Sun Crow, isn’t it?"

"Isn’t the Three-Legged Crow what the Sunfire comes from as well?"

People began to see a deeper connection between Alex and the Three-Legged Crow, and they wondered how he had come by either of the things during his journey.

The Artifact God continued. "I am proud to announce that I have done what my master had done in the past. Now, I too am capable of creating artifacts from the corpses of the Primordial beasts as well. And this Nine Sun Robe is my proof."

What Shen Yaojia had just announced was perhaps far more shocking than anything the people in the audience had seen until now. Alex’s showcase of his Sunfire was no doubt surprising, but that was hardly good enough to make the others envious.

The robe, however, and especially the fact that more artifacts could now be made, was what they could see themselves having. They wanted something like that: an artifact created from a Primordial’s corpse.

Several people started asking questions about where and how, but the Artifact God turned down those questions immediately.

"I will answer all of your questions during the meeting afterwards. For now, this is a time for the duel, so I shall not waste any more time than I already have," she said.

She turned toward Alex and gave him a firm nod before flying back to the stage.

The Sky God stepped forward and met Blazelight’s eyes. "Do you have something to say for yourself?"

"I..."

"She will apologize," the Fire God said from behind as he stepped toward the two.

"My lord!" Blazelight turned around. She was about to complain, but seeing the Fire God’s look of near anger made her completely freeze in fear.

She slowly turned around, her heart in her stomach, and looked toward the Sky God. "I... I apologize. I did not—"

"I am not who you should be apologizing to," the Sky God said, before gesturing toward Alex.

Blazelight’s face fell, but there was nothing else she could do. She turned toward Alex, her lips already going dry before she could even speak. She forced herself nonetheless and reluctantly brought out words of apology.

"Forgive me for attacking you," Blazelight said. "I... I acted out of turn."
