Chapter 3618 Ravenwing

Chapter 3618 Ravenwing

Alex was a little taken aback upon hearing that a demon had come to the Sky God's palace.

He couldn't imagine demons being around as a cause for concern for anyone at all, but this one seemed special. What demon could this possibly be?

'There's no way this is Shumi, right?' he thought. He couldn't see that being the case, but then again, what would he know?

"A demon is here?" Greensoul asked. "What is a demon doing here? Is it someone we know?"

"Our mother recognized her. So did the Wine God. She's a one-horned demon with bright red hair called Ravenwing. Do you know her?"

"Ravenwing?" Greensoul's eyes widened in shock. "Are you joking?"

Bigshell shook his head. "I'm not. I assume you know who that is then."

"Of course I do. She's one of the few Celestials the demons have," Greensoul said. "She was responsible for many deaths during the war. Certainly one of the most violent demons you could ever meet."

Alex was now quite interested in hearing who this Ravenwing was.

"Is she alone?" he asked, just to make sure.

"She is. She came from the Land of the Blessed Sun all by herself," Bigshell said.

"But you can never be certain, can you?" Greensoul asked. "That must be why I was asked to protect you two. Just in case."

Alex nodded slowly, understanding the situation.

"Is this Celestial really that violent a person?" Ronron asked. "Is there any chance she will start a fight with master?"

"That is a little unlikely. If she does start a fight, she is bound to be defeated," Greensoul said with no small amount of trust in the Sky God. "Of course, that doesn't mean that she won't start a fight. That woman will fight anyone she wants to, regardless of where she is. If you've ever met the Archery God, Ravenwing is like her, but worse."

That was all Alex needed to hear to understand the Celestial's personality.

"Only the Zealot is worse than her. Thankfully, it doesn't look like he's here."

Alex didn't know who that was, but he could guess that it was a demon as well. That made him wonder just how bad that one could be.

"Do you have any idea what she is here for?" Greensoul asked. The arrival of a Celestial realm demon in the Sky God's palace was certainly not a simple event. Almost everyone wondered what they were actually there for.

Bigshell answered.

"I do not understand the entire situation, but she is apparently here for some peace talks."

"Peace talks?" Alex asked in surprise. "Really?"

Bigshell could only shrug. "That is what I had heard. Our mother and the other gods are currently with her, talking about this exact thing."

* * * * * Inside the Sky God's palace, in a particular hall, 6 Gods were gathered throughout the couches, all forming a semicircle surrounding a single couch upon which Ravenwing sat.

The Sky God sat in the center of the row of gods, with Bladedance sitting next to her. Of the several gods present, these two were the strongest ones available.

The only other god who could possibly compare to them in strength was the Divination God, but since he kept to himself in most cases, his influence wasn't that great at all. He also didn't like being the center of attention, so he placed himself farther away toward the edge of the seats.

The Wine God and the Beast God were the ones who had brought along the demon to the Sky God's realm, so they had arrived here along with her as well. As such, they sat in this meeting too.

The only other god there was the Staff God. She had only been visiting the Sky God and had been wrapped into this by mere coincidence.

Everyone else who was not a God, a Reverend, or a Sage was made to evacuate the premises or stand guard in case something happened.

With 6 different gods being there, it was almost impossible for anything to happen to them, but with a demon Celestial, anything was possible.

Ravenwing sat with her arms crossed before her purple dress, a thin veil lifted above, barely hiding the red hair that peeked through from her head. She looked around, her black eyes scanning every person there.

A bright grin spread across her lips.

"Do I have to request some refreshments?" she asked. "I thought it was the job of the host to provide these things on their own."

The Sky God shrugged. "My apologies, but something unforeseen has happened, so I was forced to send everyone away. We would serve you refreshments, but there's no one around to bring them to us."

"That's not true. I sense so many people around this place that are just waiting for something. You could certainly send those," Ravenwing said with what looked like a genuine smile.

"That's not possible either," the Sky God replied. "They are hard at work as well."

"Oh. That sucks. What about you, young lady?" Ravenwing's black eyes turned toward the Staff God. "You seem free enough. Do you care to help me?"

"Oh, I would," the Staff God said. "But you see, I am a guest as well. And more than that, I came here before you, and they still haven't brought me any refreshments either. So you will just have to wait around. Once I get mine, we can deal with yours."

Ravenwing slightly raised one of her eyebrows. "How fun."

She looked around the place. "It's always great to see when there are women in charge of things, you know. It's far too common for the upper echelon of any group to end up being all men. I'm always happy to see when there are more women doing things than men."

The Sky God sighed. "We could keep making small talk, or we could just get to the point. I hear you wish to hold talks of peace. Is that true?"

"You're not fun at all, Sky God," Ravenwing sighed. "Anyway, yes. I have come on behalf of her Holiness to bring you an offer of eternal peace."
